I haven't checked my phone since that incident with Jake back at home. Kevin has been giving me company here and so did the group. Emily didn't pressure me much about what happened, but I did tell her about it. As for Kevin, he's been helpful and I think I need to tell him. He deserves to know. After all, he did save me from Jake.

"Is it just me or does it look like you and Kevin are.." Emily points out, as if reading my mind.

"Hm?" I asked, maybe I needed an outside perspective.

"You've been gawking at Kevin for the past few minutes while mumbling to yourself. What does that make you?"

"A crazy person?"

"Or you could be falling for him again," she shrugs. "You wouldn't be hanging out with Kevin if you and Jake are still solid as a boulder. I ship it so bad but of course make sure your feelings are genuine and not just looking for a distraction."

"I'm-"

"But then again, stay with your cheating husband or give your hardworking ex a chance?" she continued, cutting me off.

"I don't really know,"

"Of course you don't, and that's fine. You need time and I understand that you can't handle that sort of pressure. Now, let's go eat?"

"Okay," I smiled.

Thinking of what Emily said, I do realize that maybe I should give him a chance. I'd tell him what really happened between me and Jake. We all sat on the mat, settled on the sand. The scorching sun was replaced by a moon, reflecting on the shallow water. It was a scenic view, as if it was pulled out of a movie.

I sat beside Kevin and he flashed me a dashing smile. The one that I used to love.

Used to

I smiled back and rest my head on his shoulder. I felt him flinch at the contact but later on, relaxed and got adjusted to the heat out bodies are giving off to each other. The gang stared at us and teased us. 

"Truth or Dare?" Emily challenged.

"Alright," Everyone said, including me.

She spun the bottle and it landed of Clare. "Truth or Dare?"

"Truth," Clare says with a smile.

"Oh! Have you ever  read an erotic novel?" Dan asks. "Intentionally" he adds, smirking.

"Well.. Umh," she looks at us, "Yes, but who hasn't?" she says, looking away and Matt pulls her close, smiling.

Matt spins the bottle for her and it lands on Dan. "Truth or Dare?"

"Dare," He grins in arrogance.

"We dare you to make Fae jealous."

"Wait what?" Dan asks, confused at the childish dare.

"You heard us.." Matt and John said in sync. Dan then looked at us, the girls and then stared down at me. At my cleavage. Fae looks at Dan in disbelief and crosses her arms. Dan took this as a signal to carry her, bridal style out of the circle and to kiss her neck. I have a feeling they had that planned because the two are practically eating each other's faces off.

"Truth or Dare," I suddenly hear and as I look back at the group, they were staring at me.

"Dare," I said instantly changing my mind but I just internally sigh.

"We dare you to have a heart-to-heart with Kevin right now." Emily says.

"How can they have that if Kevin doesn't have a heart?" Dan butts in as he and Fae sat back down.

I pull Kevin up and smiled at him. I need to talk to him anyways. He follows me and we sat down on the boulders near the shore.

"I need to explain to you what's happening between me and Jake," I started.

He just stares at me, quite confused of what I was onto. I just stare back at him. I open my mouth to speak but he hugs me.

Kevin.. What are you up to?
