(Lucy's P.O.V)

I kept dodging Zelroth's fast attacks one after another. Zelroth hit my left arm badly when he shot over dozens of arrows at me. I couldn't even land a hit he was going so fast. "Come on Light Goddess! Fight me or perish!" I jumped from his attack, barely moving my wing away from his katana. "Please Zelroth! Instead of fighting let's make amends from our differences! Uphold a treaty of peace?" Zelroth clenched his teeth in anger. "No one...especially the Dark Ones, DESERVES SECOND CHANCES!" My sword stopped his from hitting my shoulder again. "Zelroth please, listen-"

The cold throbbing pain hit my insides again, but this time worse than the other two from Bolt and Fang. "What's... happening?" I cried, again holding my stomach from the excruciating pain. Zelroth yelled as he also held his stomach. "Bolt, Fang...now Nash. I have underestimated your friends my dear. But it hurts far worse now doesn't it?" I huffed deeply to catch my breath. "Why am I feeling this when you are going through this?" I questioned to Zelroth, falling to my knees. "It's so obvious Lucy. Yet you still don't know..." Zelroth used his katana as a came to pull himself up, still holding his stomach. "Just tell me already! What's the truth that the Dark Ones always talk about!?"

"You idiot! Think about what has happened over the weeks. You receiving angel wings, opening the portal back to this realm, feeling a burst of power when you need it most, this deadly feeling when a Dark One has fallen, the curses that should of killed you hasn't even taken a great toll on you yet! What are all of those connect to?!" My brain processed all the facts that he told.

All of the Dark Ones have wings.

Only the Dark Ones can open the portal to the Midnight Realm or EarthLand.

When I get this horrible throb in my organs so does Zelroth.

The curses were created by the Dark One so I should've died not to long ago.

All of this is connected to the Dark Ones!

"What are you saying? What you're telling me is connected to the Dark Ones and the Midnight Realm! What does the mean!" Zelroth inched forward using all his strength to walk.

"It means you are also a Dark One..."

I gasped with all of the air in my lungs leaving. The world stopped moving as time no longer ticked. No...this can't be true. "You-you're lying! I can't be a Dark One! I'm a reincarnation of the Light Goddess! How can I be a Dark One!"

"Seraphina felt your presence before the war. She felt how strong the darkness was in you and became scared for humanity and the Light. Seraphina gave up her life so she could give you the power of the Light which not only made you forget of what you really are, but sealing away the true ruler of Darkness! You were never meant to have a life Lucy! You were never to have a last name, or family, friends, or feelings! You destiny is to be evil and serve as the leader of the Dark! YOUR LIFE IS A LIE!" I grabbed my scalp, pulling my hair hearing Zelroth speak to me. "NO! This is a lie! I'm not meant to be evil! I'm a Fairy Tail Mage that wants to help people in need! To be the greatest Celestial Wizard! I'M NOT A DARK ONE!"

"No Lucy. You are a Dark One. The only reason why you haven't become your true self yet, is because of me! I still have a connection to the Darkness that lies in you. If I'm killed, then that connection will be broken, making you the last Dark One to hold the Darkness in your soul. That's why Seraphina and your conscience ordered you to not kill me!" I couldn't control my feelings anymore. My fear was bouncing all over in my head with all of this piecing together. "Th-then what was the other voice. The one that told me to kill you?" Zelroth's evil smile grew. "That was your true self speaking. It wants to be free from its prison that you put it in that you put your conscience in as well. Only it wants to show itself."

I-I'm a Dark One. All this time when I've been fighting evil to save the Light, I was always the destroyer of Light and good. My head hung in denial and confusion, giving Zelroth the perfect chance to blow his attack down onto me. "But, I can end this by killing you Lucy. Even though you're the true Dark One, I think I'll keep my place if you're going to be like this. Besides, who would want to be with a monster like you!?" Zelroth's shadow was over me, his katana in hand to kill me. "Goodbye, my dear!"

"LUCY-NEE~!!!"

A memory flashed in front of my eyes, giving me a deja vu moment. I see Seraphina on the ground with her sword out of reach. Her back is facing Zelroth who was hovering over her as he blew down his sword right down at her head.
"SERI~!" A the small innocent voice screamed, as he took the hit of the katana. "Teral..." I whispered, feeling him grab my shoulders before meeting Zelroth's blade. I was swished away as my exceed not only saved my life, but took me out of my dazed moment.

