I made it to my seat just as the bell rang. Junior year was gonna be Hell. No one's even talked to me yet... Good thing I have my phone with the Pokemon app on it. I also have Tumblr. Yay.

I looked up to see a beautiful girl. She lit up the room.

And then it darkened when this other guy, super-ultra-douchecanoe walked up to her, called her bitch, and shoved her a bit. She smiled, told him to "Fuck off," and sat down.

Right next to me.

I could feel my face grow crimson.

She looked over at me, a new face here, and smiled.

But her eyes... Those wonderful eyes...

Hid terrible terrible things.

There was such darkness in her eyes. Her eyes were... Tumblr blue... a nice, vibrant dark blue. It had hints of mint closer to the pupil.

They were mesmerizing.

They were amazing.

I smiled back. Her smile faltered. I looked at her, dead serious.

"What, Miss...-"

"Jacklyn. I'm Jacklyn. But call me Jackie or JJ. Please."

"Alright, Jackie..."

She grinned slightly before sobering.

"What is it, Jackie? Is it the scar?" I said in a normal voice; purely monotonous.

Her eyes narrowed. "I'm not that shallow-"

"Ash."

"Ash." She finished, scowling.

"Well, pardon me. I thought maybe-"

"Maybe, Ash, you shouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly. I don't know what the fuck happened to your face, but you look a thousand times cooler, especially with the black hoodie."

I smiled, a real, genuine smile.

My first smile in months.

She smiled back.

I made a friend.

At lunch, I had no idea where the Hell to sit. I scanned the cafeteria for a good place to be alone that wasn't by the trash cans, but there weren't any open spots. However, I did notice the open spot next to Jackie...

She smiled as I sat next to her. Her friend, this one girl with glasses and platinum hair, stared in awe at me.

"H-H-Hi t-there-"

"Hi!" I said, happily. I had a friend group, albeit a small one filled with girls.

But I didn't mind it.

They were actually really fucking awesome.

Jackie knew Pokemon like the back of my hand. We had a lively conversation about the best type. She's awesome!
