Sophie helps Quinn clear the table.

QUINN

Are you feeling okay? You've been quiet all night.

SOPHIE

I took some bad advice, and now I've hurt people who I thought were my friends.

QUINN

You want some good advice?

SOPHIE

Why didn't I think of that in the first place?

She moves to the counter and picks up How to Fail.

SOPHIE (CONT'D)

(reading) "The best way to fail at life is to not be yourself."

QUINN

That was my line.

SOPHIE

I tried being myself. It's not working.

QUINN

You shouldn't have to try at all. Just be Sophie.

SOPHIE

It's not that easy. What if I show who I really am and no one likes me?

QUINN

Then that's their problem, not yours. You're kind, smart, and the most giving person I know. Who wouldn't love you?

SOPHIE

I'm pretty sure the drama club hates me right now.

QUINN

There's still time to fix it. Nobody's perfect. We all make mistakes.

COLE