"Teral! Why are you here?! Natsu was watching you as I ordered him to! Go back now!" Teral continued flying, trying to find a safe location to land. "Lucy-nee my job is to protect you from death! You're meant to seal Zelroth away and if that means I get hurt in the process, then so be it! My loyalty is with you and only you Lucy-nee! That's why I even have an existence!"

My fists clenched I'm anger for Teral not obeying to me. "Teral! Go back! I'm not going to lose you, so in order to make sure that happens, you will leave NOW!" Teral stopped flying for a short moment to look down at my eyes that were facing upwards at him.

"Lucy-nee please, let me-"

A dark object lunged at Teral, piercing his body. My eyes widened with my brain processing what I just saw. I see blood splattering across my face as Teral let go of me with his eyes wide as well.

Teral was hit by a spear.

The spear went through his little body, in the lower stomach area. We both started to fall, not one of us having the strength to fly. "TERAL!!!" I screamed in agony, as he disappeared in the woods by the lake. I landed back first in the soil that once had grass and flowers, but was lost in the battle. No pain was felt even when I impacted the ground badly. I just saw Teral, the one I promised I would protect, get killed right before my eyes...

"That should kill him! My second time putting a weapon through his body so this time he should stay dead! Now, its your turn...my dear." I didn't even flinched as he made his way to me. His body covering the little light shining down at me with his katana right above my head. "So please my dear...stay dead as well." Zelroth dropped his katana down to my face with full force, but failed to kill me.

I unconsciously caught the blade with only one hand before it hit me between the eyes. With one hand, I stopped his attack. Zelroth had both hands on the hilt of his katana, using all of his strength and magic, to put the katana through my head. My one hand that still held his blade in place, wouldn't let him succeed.

"Yes Lucy...he just killed Teral. You have given him a second chance but because of that, Teral is gone... So what are you going to do about it?" My true self asked.

"Kill him!" I screamed with my voice and another demonic voice replied in unison. The katana cracked with my fists growing tighter around its thin blade. Zelroth gulped in fear, hearing my voice and seeing my new strength. With one more clench, I broke he sword in half with pieces of it flying everywhere. Zelroth opened his mouth in shock as I spawned my own in hand. "I will kill him and see his blood on my blade! I will show no mercy to any human being ever! That, is only meant for the weak!"

I felt her presence...Seraphina and my conscience. "Lucy! Don't do it Lucy! This is what she exactly wants you to think! Teral died with honor and knew his fate! He died protecting you Lucy. Do you want to repay him by killing Zelroth! This isn't what Teral would of wanted Lucy!" Seraphina cried in desperation, hoping to lead me out of the darkness. "Listen to her Lucy! You promise us that you won't do it! Doesn't a Celestial Wizard always keep their promise?!" I struck Zelroth in the stomach with my sword going through him as I got up.

"You never knew him Seraphina! You never took care of him as I did! I treated him as my own child, but you were to busy to even play with him! You don't know what he wants because you don't care for him! Besides, I was never meant to be a wizard! So consider this as a lie I was told! A truth being hid behind my back since both of you knew! This promise was a lie, SO WHY SHOULD I EVEN KEEP IT!" I grabbed Zelroth's throat with my left hand, making it hard for him to breath.

"You took half of me away...for that, your punishment is to die slowly and painfully by my hands...I will cherish the moment when I rip your spine out as I cut your head off. I...will be the Dark One I am meant to be!" Zelroth screamed even while being choking and thrashed from my hold in fear. "Please Lucy! Your power is to show forgiveness and mercy on a person! Why are you-"

"Shut it Seraphina! Because of you, I lost Teral! If you told me the truth then I would've prevented it from happening! It's your fault for this! So I will show you what you have prevented from this entire time!" With my sword in hand, I cut Zelroth's left arm off clean through as he wailed in agony from the excruciating pain. I laughed like a manic as I dropped him on the ground.

"Oh come on Zelroth! Like you said earlier, let the real games begin!"
I yelled as I kicked his ribs in, not holding back my insanity.

(So did you guys expect that! Lucy is a Dark One! Oh mai gaaaaaash! I gave a lot of hints to see if you guys would figure out!

But Teral...I hope you guys won't hate me. Trust me, it was hard writing that while I laughed evilly. So Lucy is now insane in the Darkness and is torturing Zelroth, Teral is killed, and Seraphina with Lucy's conscience is no longer trusted by Lucy.
