Chapter 6 continued

Deidara put his hand on his chin. "Hmm.. let me think. The only contestants running here would be me, Sasori, Pain, Kakuzu, Zetsu, Hidan, Tobi, Itachi, and Kisame. I rule out Pain. He seems too serious, and he's also our leader, un. Am I correct so far?"

Taki nodded. She knew it would eventually come to Tobi, so she just waited. Deidara continued to think out loud. He got quieter though, because this was a secret. "Kakuzu and Zetsu are also kinda scary people, so I rule them out, too." He looked at Taki. She nodded.

Deidara smiled when he knew he was getting closer. "Hmm.. Hidan is too weird. He lives for pain, literally. And it can't be me, either. Kisame is nice, but it's not him, is it, hn?"

Taki nodded. "That leaves Sasori, Tobi, and Itachi. I really can't break this down anymore. I can't rule out any of those three. It could be any of them. Sorry, you're going to have to tell me which of them it is, yeah."

Taki didn't want to tell Deidara. She was too embarrassed. She decided to tell him, but without speaking his name. She got up, and walked back in the direction of their beds. Deidara, confused, got up too.

Taki sat down on her bed, and looked over at Tobi. She stared at him. Deidara sat down on Taki's bed, too. He looked at her, then followed her gaze to a sleeping Tobi. He understood.

He spoke in a low whisper. "I see. Hmm. While he does sometimes act like an idiot, he can be a very caring person. Heh, he's truly a laugh a minute, isn't he, un?" Taki blushed. Deidara laughed softly. "Y'know, now that I think about it, you two would make a cute couple."

Taki blushed harder. Tobi rolled over, and his body was leaning against Taki. He continued to sleep. Taki's face turned bright red. Deidara couldn't help himself. He laughed, but made sure he was still quiet.

Taki put a hand on Tobi's shoulder, which was now facing upwards, leaning towards her. She then got up. Deidara got up, too. "Where are you going, Taki?"

Taki went over to the river, and sat back down. Deidara did the same. Taki spoke. "I don't know why I like him. I just get this fluttery feeling whenever I'm around him."

Deidara put his arm around Taki. He didn't know what to say, but he knew he needed to comfort her. "Weeell, I guess you guys are an ITEM now, aaaarrre you?" Deidara and Taki looked over to see Tobi standing there.

Deidara took his arm off of Taki's shoulder. Tobi shifted uncomfortably. "Taki-chan, do you LIKE DEIDARA?!" Taki stood up. "Of course not! He was just making me feel better about something." Deidara stood up, too. "You nitwit. You have no idea what's going on, do you, un?"

Tobi was silent. "Ok that's good. We can't have that, can we?" He looked around. "Where are we?" Taki smiled. "It's my secret place." Tobi looked at her, then got excited. He ran around the clearing, dancing along the whole way.

He stopped in front of Taki, and said, "Oh thank you thank you thank you!" He pulled Taki into a hug. Taki's face went red. Slowly, she hugged him back.

Tobi took a step back. "Taki-chan you are so nice to Tobi... unlike Deidara senpai. He is not nice at a-" Deidara took a step towards Tobi. "One more word out of your mouth and you're a goner, you hear me, un?"

Tobi jumped backwards a few steps. "Sc- scary!" Taki laughed. Tobi loved hearing Taki laugh, so he continued acting idiotic.

They decided to pack up. They were going to stay at Taki's secret place for a little while before they left.

Tobi looked at Taki's hair. "Look at all that hair you have! Can I play with it?" Taki thought that was a pretty weird thing to ask, but she nodded. Tobi shouted with glee. They both sat down.

Taki's hair was about three and a half feet long. Tobi began to run his hand through Taki's hair. Chills ran down Taki's spine. Deidara held back a laugh.

He split her hair into three sections, and began to braid them. He was careful not to hurt Taki as he braided her hair. Taki was surprised that Tobi knew how to braid a girl's hair, and to do it with care!

When Tobi was finished braiding her hair, he tied it with a hair band that he apparently had on his wrist. He got up. "Don't move yet, Taki-chan! Tobi has to get something."

Tobi walked around the edge of the forest, gathering white colored flowers. He went back to Taki, and sat down. He began to place the flowers all through her hair. He stood up, and offered his hand to Taki.

She took it, and stood up. Tobi looked satisfied with what he had done, and got excited. "Go look in the water and see your hair! It's really pretty!" Taki blushed, and went to look in the water.

It was pure beauty; Tobi's braiding skills were truly magnificent. Taki's blue hair looked beautiful with the contrast of the white flowers. Tobi obviously knew what he was doing.

Taki looked at Tobi, her eyes glittering with tears of happiness. Tobi looked at her, then turned to Deidara. "Taki-chan looks pretty!"

Deidara blushed. "Uhh- yeah. She does." Tobi looked back at Taki. "Is Tobi a good boy?" Taki was silent. She slowly walked over to Tobi, and wrapped her arms around him, giving him a hug. "Yes, Tobi. Thank you." Tobi looked at her, and hugged her back.
