Things get ended.
A/N - Hello! This is the final chapter (I actually mean it this time). There are so many people I want to mention but for now, thank you to bakushimaforever for being the most recent person to vote/follow and Ma_boi_Lafayette_ for recently commenting and also following me.
For the last time, I hope you enjoy...

His name was Jason - he knew that much.
Jason. Jason Grass. Great. Gra-
"It's Grace." the strange blond woman beside him when he'd first woke up had corrected; Hera is what she'd introduced herself as. She'd also said she was Jason's mother, but he hadn't been quite ready to believe that one. He'd known something had happened to him, no-one lives their whole life without memories, but he hadn't been sure whether these people, these wolves (he knew that much) were people he could trust. How could he trust them? In Jason's head, those people, cautious yet concerned, had kept him in this room, wondering who he was, whilst Jason hunted, foraged and desperately tried to pursue a glimpse of recollection; how do I know these people aren't dangerous? That's why, when a dominant beta (who'd introduced himself as Nico) had walked in, Jason had growled aggressively. Despite seeing the shock and slight hurt in the onyx eyes, Jason hadn't backed down. Nico never returned after that. Jason also hadn't gotten any other guests afterwards apart from the same woman, his supposed 'mother'. That had been until he arrived. With disheveled black hair and rose-red lips gasping for air, it was clear this boy had come in a hurry - and that he shouldn't have been there. Their eyes had met and Jason had frozen, lost in the vibrant green eyes of the submissive wolf that'd been before him. Jason had been surprised, not only because of the overwhelming sense of hope within the emerald orbs but the immense familiarity Jason had felt when he looked at them. Perhaps he should've held onto that spark of familiarity but in that moment Jason had felt fear, he wasn't sure he wanted to know the full extent of what he'd lost. So when the raven-haired boy had stepped closer, Jason had grown defensive. His blue eyes had turned stormy and he'd snarled viciously. Unlike Nico's brief flash of hurt, Jason saw every emotion flicker in the boy's eyes: pain, despair, heartbreak. Jason hadn't had time to regret his actions before the room's door had slammed shut leaving Jason alone once more.
Percy.
Jason had remembered far too late.
"Mate." Jason had whimpered as he'd fallen to the floor, wondering what on earth had happened to him and why he felt so empty.
******
Percy dove to the floor as he dodged a wild swing from Octavian. He couldn't grasp any sense of time although he knew he'd been fighting long enough to see the vampire's impossible speed slow down enough until his hits were at least visible. Percy should've been tired. Even though he still had super-strength when he wasn't in wolf form, Octavian should've had the upper hand by now - but he didn't. Octavian kicked, clawed, punched with excruciating force but Percy always returned with equal power. He wasn't in full wolf form, he wouldn't turn in fear of his savage fury taking over and consuming his humanity. He would do what he set out to do but he wouldn't draw it out, extend Octavian's torture despite what his wolf desperately wanted. Instead, he used memories of Jason his mate to keep him going. Fuel the rage. End the suffering.
Percy leapt from the muddy floor and pounced on the vampire. Octavian probably could've stopped the act from being fatal but in that moment his concentration slipped, and Percy heard the satisfying crack of the vampire's neck. The werewolf slumped against Octavian breathing heavily; he'd done it. With slow hands, Percy extracted what he came for and began to lumber back to his pack. Back to his friends; back to his mate; back to his home.

