KUROO PONDERED, LOOKING AT his phone.
He wanted the best for his junior, Lev. So he'd do anything he can to set him up with Y/N.
The second step was to frequently be around his crush.
And Kuroo knew that just visiting her shop everyday wouldn't be enough to catch her attention.
What Lev needed was an excuse to see Y/N. Something that will keep them both to see and interact with each other.
"But what..?" Kuroo mumbled.
"Kuroo-san! What do I do today?"
The ravenette captain turned his head and saw his half-Russian junior running to him.
"Yo, you finish with your classes?" He showed a smile, keeping his phone.
Lev eagerly nodded. "I can't wait to see L/N."
"Don't let this crush thing hinder you from learning to recieve the ball though." Kuroo snickered making the other groan.
"And I still have to learn how to cook... I need to make my sister believe that I'm independent." He sobs.
Kuroo's light bulb brightened, an idea popped up. "Cook? Hmm..."
'Cooking and baking are closely related. Maybe she can help him cook.' He thinks to himself.
"Hey Lev, you need to be around Y/N as much as possible. I'm sure she's kind enough to teach you how to bake."
'Ah, I meant cook.' Kuroo realized his mistake.
"Oh! I get to be with her more then!" Lev's eyes twinkled.
It seemed like he didn't notice.
'Oh well. I'll just tell him later.' Kuroo shrugs his shoulders.
. . .
This time, Y/N worked behind the scenes at the kitchen where the magic behind their sweet desserts happen.
Under the guidance of her grandmother's recipes and aunt's training, she was confident with the goods she produced.
The pastry shop belonged to her single aunt who finally decided to open after much preparation.
Since it was near her school, she offered to help and enjoy baking while earning money.
Y/N's parents were supporitve and agreed to have her work part time.
A lot of her customers complimented and supported the girl as well-enough to boost her self-esteem.
So she was a hard working part time worker at Sweet Sensations.
While preparing the warm delights, time to time would she occasionally peek a glance towards the entrance.
As if she was waiting-anticipating for someone.
It took her a few moments to realize that she was waiting for the tall half-Russian boy.
He really did leave an impression on her.
Y/N smiled to herself. He was adorable.
Until she realized she was unintentionally decorating a pastry with hearts all around, making her blush in embarassment.
"Oh Y/N you airhead." She lightly hit herself, flustered.
She sighed to herself, tucking her hair using her wrist.
"Y/N! The tall Russian is here." Her aunt bumped her hips to her niece's wearing a smug smirk.
Growing up, her auntie became her close friend too so they were comfortable as ever.
And yesterday, her aunt didn't fail to witness the interaction shared between Y/N and Lev.
"Aunt!" She held back the embarassed blush.
Heading out from the kitchen, Y/N halted in her footsteps when she noticed Lev already setting his eyes on her.
But her excited look dropped when another guy randomly-and not to mention rudely-pushed Lev aside.
"Love bug!" He called Y/N.
"Ah... who are you again..." She mumbled to herself.
The girl grimaced whilst Lev angrily scowled at the guy. Especially how he was looking at his crush.
"I decided to bless you yet again with my presence today!" The guy winked at her.
"Oh." Y/N simply looked away, uninterested.
Though she felt the menacing aura Lev was trying his best to hide. So she turned to look in concern at the half-Russian boy whose eyebrow is twitching.
Y/N chuckled to herself before plastering a smile at the customer.
"Sir, we stand with the saying, First come First serve. So if you would be so kind-do refrain from skipping the line."
"Aww no special treatment for me?" He cooed.
Before Y/N can reply, it took her a back when Lev planted his hand on the thug's shoulder.
"Hey! What's up with..."
His voice trailed low to a whisper when he turned around to see the very tall and naturally intimidating half-Russian boy.
Gripping his shoulder, the guy trembled.
"I came here first." Lev bluntly spoke.
"H-huh? Oh! Yes, of course-my bad!" He nervously laughed before exiting the shop in humiliation.
Grateful, the girl laughed making Lev blush and turn to look at her again.
"Hi L/N!" He turned back to his cheery self, greeting her with a dorky grin.
"Hey Lev! Thank you for dealing with the rude customer." She wore the same smile that caused the boy's heart to race.
"N-not a problem! Hah, I can take down all the bad guys for you!" He smugly smirked.
"You came by again too." She muttered.
"Of course. After all, I wanted to see you again." Straightforward as ever.
Kuroo stiffled a laugh, annoying Kenma.
"Is that so? I'm happy you do." Flustered, she tucked a hair strand behind her ear.
The shy gesture made Lev giddy and smile more.
That was when his emerald eyes laid on Kuroo who was signaling him a 'go' sign making Lev's mouth shape into a circle.
He then turned to Y/N.
"Say L/N, I want to get you know better!"
"Eh?" Caught off guard by how straightforward he was.
"H-how do I become closer to you? Oh! Baking will do, right?" He showed a determined look.
Y/N was startled by the bold move the innocent boy did.
Meanwhile Kuroo couldn't handle it and wheezed making Kenma roll his eyes.
If he knew Lev would just bluntly tell his intention, he shouldn't have intervene and made an excuse.
"Um, you're saying you want to get close with me?" Y/N blushed, not wanting to get the wrong idea.
It didn't take a second for Lev to eagerly nod with a grin.
"I want you to teach me not only how to bake but how to be close with you please!" He spoke in honesty.
Y/N's eyes twinkled. So she laughed lightly, catching Lev's attention.
"If you'd help me with my work here at the pastry shop, sure."
Lev immediately agreed, nodding. "I can chase out the bad guys!"
Clasping both of her hands, the girl showed a bright smile. "Delightful! When do you want to start?"
"As soon as possible please!" He grinned.
And with that, both were looking forward to an abundant of precious moments together.
