You have now reached the ultimate obsession stage. The stalker stage. This is the part where everything you've learned in the last few chapters comes into play. This is where obsession has excelled to a dramatic stage. The stage where you will finally understand that you are a stalker.
What is a stalker? Well, a stalker is someone who secretly obsesses over someone or something, usually without the person being stalked knowing. This is the same definition as a fangirl, don't you think? The only difference is fangirls usually express their emotions dramatically in public. A stalker is the opposite.
In my opinion, obsessing over a celebrity isn't really stalking.
Unless you are insane and you drive by their house every night and look through their windows. That's being a stalker. Being a fangirl doesn't always have the stalker feel to it. I know, you've been reading this book and I've been telling you to look up information on your obsession, but I don't mean so much that your brain has a meltdown. Just take a deep breath, and relax. You'll have plenty of time throughout your life to work on obsessing over your obsession.
For example, my celebrity obsession, Taylor Swift, is someone I look up frequently. I always want to be updated on what is going on with her life and career. That's normal. You love something, stay updated on it. Now, if I searched within the deeper depths of the Internet to find super personal things, I will probably be considered a stalker. You see what I'm saying? Just think about what you're looking up.
Now, if you are one of those fangirls that searches the deepest parts of the Internet, I have some things to tell you. Be careful. Some things you find on your obsession may emotionally or mentally scar you for life. I wouldn't know, of course, because I've never searched so deep about Taylor Swift. I'm also not stating that all the things you find in the Internet are going to be bad. I'm just saying, some things in people's lives can be super deep and personal. You never know what you'll find.
Now, you could also find things that make your fangirl emotions spark and come alive. Good or bad things, depending on which you prefer better. This new information you find could actually be good for your well-being. I'm just saying, everyone is different with their fangirl emotions, and I'm sure there are several ways or things that set a fangirl off.
For now, I think I should get into more depth on what a true fangirl stalker is. A fangirl stalker is the ultimate and obsessive fangirl. The one fangirl in the group that knows every little detail that's in their fandom.
For instance, if you asked me some hard questions about Taylor Swift that almost nobody could answer, I could probably answer them. That's just how much of a hardcore fangirl I've become. Same goes for Cars. I could answer basically any questions about Cars or Pixar you have.
There is also K-Pop, but I'm going to leave the knowledge and hardcore obsession to my friends. Although I am a super huge fangirl of K-Pop, I'm not as well educated as my friends. They are the fangirl stalkers in that department. I could ask my friends any question about popular K-Pop groups, and they could probably answer. They can even name almost everyone in all the groups they know, and I still can barely name half. Like I said earlier, people who've been in fandoms longer, have more education and more information.
Now that we have discussed the ultimate fangirl stalker, it is time for me to announce the step you've been waiting for. All the things I've told you in these chapter are going to come together. These steps will take you either on a joy ride or the worst journey of your life. Welcome, to fangirl-hood.
