"How did it happen?" Vikram asks softly, not being able to meet the man's eyes. 

"She went missing for a few hours and then her car was found outside of the city. She died in that car accident." Naina's husband says, voice oozing raw emotion and pain. 

Vikram nods his head, not being able to do anything else. This cannot be an accident. That person is vicious who is after him. That person is killing people left and right just to prove to him that they won't stop that easily. He feels guilty for suspecting Naina. She had always been a faithful employee. She made sure to walk an extra mile to keep Vikram's health in check. Guilt eats him up slowly when the realization dawns on him that it's because of him Naina lost her life, leaving her little kids and husband behind. Naina's husband looks miserable while her innocent kids don't even know their mother won't ever come back. 

"She promised the kids to take them to the amusement park next week. But now…. She…She…" the man breaks down.

Vikram likes to believe he is a strong man, both emotionally and physically. But certain things make him feel weak on the knees. He can't stand the helpless look of Naina's husband, knowing it's all his fault. But he doesn't know how to console somehow. So, he lets the man weep his heart out. 

That person knew he would be shaken by Naina's death. If even his employees aren't safe then his family is at greater risk. He can't let anything happen to Veer. 

"Did you file a police complaint?" The man nods his head. 

"But they declared it was just an accident. They closed the case." 

Vikram leaves the mourning family on their own after exchanging a few more words and giving Naina's husband an envelope which contains a cheque. A cheque that will be enough for the man to manage his and his kids' expenses for the next 5 years. Sadly, he can't do more than that for now. He will be talking to the police regarding Naina's death. Maybe that will lead him somewhere. 

This is a clear threat. He knows the killer will make a move soon, they will send him another message soon. He is afraid for the people around him. He will have to appoint bodyguards for the people he is close to. He doesn't know when that bastard will strike and harm who. He will have to be alert. 

No matter what he is doing, everything is meeting with a dead end. How can that person be so smooth about everything? There should be some mistakes. He will wait for it while working on his investigation. He just hopes it's not too late.

Kairav has come to college after ages. Though he wanted to waste his day by staying in bed the whole day, his brother didn't like the idea and forcefully sent him there. Now, what's better than eating your best friend's head when you are annoyed? Nothing. 

"Kai, if you don't want me to kill you, shut up." Tani warns through her gritted teeth. 

"Aree, but I don't understand this." Kairav whines, shoving the notebook to her. 

"How many times do I need to tell you that I failed that subject?" Tani mutters, rolling her eyes when Kairav laughs. 

"Ah, here it is. You failed. You failed the easiest subject and yet you have the audacity to call me stupid." He grins at her, tani punches his teeth, hurting both him and her. 

Kairav is an annoying piece of shit. He has been reminding her of the fact that she failed a test the whole day just to prove the point that he is more intelligent than her. While Tani agrees with him in this regard, she doesn't appreciate him annoying her like that. 

"Are these teeth or fucking blades? My hand hurts!" Taani whines while Kairav wails, gaining everyone's attention in the cafeteria with his drama. 

"My teeth! My teeth! Do you know how hard my parents had to work to give birth to a fine specimen like me and you have the audacity to punch me in the face?! They literally had to have-" Taani gags his mouth with her hand and glares at everyone who dares to look at them. 

"Have some shame. They are your parents. Eat now. I will buy you an ice-cream later. Please, just stop fucking eating my brain and stop your drama." Tani pleads, still gagging him with her hand. 

"One won't do. I need five." Kairav says as soon as Tani removes her hand. 

"I will buy you the whole shop." 

"Don't give me empty promises. Your miser ass would never do something like that." Tani ignores him and enjoys her food. 

Just when Kairav is about to come up with something else to annoy Tani, a girl makes her way towards their table, a not so inNOcent smile tugging at her lips. 

"Hey!" She says cheerfully, gaining a glare from Tani which the girl chooses to ignore. 

"He is gay." Tani says, smiling at the girl. 

She hates this girl with all her being and she doesn't want her anywhere near Kairav. 

"Don't falsely label me. I'm foodsexual for now." Kairav replies, throwing daggers at his friend. 

The girl's not too soft laugh gains Kairav's attention. He looks at her and says, "Hi!" 

"I had some movie tickets with me. Wanna come?" She eagerly asks, smiling brightly at him. 

"No ice-cream for you if you say yes." Tani mouths to him when he steals a glance of her. 

"Can we have popcorn, cold drinks, pizza, ice-cream and biryani?" The girl nods her head. 

"If you want." She says. 

