How To Run Long Distance

So because I'm an idiot, I decided to sign up for long distance running for two hours a week. I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it.

Basically, two days ago I was forced to run up a hill- twice. And I realised that there are some nifty tricks to long distance running.

First one, look at the ground (unless you're running along a road or something). I almost ran into a person so this wasn't the most practical thing to do however it did make the distance seem shorter.

Secondly, play music from your phone or just in your head. The song will probably distract you slightly.

Drink water. Staying hydrated is very important.

Run with other people, it will push you to carry on going.
