Chapter 33

I felt a bit uneasy. Reading about this stuff in fanfics online or watching it on TV was one thing, but it was different when it was happening to someone you knew.

"I won't tell anyone, I promise. But if you don't want to keep going, I understand."

"You know, nothing really happened, and it's my own fault anyway. The bar was dimly lit, they only let in adults, and I dressed, let's say, pretty invitingly."

"That doesn't excuse her."

"Nooooothing happenedddd."

"How can I understand if you don't get to the point?"

"She started flirting with me, you know, like guys do, acting all musc butch while I was the girly girl femme type."

"So you're not a femme type?" I smirked.

"So, are you going to listen or not?" Bianca pouted like a total lipstick lesbian.

"I'm quiet, I'm quiet, sorry."

"Anyway, I ran away. I said I needed to go to the bathroom, but I climbed out the window and ran home, and I never went back there again. The end."

"What? Hahaha, sorry, but why the bathroom window?"

"I don't know, I was scared she might follow me."

"You've watched too many straight people movies. While you were chatting, she was probably already thinking about where to buy you an engagement ring, which house you'd live in, and which clinic you'd go to for IVF, you know."

Bianca burst out laughing, scaring the pigeons and the elderly couple.

"Sorry!" We apologized sheepishly to the old folks and the birds.

"You're right, but it was so scary back then."

"You're brave; I wouldn't have had the guts to do something like that."

"Let's go grab something to eat. They sell hot dogs nearby, and they have soy ones for vegans," the cheerleader suggested.

I stood up, mentally and physically feeling uplifted. "Listen, were you so upset because she recognized you?"

"No, I don't think so. I recognized her right away... and then all the memories came flooding back. But about her, I'm not sure. It feels like she suspects something."

"Oh, come on, she has loads of students, she's just a substitute teacher. I doubt she remembers you!"

"Well, thanks. I thought I was irresistible and unforgettable."

"Sorry, did I offend you?"

"No!!! I'm kidding... it just bothers me."

"Even if she recognizes you, she'll keep quiet for the sake of her reputation. And if she does say something, just tell her it wasn't you."

"Yeah, that's what I'll do on Monday. I'll go to the teachers office and say, 'Ms. Kalinowski, the girl you were flirting with at the bar wasn't me,' and all teachers will give me a standing ovation."

"And she'll be like, 'Of course, it wasn't you, I prefer them younger...'"

"Hahaha ewwwwwww! Grosssss... "
