INT. BECKER LIVING ROOM – LATER

Sophie lies on the sofa writing in How to Fail.

SOPHIE (V.O)

If there's one thing I've learned from all of my mistakes, it's that it's never too late to fix them. Success isn't about getting it right the first time. Sometimes your biggest fails are the moments that teach you how to win.

There's a knock on the door. She answers it. Tray takes a step back.

SOPHIE

I'm not going to slam the door in your face.

TRAY

I was kind of getting used to it. I hear you and the drama crew are back on good terms.

Sophie just nods, not sure how to continue this conversation.

TRAY (CONT'D)

How'd you like the play?

SOPHIE

It was surprisingly enterglorbing.

TRAY

And a little weird, but...I happen to like weird.

He hands her a pile of mail.

TRAY (CONT'D)

We've been living right next door to each other, and I hardly know anything about you. Maybe we could hang out sometime—

Sophie shuts the door in his face and turns around. Quinn and Daniel stand in the kitchen doorway, eyeing her curiously.

SOPHIE

I'm a work in progress.

She runs upstairs.
