KAGEYAMA MET UP WITH THE others at their usual meeting place after school.

"Guess what Nishinoya-san?! Kageyama completed the step yesterday!" Hinata exclaimed.

The ravenette already informed his partner beforehand unable to contain his happiness and pride.

Their upperclassman widened his eyes in suprise.

Grinning, he brought out his phone again. "Then that means step 3 is next!"

This time, Kageyama cooperated with them while silently anticipating the outcome of the next step.

"This is perfect!" Nishinoya exclaimed.

Hinata vigourously nodded his head in excitement. "Kageyama would be able to show his awesome serve and cool sets!"

Kageyama bit his lip containing his thrill.

Well, he is known as the King of the Court (in a good way) and the Genius Setter of the Miyagi Perfecture.

Surely he'd be able to grab Y/N's attention.

This time, he was confident that he'd be able to easily complete the task.

The other two looked at Kageyama and saw the excitement in his eyes.

They looked back at each other and grinned.

"If it's alright, my cousin wants to watch our volleyball practice." Shimizu says to the team.

(A/N: Btw your last name isn't as the same with Kiyoko's bc I find it confusing so I decided that your dad would be the brother of Kiyoko's mom:D)

Kageyama's heart pounded, not out of nervousness but out of anticipation.

Hinata and Nishinoya eagerly nodded their heads in agreement to their manager knowing how this moment would be the perfect oppurtunity.

Few minutes after the team's warm up, a H/C-haired girl entered the court.

"Hi!!" The girl happily greeted them.

Everyone happily greeted her back in return, captivated by her aura and beauty which were alike to their manager's.

"Kageyama! Will you play?" The girl approached her admirer.

Nishinoya and Hinata snickered to themselves eyeing the two.

Kageyama tried his best to keep his wide smile to himself, before smirking, trying to look cool.

"Yeah. So watch the game Shorty."

She crossed her arms. "Let's see if you'll get this Shorty impressed then, Airhead."

Kageyama chuckled to the girl as if telling her to just watch.

"Kageyama! Prepare!" Daichi, their captain yelled out to him.

He nodded his head before faintly bidding Y/N a small goodbye.

Sitting beside her cousin, Y/N watched the game that was about to start.

"I see you and Kageyama are close." Shimizu smiled at the E/C-eyed maiden.

She laughed. "Probably? He doesn't usually talk with me much. We only started to joke around with each other yesterday."

"I see." Her cousin giggled before continuing.

"Do you know he's one of our most precious member?"

She rose a brow. "How so?" Y/N asked curiously.

"He's nicknamed as the King of the Court, but he never liked the name so I suggest not calling him that. A lot also call him as the Genius Setter of Miyagi as well."

Y/N's eyes widen in awe. "Genius Setter?"

"Mhm. He could set the ball anywhere and to anyone in perfect accuracy. He's really good at adjusting his sets to the spikers as well."

"Whoa.." Her eyes turned back to Kageyama who was already staring her before quickly looking away.

"He's quick to think and fast to react. It's quite scary really." Shimizu chuckled.

"I wonder how it really seems like in a match.." Y/N quietly mumbled to herself.

Kageyama was first to serve.

He was on Team A with Hinata and Nishinoya on Team B (but not on the field yet).

"Kageyama, nice serve!"

The boy played around with the ball, bouncing it on the floor before focusing on it.

'Don't fuck this up Tobio..' He says to himself.

Tossing the ball to air, he jumped and did his jump float serve perfectly earning his team their first point.

Y/N stared, awestrucked how Kageyama was able to concentrate on aiming the ball in perfect timing despite jumping.

But what the girl truly anticipated was his sets.

She heard how setters were important to the game since spikers wouldn't be able to attack without sets given by the position.

In conclusion, there would be no offenses without setters.

Back to the game, Kageyama positioned his stance once again.

He threw the ball upwards before running towards it and jumped, spiking the ball.

Like before, it had scored once again earning Team A their second point.

"Kageyama, nice!"

The boy looked back at his crush to see her smiling at him with pride.

Blushing, he showed her a small and awkward smile which didn't go unnoticed to Nishinoya since he stiffled a laugh.

As Kageyama did his serve, but it was a bit sloppy so Daichi was able to recieve it.

She pursed her lips, trying to conain the exciteness inside.

And that because, she could see the sets she had longingly anticipated for now.

As team B accidentally gave the other team a chance ball, Kageyama immediately knew that this would be the time to flex his talents.

Getting a good receive, the ball tossed towards Kageyama to which he immeditaly replied with a perfect and accurate set.

Then it all went so suddendly.

Y/N's eyes and mouth widen in awe.

'What was that?!' She thought to herself.

Kiyoko giggled by her surprise expression. "That was a quick attack. A lot call them the freak duo." She explains as if she heard your thoughts.

Y/N momentarily stayed speechless out of awe.

That was when she suddendly bursted into exploding emotions ranting about how cool Hinata was and especially, Kageyama.

Speaking of the raven-haired boy, he stole a quick glance and smirked with pride.

Several minutes passed and Y/N continued to learn more about the sport.

Nishinoya and Hinata pretended to be extremely tired so they annoyed both Daichi and Suga for a break.

"Okay okay! A break it is." The father figurd of the group announced.

The orange-haired boy turned to Kageyama showing a thumbs up.

Kageyama nods and wiped his sweat before jogging towards you. "H-hey L/N..!"

Y/N turned around with a big smile, striking a arrow at the poor boy's heart.

"Kageyama you were so cool! The ball was like-"

The girl continued to ramble on how cool and awesome it was, flattering the ravenette.

Kageyama only froze out of embarassment, scratching his neck while blushing red.

Nishinoya and Hinata pumped a fist, smirking proudly.
