Mitch Point of View

* Beep Beep Beep *

I groan and lift my arm up weakly. I smack my hand down on a wooden surface. I groan again and open my eyes slowly. I look up to the alarm clock and smash my fist on it. I yawn and stretch my arms out plus my back. " Great morning already... " I slur my words. I slid my legs over the edge of my bed and push off to stand. I walk to my bathroom to get ready for the day. I close my door and look at myself in the mirror. My light brown hair sticks in every direction, my skin still pale, and a small, but noticeable scar runs down my jawline. The memories of my dad flash through my mind, sending shivers down my spine. I shake the images out of my head and start getting ready for my shower. My uniform all prepped on my counter from yesterday.

* Time Skip *

I dry off my hair and put my uniform on. Its a long sleeved white shirt and black dress pants. On the shirt has a heart with a school in the middle on the left chest area. I didn't like the uniform that much, but the school did say there might be a chance that they would be removed. Which I hope they do. I brush my teeth and leave my hair until it is completely dry. I walk out of my room and out into my hallway. " Morning sweetie! " My mom cheered as I entered the kitchen. " Hey mom.. " I smile. " Nice to see you up sweetie anyway I still can't get the fridge working, so just grab an apple. I will call someone to repair it. " I nodded and grab an apple. I sit in a chair and my mom walks up to me.

" Sweetie I am so sorry for what happened.. " She grabbed my head and tilt it. I sighed. " Mom it's fine.. You didn't know. " She wiped her eyes and smiled. " Ok. Have fun at school today. " I grinned and ran to my room to do my hair quickly.

Once I finished I picked up my backpack and swung it over my back. " By mom! Love you! " I yell and rush out the door. I ran to the bus stop and saw a few kids there looking down and tired. I stopped once I made it and managed to breath slowly. " Hey I haven't seen your face around here before. " I look to a boy to my left. " Hi. My name is Jason. " He held out his great skin tone hand. " Um. Yeah I'm Mitchell, but call me Mitch. " I smiled. " Cool bro. Anyway want me to introduce you to my friends since your. You know a new heart. "

" A new heart? " I tilt my head. " Yep. That's what we call are newbies. You in the hands off Heartly High School. The place where new hearts, old hearts, and broken hearts go.. " I nodded. I guess that's pretty clever to call new people new hearts. I thought. " But be careful Mitch.. In this school- " We started to enter the bus. " There are HeartBreakers. "
