Singing Valentine

Hello. I forgot to say that the characters all belong to Jk Rowling, unfortunately.

The next day Ginny woke up, it was 9:00am on a Sunday and after only four hours of sleep she was exhausted. But anyway she managed (with a lot of mroaning and goaning) to get up from her warm bed. She was idling along to the great hall, when she was roughly pushed out of the way. Harry Potter walked past her barely acknowledging her existence. Without even a brief hello, he carried on trudging to the Great Hall. Ginny knew in her head she should tell someone, just to relieve her of the hurt she was feeling. She was reaching for her bag to tell Tom, when a hand grabbed her wrist.

"I saw that Ginny. There's no need to be upset, he's only a pathetic boy." Astoria said as she pulled Ginny towards the entrance to the kitchens.

"I'm not upset, just a little hurt that's all. And Harry Potter is not pathetic." Ginny argued.

Astoria raised her eyebrows. "Ginny I can clearly see your upset. And he is pathetic. You could do much better." Astoria smiled at her.

"Thanks. We're are you taking me?" Ginny asked.

"To the kitchens, so we can eat breakfast together." Astoria answered.

They had a race to the kitchens, Ginny won. Astoria arrived about 20 seconds after Ginny, panting as though she ran a marathon.

"Never do that to me again. I swear I'm going to die." Ginny had tickled the pear and was stepping into the kitchens when Astoria continued. "Ad....adleast wait for me to catch my breath."

"It was a 2 minute run here." Ginny laughed at her.

"I knew it was long but not that long. What are you trying to do, kill me!!" Astoria said, still clutching her sides. Which made Ginny laugh even more.

They ordered there breakfast, Astoria having a stack of pancakes and Ginny bacon and eggs. And sat down waiting for it to arrive.

"Hey whilst we wait, why don't we play a game?" I was thinking truth and dare." Ginny suggested.

"Truth and what now."Astoria asked bewildered.

"Truth and dare, it's a muggle game." Ginny said.

"Okay, what you do?" Astoria asked.

"Well if say I asked you truth or dare, you'd pick one. If you picked truth i'd ask you a question about anything in the world, and you would have to answer. If you pick dare, I dare you do do something."

"Alright then. Truth or dare?" Astoria said to Ginny.

"Dare." Ginny said.

"Okay I dare you to............ send Harry Potter a Valentine tomorrow." Astoria smiled evily at Ginny, however Ginny was not amused.

"No way. No. No. No." Ginny barked.

"Tough, you picked dare. And I hadn't finished. In zed Valentine it has to include a poem, and it has to sing the poem out loud."

"God I hate you." Ginny frowned at her.

"No you don't, and you know it." Astoria beamed.

"I'll do it if you send Malfoy one." Ginny smiled proudly.

Astoria eyes went wild. "It wasn't my dare." She protested.

"So that's my dare to you." Ginny proclaimed.

"But I didn't even pick dare." Astoria retorted.

"So chickened out, and took the easy road out." Ginny badgered.

"Fine I'll do it. God I hate you." Astoria sigh.

"No you don't." Ginny clarified.

After they finished there breakfast, they set to work on there poems. Ginny finished hers first:
'His eyes are green as a fresh pickled toad,
His hair as dark as a blackboard,
I wish he was mine, he's truly divine,
The hero who conquered the Dark Lord.' *

Ginny wasn't good at writing poems, but luckily for her neither was Astoria.

His hair is bleach blonde,
He casts powerful spells with his wand,
I know that we have a special bond,
Of him I am very fond,
My perfect Slytherin abscond.

With that they were finished and had read each other's. Both dreading that they have to sent them, firstly however they cast the charm. They had decided they were going to give send them by owl tomorrow morning. So for now, they tucked them neatly under the cupboard. And spent the rest of the day lounging lazily by the Black Lake.

The Next Day

The both of them were trying to go there absolute slowest, so they wouldn't have to send them Valentine's. But they both got there. Astoria arrived first and was reaching her card to dispose of it, when Ginny came in.

"Trying to get rid of it were you?" Ginny smirked at her.

"Fine you caught me. To make sure we both send them how about we send each other's. I send yours, you send mine." Astoria suggested.

"Alright by me. But let's make a pact." They did there pact. And on walked up to the owlery. Ginny was using the schools owl, and Astoria was using her own Tawny owl. On the count of three they both sent it. But when they went down for their breakfast they heard no poems being sung. The Great Hall was barely recognizable, it was pink. Ginny and Astoria slowly backed out, and went back to the kitchens.

"Where the hell, did are poems go?" Ginny asked.

"I have no idea." Astoria answered, but on their way their way to there classes their questions were answered. There was a large group standing around something. Ginny and Astoria barged there way to the front. Sitting on Harry's ankle was a little dawrf, singing Ginny's poem to Harry. The poem ended and people were still laughing.

"Ha, ha, ha Potter what a lame Valentine. I bet your mortified aren't you?" Draco Malfoy laughed even harder in Harry's face. But the dwarf didn't go away. Then it said in its gruff voice.

"Singing Valentine for Draco Malfoy." If it was possible Draco went paler. He tried to run away but the dwarf, tripped him up, and forced him to listen, to Astoria's poem. They both never ran so fast in their lives.

Hi. By the way this is JK Rowlings poem (well Ginny's) and the plot is some of hers but some of mine. In this one though Ginny hasn't got rid of the diary yet. So Harry doesn't have it.
Thanks for reading.