"Percy!" May screeched as she saw her beloved son stumble through pack boundaries. It was late evening and quite a crowd had gathered around the weary boy. May ran to hug her son only releasing pressure when Percy winced.
"Percy!"
"Percy!"
"Perce!"
Leo, Annabeth and the rest of Percy's friends shouted in relief. Rachel was the first to approach the worn-out wolf and she whispered quietly into his ear before Percy pulled out a vial and weakly shoved it a t her. Rachel took it and quickly rushed away. The rest of the wolves closed in on Percy offering him kind words and sympathetic smiles most of the pack not really understanding what the green-eyed boy had just done. Vampires in the crowd looked on solemnly as if they knew what had happened and accepted without judgement. Percy's friends, however, stood back after their initial check that Percy was alright - they eyes were alight with fiery determination. When the crowd stepped apart, and Percy met their determined stares, his eyes were on fire too.
Eventually the wolves and other creatures dispersed (only slightly due to a harsh stare from Reyna) and Percy finally had room to breathe. "Tell me the truth Percy," Hazel asked, "are you okay?"
"Truthfully, I think am... You know I honestly thought that this would break me - killing someone, no matter how cruel they are, isn't easy to take in. I think the fact that I did it to help those I care about has helped me. It's the same kind of thinking for Kronos as well. Never will I accept that killing someone is the right thing, but I know that what I have done is going to protect the ones I love... Sorry if that doesn't make sense but that's just how I feel." Percy huffed, "That's just how I'm coping with it."
"It's okay Perce," Reyna nodded, "I know as a leader we've all got to make tough decisions and sometimes the best we can do is to choose the choice that protects the most people."
The group of friends were silent for while before Percy noticed the absence in the group. "Hey, where's Nico?"
"Ooh! That's a much lighter note to be on, Will went into labour! He should be giving birth to a beautiful pup any moment now." Piper giggled.
"That's amazing!" Percy smiled as joy flooded his system.
"Yep." Piper continued, "I think his wolf sensed Silena's newborns and it induced labour for him too."
"Wait, what? Silena has had her pups? What else did I miss?" Percy laughed.
"Uh, only you're totally awesome brother looking like the hottest thing since the sun."
"Forget I asked Leo, forget I asked."
While the friends were happily chatting and laughing together, a certain redheaded warlock walked back onto the scene. When her eyes met Percy she gave a subtle nod; the potion worked. Jason was healed.

Everything was coming back to him at full force, memory after memory hit Jason like a stone giant. The mysterious vial of liquid Rachel had forced down his throat seemed to be the cure. He remembered everything: His dad, his mum, his packmates, Nico, Reyna, Frank and so many more.
And then there was Percy.
Jason hated himself for the way he had acted when his mate had come to visit him. He should've known, he should've remembered, he should've grabbe that familiarity and wrestled with it he should've-"Jason?"
Jason whipped his head around so that he was face to face with his mate. There was so much he wanted to say, so many feelings and emotions he needed to convey to the love of his life. Jason wasn't exactly sure how to start a conversation full of so much passion so he chose to speak with actions. He grabbed Percy by the arms, gently enough for Percy to know this was not a threat but with enough force for Percy to understand Jason's message: I'm not letting you go again. Jason's strong arms pushed Percy up against the wall and Jason's inner wolf revelled at the way Percy went limp in his hands.
"I love you." Jason whispered into Percy's neck before kissing up and down the tender skin gently. He left little marks all around the spot on Percy's neck that he would later bite to lay full claim on his mate. For now, Jason was just content knowing that Percy was okay. Together they would deal with the aftermath of all that had happened but that would be for another day. All that he needed right then was to hold his mate close, the rest of the world can wait.
"I love you too."

A/N - Yay! All done. I suppose I could've gone further with what happened in the aftermath of Jercy's chaotic roller-coaster but I thought I'd leave you lot to imagine a happily ever after.
Of course I've promised a sequel to 'You just keep on surprising me' which I've already started to write but my next long work will be:
Percy x Apollo set in Ancient Greece. Rough plot summary = 'The Hunters of Artemis face great tragedy unless they convince the son of Poseidon to join the group of man-hating immortals for a perilous journey. Meanwhile, an ever-annoying sun god (in Artemis' eyes) develops an interest in the green-eyed demigod.'
Quick question - What do you think about me including an OC? I have an idea about a hunter that Percy befriends but I can understand how that may be off-putting for some. (She'll become a semi-main character but definitely wont outshine Percy) IDK...
Peace x
