Yep, I'm doing it. A Hetalia page, and there might be more. But I'm just going to jump right into this.

First off, it's fine to make a oc that isn't a real country. Just when you make the country, make it in the future (meaning in the 2050s or farther into the future) and have a logical reason on why it was made. Make the history, how it became independent, and how it got made. You need to every last detail planned, from accents to laws. From the population to imports and exports. From what the past to the way future. From what most of the population looks like to what's the most taboo and messed up thing you can do in that country. It won't be easy, but once your done. It will be amazing.

Next up is making a OC that is a real country, but does not have a canon character in the show. First thing to say is very important, quit white washing the characters. It's not to hard. Another thing that is about appearance is don't have them all neon, neko thing. The countries are meant to represent their people. Not how you want them to look. Also, research the country you want to make into a OC. Wikipedia can be helpful. Another thing off the top of my head, the OC country has to look like how their country is stereotyped to be like. Lastly, please quit shipping your OC with a canon unless it makes sense. Like one country is "close" to another country, like they help each other alot.

Now, some things to stop making OCs of. Counties (Different parts of a State or Province), Planets, or States. I'm sorry, but Hetalia is about countries. Also, how would they ever come into existance? The same way as the countries? Who knows when it comes to fiction.
