(Lucy's P.O.V)

"Phoenix's Flame!" The Commander's sword lit to life with a golden flame covering the blade. I flew to him with my sword at my side. "Do you think a little burn is gonna stop me?!" I shouted, swinging my sword to his side. His sword stopped me and pushed me back. "This flame was created by the Light Goddess with a drop of blood from a Phoenix. This can surly kill you if I wanted it to."

I pulled out four golden gate keys from my pouch. "Let's hope this works..." I whispered mostly to myself.

"Open! Gate of the Lion, Gate of the Maiden, Gate of the Golden Bull, Gate of the Goat! Leo, Virgo, Taurus, Capricorn!" The sound of the church bells were heard with four of my spirits together. "Lady Lucy!? How did you summon four spirits at the same time?" Capricorn shouted seeing my fight.
"There's no time to answer that! Virgo and Taurus! Go to the city and help anyway you possibly can! Loke and Capricorn, your staying here to help me. If we go air-borne then go to the city and help as well. Go now!" Virgo began to run while dragging Taurus behind her. Loke and Capricorn did their stance and ready to battle. "With the power of the Light Goddess you have grown stronger into summoning your spirits. I'm impressed."

My head began to throb with blood running down my nose. I stared to breath heavily with my lungs burning horribly. "No...not now." I cried holding myself up as much as possible. The Commander laughed. "But you seem to be sick! It's amazing how you're not even dead yet!" Loke came up closer to me. "Lucy. Let us take care of this. Summoning four spirits at the same time tired you out, so just rest for a moment while we take care of this bastard!" My emotions started to shut down with the pain slowly numbing away from Loke's words.

"You're being weak Lucy. They're fighting for you when this is your battle, your war! Stand up and fight for what rightfully belongs to you! What belongs to the Light Goddess!" Seraphina?

"Show Commander Sterling that he is wrong for defying you Lucy! You're stronger than you could ever imagine! Don't let his words or your spirits stop you! Be the Goddess you were meant to become and save your family from eternal darkness!" I glanced at Loke's worried face with his hand on my shoulder. I shrugged him off and went closer to Commander Sterling. "Change of plans Loke. You and Capricorn go to the city and help as well. I'll take care of this." My voice was monotone without any feeling in it. I couldn't feel the pain or the emotion to show mercy no longer. I set my wings up and flew high into the clouds leaving my spirits. "LUCY! WAIT!" Loke screamed but was pulled back by Capricorn. "Lady Lucy wants us to go help the city. If that is what we must do then let us proceed."

I disappeared when I entered into the clouds. Using my magic, I began twirling the clouds around me creating a massive storm hoping that Sterling will be captured into it. In the distance Sterling was fighting against the wind using all his strength to fly right. I pointed towards him with lightning coming out of my fingertips heading straight for him. Sterling made a shield appear at the last second before the lightning exploded making a a wave of sound, flinging me to one direction and him to another.

I landed in one of the streets to hear many sounds of people panicking and trying to run out of the fight. The metallic taste in my mouth made me want to throw up to get rid of the taste I knew to well. I stood up to see I was in a large crater that I created with my back and wings. "Well that hurt." I muttered while stretching my wings out and pulling out the broken feathers.

A shadow covered the the little sunlight showing through the grey clouds. I glanced up to see a large figure coming down onto me with a sword coming with him. I swiftly rolled to the side to barely meet the sword slash into my right wing. I gasped in pain and kneel to the ground to be held up by my fist. The crowd grew around with my friends in the front trying to back everyone up. Teral stood there bawling his poor eyes out seeing the pain I was hiding in my eyes. Sterling slowly brought himself up by his sword and put it under my throat.

"LUCE~!" Natsu screamed to me while sprinting to aid me. My hand went up to signal him to stop. Natsu crashed into a barrier I unconsciously made by accident. While Natsu started to beat on the invisible with Erza and Gray helping him, I held my chest where my heart began to beat faster by the second. "Your heart can't handle this Lucy. Let me end your pain and I will take care of your war. The curses are killing you and you know it!" The banging sound stopped whith my nakamas holding shocked expressions. Wendy had her mouth covered by her hands with tears beginning to slide down her small face. I clenched my teeth and held my eyes to the ground in defeat.

"These curses may be killing me, but it doesn't kill my will to just give up." I muttered making Sterling and the crowd gasp. "What did you say?" He asked in astonishment. I pulled my head up to meet his gaze. "You heard me. No matter who much you try or how much strength you have, or even how much these curses are killing me, you won't win. My strength isn't based on my magic. It's based on my connections with my comrades! When I fall they will always be there to bring me back up! When I cry they cry with me and fight with me until the very end! No matter what you say or what you even do to me Sterling, I WON'T LOSE THIS BATTLE! FOR THE SAKE OF FAIRY TAIL AND ARIA! YOU WON'T WIN!"

A power inside of me exploded sending me storming into the air while griping and dragging Sterling along with me. The sky grew darker than before and the clouds started to make a tunnel with it spinning spiral. I entered the spiral of clouds making lightning and thunder mix with it. My sword was in my right hand again with it attracting the lightning and making it spark with power. I threw Sterling up into the air with him spinning around in circles without any power to control his wings. I caught up with Sterling and slashed my blade into his shoulder and chest. Sterling shouted with the pain growing even worse.

"IF THIS DOESN'T PROVE MY POWER, THEN THIS WILL!" My hands grabbed ahold of his throat and shot him back down to the surface of Earth. He flew into the fields at sound speed and skidded into the ground leaving a mark into the field. I landed with my wings spread out and strolled over to the disfigured body in front of me. Sterling lost his helmet while falling back down. He had hazelnut hair that was put up into a short pony tail with olive-toned skin. His eyes were a dark brown shade that hide many secrets. And I have to admit, he also had a nice jaw-line. What amazed me most was a scar that went from his nose down to his cheek. I made my sword disappear and sat next to him. "What is the power you speak of? Torture? Death?" He spat while failing to get back up.

I shook my head and took a hold of his hand. "My power is to show mercy and forgiveness." Sterling slightly gasped and stiffen from my soft touch. "Sterling, even though you won't admit it, you're afraid of war and wish to not be apart of it. You don't need to be the warrior now, but to just be a regular man that you've never been able to be. Let the tears fall that you have held in for so long and hid as well." I whispered before giving him a warm hug.

Sterling was like a statue that wouldn't move, but eventually gave me a hug back. I could feel his tears falling down into my shoulder and his quiet sobs in the crook of my neck. "What have you done to me, Light Goddess?" He cried while tightening his grip. I caressed his hair and patted his head. "I showed you the way to feel Sterling. Even if you were made to fight, every person should have the right to feel. Not to just kill." I concluded and placed a small kiss on his forehead.

Sterling was now sobbing for all to hear and didn't realize that it was now heavily raining on us. In the distance I could hear shouts calling for me, but my mind grew hazy with the taste of blood in my mouth again. My lungs felt like they were drowning and my head was exploding into bits. "Sterling?" I began while seeing black spots in my vision. "Yes my Light Goddess?" He asked to me. "Please, join us. And let me be your leader." My body went limp and my head fell off his shoulder. Sterling laid me back down on the grass. "You have always been my leader, Lady Lucy." Sterling bowed his head in respect. I smiled weakly and closed my eyes with the tears of blood trailing down my face.

"Thank you..." I said softly and fell into the darkness.