"Great. Notify your wallet then. I also enjoy a buffet after the movies." Kairav smiles sweetly but listening to him, her smile falls. 

"I….. Actually, I just remembered I've an unfinished assignment due tomorrow. Maybe some other time." She makes an exit right after that. 

"You could have directly said no to her." Tani laughs. 

"What's the fun in that?" Kairav shrugs his shoulders. 

"Be careful around her though. She is the crush of that jerk in the Science department. That fucker is batshit crazy when it comes to her." 

"I'm so scared that I want to run away with this girl just so see what the fuck he does." 

Their chattering quiets down as they focus on eating. You will find Kairav quiet only when he is busy eating. Tani really appreciates the silence. 

Unknown 
Why aren't you in the office, Sharma? 

Kairav looks at the unknown number for a few seconds in confusion then he understands who this is. 

Kairav 
I can get you arrested for stalking, ghostie. 

He doesn't get to enjoy his food when he gets another text from the same number. 

Unknown
How did you know it was me, clown? 

Kairav smirks at himself before taking his phone in his hand to reply. 

Kairav 
Your rotten best friend would say "come to the office right now, Sharma!" 

Unknown 
True. You got some brains, kid. 

Kairav 
Yeah. I got yours too. I have had it on sale for ages but no one is interested in buying a rotten piece of meat. 

Unknown 
Enjoy your freedom while it lasts. We are coming to collect you. 

Kairav 
What do you mean? 

But that annoying ghostie is ghosting him and has left him on read. 

"Are you texting your girlfriend or something?" Tani asks, getting curious. 

"Ehhh, not a ghostsexual." Kairav makes a disgusted face before calling the certain ghostie. 

"What do you mean? Today is my day off! I ain't wasting my shit on-" 

"What if we go somewhere to have fun?" Nilay cuts him off. 

"To dispose of my dead body in some deserted forest?" Kairav inquires. 

"You watch too many crime shows, clown. Get ready. We are coming." Nilay cuts the call, leaving Kairav confused. 

"Tani, if I don't come home in one piece then prepare your ass and burge into my jerk boss' house. But don't tell bhaiya anything."

Kairav is waiting for the ghostie to arrive. What work do they have with him now? He has sent a text to his bhaiya saying he has some urgent work in the office but here he is waiting for them to arrive. 

"Is it him?" He hears a boy asking some other boys , pointing towards him. 

They look like trouble. What do they want from him? 

"No. This isn't him." Kairav says when they come closer to him. 

The hallway has to empty right now! Everyone is in class right now but he is about to get beaten up as it seems. 

"You dared to woo my girlfriend? Do you know your place?" The guy threatens, coming closer to Kairav. 

"I would rather let a truck run over me." Kairav says, rolling his eyes. 

The guy surprises him by punching him hard. This fatherfucker! 

Kairav isn't the one to fight. He likes to preserve his energy for future uses but he won't let anyone touch him and let them go without putting up a fight. 

He kicks the boy in the balls, making him yelp in pain. The boy's minions come forward to fight him but Kairav gives each of them 1 high kick. Kairav is lucky that there are 2 minions only and just a few days ago Tani taught him how to kick like that, making him the victim of her brutal attack. 

When the main guy who's name he doesn't know punches him again, he kicks his stomach twice and sends him flying towards the ground.

"Touch me again and you won't be able to finger your little girlfriend anymore." Kairav warns sweetly, stepping on the boy's hand. 

Kairav doesn't notice but a group of 4 boys approach the scene to come to their friend's rescue. Before they can reach Kairav though, 2 men block their way. 

"Are you gonna deal with them or me?" Nilay asks, getting excited. 

He hasn't fought in a long time plus it's fun messing up with college jocks. 

"I will enjoy the show. You go on." Vikram says, watching Kairav teach the other boy a lesson. 

He can't help but smile proudly at the boy. He is handling himself quite well. He feels like a proud big brother watching his title brother throw his first punch. 

"Are we done?" Vikram says, gaining Kairav's attention. 

Kairav rolls his eyes. 

"I think I would like to ruin his face like he ruined mine." Kairav replies. 

That's when his eyes fall on the blood and bruise on Kairav's face. He wants to teach the boy a lesson, his blood boiling but he is sure that Kairav is capable of taking care of himself. 

"I'm tired. Can you punch him for me, please?" Kairav asks sweetly as if he was asking for candy. 

Vikram chuckles at that. This boy never ceases to surprise him. 

"Why did you hit him?" Vikram asks the boy, grabbing him by the collar while Kairav stands there, panting like crazy. 

