Chapter 30 (end of pool scene, VOTE NO LONGER VALID)

(Alice’s POV: )

Recap: Probably my answer has crossed yours.” He raised the pistol and aimed it at him. Jim smiled confidently, with no fear in his expression. Slowly Sherlock lowered the pistol downwards until it was pointing directly at the bomb jacket. I breathed in and out, reminding myself I gave him permission to do this. All our eyes locked onto the jacket, John breathing heavily, Sherlock calm. Jim tilted his head, looking a little anxious for the first time. I looked at it sadly but confidently, straightening my back and standing a bit taller. As Sherlock held his hand steady, continuing to aim towards the jacket and Jim lifted his head and locked eyes with his nemesis. Sherlock gazed back at him and Jim began to smile. Sherlock’s eyes narrowed slightly.

As Sherlock and Moriarty stare at each other, the introduction to The Bee Gees’ song “Stayin’ Alive” began to play timely. Sherlock, John and I looked around, confused. Jim briefly closed his eyes and sighed in exasperation.

“D’you mind if I get that?” He asked, wincing a bit.

“No, no, please. You’ve got the rest of your life.” Sherlock answered nonchalantly. Jim took his phone from his pocket and answered it.

“Hello? ...Yes, of course it is. What do you want?” Jim answered snappily. He mouthed ‘Sorry’ at Sherlock, who sarcastically mouthed ‘Oh, its fine’ back at him. Jim rolled his eyes as he listens to the phone, turning away from Sherlock for a moment, then he spun back around, his face full of fury.

“Say that again!!” He shouted. Sherlock and I frowned. I swung my arm with the knife in it back and forth lazily.

“Say that again, and know that if you’re lying to me, I will find you and I will skiiiiiiin you.” Moriarty said venomously. Sherlock looked round at John and I. “Wait.” Jim said, still into the mobile. Lowering the phone, he began to walks forward. Sherlock looked at the bomb jacket fretfully and adjusted the grip on his pistol as Jim approached. Jim stopped at the jacket and gazed down at the ground thoughtfully before lifting his eyes to Sherlock.

“Sorry. Wrong day to die.” He said, sounding truly disappointed.

“Oh. Did you get a better offer?” Sherlock asked casually. Jim looked down at the phone, then turned and slowly started to walk away.

“You’ll be hearing from me, Sherlock.” He announced. He strolled back around the pool towards the door through which he originally came, lifting the phone to his ear again. “So if you have what you say you have, I will make you rich. If you don’t, I’ll make you into shoes.” He warned into the phone. Reaching the door, he raised his free hand and clicked his fingers. Instantly all the lasers focused on Sherlock, John, and I disappeared. As Jim walked through the door and vanished from sight, Sherlock looked around the pool but could see no sign of the retreating snipers. John sighed out a relieved breath and I put my knife away finally.

“What happened there?” John asked.

“Someone changed his mind.” Sherlock started ominously.

"The question is: who?" I finished.

I finished the pool scene but  I still need votes, so I just changed it a bit:

Okay, so I was planning on doing the next three episodes, but I wasn’t sure how long that would make this book. I have to do Reichenbach Fall no matter what, so I was trying to decide if I should skip A Scandal in Belgravia or not, or do The Hound of Baskerville or not. I want to put it to a vote to any readers I have.

Put “Alonso” if you want me to do Baskerville.

Put “Ruffles” if you want me to skip the rest of the episode. (The Irene episode has Shalice fluff ;) )

Put “Sheet” if you want me to do the whole episode. Or just specify =)

This is important and I will not be able to update any more until I have more votes! Again, this isn't just to get more comments; it's really for the sake of the flow of the book and what you guys want! So vote, comment, and enjoy fun peoples! =D