"Cut the monologue and just punch him in the face right where he punched me." Kairav urges, he is getting tired as he has used a lot of energy already. 

"Touch him again and you won't see the daylight again, do you hear me, boy? I will make sure of that. I advise you to take my words seriously." Vikram says to the boy who trembles in fear. 

Vikram is one intimidating man. It's a common reaction from a college student when he is getting threatened so openly by Vikram.

He lets the boy go after threatening him much to Kairav's disappointment. 

"I shouldn't have trusted you. You wound me with your betrayal." Vikram rolls his eyes. 

"Let's get you treated." Vikram says instead. 

"Oh no, my precious AB negative blood. Should have taken some money from him as compensation." Kairav says. 

Vikram drags the boy to the nurse's office while Nilay follows them. 

Vikram understands Kairav doesn't turn into a baby when he is drunk, he turns into a baby when he is hurt. He is creating havoc while the nurse is trying to tend to his wounds, throwing tantrums.

"How many ice-creams are you eating? It's not good for your health." Vikram advises Kairav to which Kairav shrugs his shoulders. 

"I advise you to get the adoption paper ready if you want to lecture me like you are my older brother." Vikram rolls his eyes but doesn't say anything, this boy is hopeless. 

It was Nilay's plan to take Kairav out with them to try to understand if he remembers something or not. Vikram is getting worried about the whole thing. This boy better not open his mouth in front of others. But what's the chance he will open his mouth now. What if he actually doesn't remember anything? It's been 2 days already. 

He is already on Naina's case. However, the police was unable to come up with something as expected. His private detective are working on it. He has taken today off from work to get some rest but Nilay has other plans. H didn't oppose because he also wants to know how much Kairav remembers and how can he make the boy understand that situation if it calls for it.

"Alright, what's the matter?" Kairav asks, taking a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth. 

"What do you mean?" Nilay asks while enjoying his cone ice-cream. 

"Do you think I'm dumb like you? What are you two on? Why are you two here?" He wiggles his eyebrows. 

"Slow down, aren't you tired of speaking too much?" Nilay asks. 

"Answer me." Kairav demands. 

"Promise you won't tell anyone?" Nilay asks, making Vikram confused. 

"What are you on?" Vikram asks his best friend who winks at him. 

Vikram Impatiently waits when Nilay whispers something to Kairav. 

"Awww, my pity is with you, Mr.Arora. No matter how awful you are, how unbearable your existence is, how much of a jerk you are, that girl shouldn't have broken your heart that way." Kairav pouts, patting his boss' shoulder. 

"You little piece of shit!" Vikram smacks Kairav's head while he is about to eat his ice-cream, causing him to hit his face with the ice-cream. The ice-cream cup falls to the ground.

Kairav grabs Nilay's cone and throws it at Vikram's face immediately, not knowing how else to do to get even. 

"Not my ice-cream!" Nilay whines. 

"You-" Kairav gets off the bench they were sitting on and runs away to get away from Vikram's wrath. 

It's like he is being chased by Sanjay minus the slippers. 

"Wait here. I will kill you today." Vikram mutters, running after the boy. 

"Mr.Arora, I hope you understand the weight of your words. You are threatening my life. Wait and watch for my brother to break your door with the police once again." Kairav says while trying his best to get away from Vikram. 

"Time out. Time out, please. I will pass out." Kairav huffs, sitting down on the road. 

Vikram is embarrassed by his own act. He didn't realize they were on the road, beside an ice-cream parlor with other customers around. 

"I will kill you once we are out of here." Vikram warns. 

"Yeah. First buy me a bottle of water. I'm thirsty." Vikram can't be any more surprised by the boy. 

"You want to kill healthy prey, trust me. It's more fun." Kairav gives his best puppy eyes to his boss, making him huff. 

"Fine. Get up from there. You are sitting on the dirty road. Go to the car." Vikram suggests going towards a shop to buy a bottle of water. 

Kairav goes towards Nilay to find him enjoying another cone. Before Kairav can snatch it away again, he gulps down the entire cone. 

"You clever ghost." Kairav comments while laughing. 

When Vikram gives him a bottle of water, he cleans his face first and then drinks the whole bottle. Today's gonna be a long day. He will make them both pay today and he is sure of it. 

While they are busy, they fail to see a pair of eyes following their every action. Though Vikram has a set of bodyguards around, the pair of eyes belong to someone else who works for someone else. Someone who wants to take revenge on Vikram and destroy him. 

The discreet follower informs  his employer of everything that is taking place in front of his eyes. 

"Get rid of the kid next. He is annoying me." The person says to the follower.
