~•~•~•~••~~•Natsu's dream~•~•~•~•~•~

(Natsu's P.O.V)

The atmosphere was empty. The only thing that I could actually see was the color black. This dark abyss I was in felt eternal and lonely, but someone was here.

In the distance I saw a yellow bright light. The light gave a warm comfy feeling making me float to it. The closer I went to it, the more I could hear a girl's giggle. The giggle reminds me of Lucy. "Natsu..."

Am I actually hearing Lucy now?!

"Natsu...I have a question." The light she was giving off grew brighter around the abyss letting it become warmer. "Yea Luce?" It felt like I was talking to the air making me know that she wasn't really here.

"What would you do, if I killed someone?"

My heart stopped beating from Lucy's question. "What do you mean Lucy?" The once warm yellow light became a cold Crimson dark red. The abyss was painted with red knowing that it was blood. Me, being Natsu was just worried about Luce.

"LUCY! WHERE ARE YOU?!" I was no longer floating in the air. I meet the ground that was slippery from the liquid making hard to run or even walk. A menacing giggle erupted. The source of the giggle was behind me bringing chills up to my back. "Naaaaatsu~... Erza and Gray don't look so well..." It took all of my courage to turn my body around. The hideous sight actually made me scream bloody murder.

Literally...

Lucy was holding a knife that was layered with blood stabbing Gray in the chest continuously. Erza was next to him battered as much as Gray was but with her body split in half. "L-L-Lucy...w-why.." Lucy stopped stabbing Gray. She turned the knife making a agonizing sound from the knife to Gray's flesh and pulling it out, brining bits of Gray's insides with it.

Lucy brought her head up to make it seen. Her once lively, hazel eyes were now a demonic black and the clear snowy skin was covered in dark veins. "This is my true fate Natsu...Fairy Tail will be drowned in their own blood when it's time." Lucy stood up from her keeling position and ever so slowly walked to me. Tears pricked in my eyes.

"No...Luce..." This can't be Lucy...my partner...my friend...my family...

"It's best to close your eyes Natsu... I'll try to make it painful as possible!" Lucy jumped with the knife in the air pulling it down to my chest. A tear escaped my eye. I felt the knife enter into my chest and meeting my heart. The pain was there for a split second before my vision was left with Lucy staring into my eyes. "Natsu..."

My attention was caught by her voice. It was now fragile and quiet, but her expression was like a maniacs. "I'm so sorry..." I saw tears streaming down Lucy's eyes falling down from her face. What is going on? She killed me without hesitation and now she's sorry? "When the time comes Natsu...don't hesitate to kill me." Her message made me forget the pain for a moment. When the time comes...I have to kill her?!

Without realizing, I saw the knife come down again to my neck. My mouth made a gurgling sound from my blood coming out of my mouth. My vision darkened with the sound of Lucy laughing at my pain and death.

(Still Natsu...)

I stood into a sitting position the second I woke up gasping for air. The rays of the sun entered the room from the French doors helping the room being brighter.
Minutes later after breathing fresh air I looked over to the other side of the bed to see Lucy.

Only she was still sleeping.

"Luce..." I turned to her and picked her up upper body by her shoulders. Her head tipped back with her still sleeping. My nightmare was the last thing I'm my mind. "LUCY!!!" I ran out of the room leaving my vest to go find my friends to get Wendy and Adroath.

The Grand Hall

The Grand Hall was in view after I ran looking for it. My second day here and there is something going on already.
I kicked the doors open to meet my comrades and Adroath eating sandwiches and looks to be talking to one another.

"Adroath...Wendy...It's Lucy." I bent over putting my hands on my knees to stand straight so I won't pass out from the long run. Erza didn't seem to notice my exhaustion. "We already explained everything you and Teral told us. We were soon going to leave to go meet you guys, but it seems that you're already here. Is Lucy awake yet?" I finally stood straight and shook my head. "No. That's why I came here. Lucy hasn't waken up and she was still in the same position she was in last night. I'm worried that she hasn't woken up at all!" I strode over to the table seeing Teral and the others look down at their plates.

"May I see Miss Lucy now. I know we planned later today but I know that Natsu Dragneel would like for us to find the problem this instant. We can finish lunch later." Adroath stood from his chair and began walking to the door without argument from the others. Teral went to Erza while Happy came to me. "We checked on you and Lu-shee before we left. It seemed that you were the one having the nightmare this time Nat-zu. Care to talk about it?" I put Happy on my shoulder. "We can talk about that later. Right now we need to help Luce." Happy nodded and sat silent while we quietly walked back to our rented house.

Not long after we were inside waiting for Adroath and Teral to be finished with Lucy in her room. Wendy sobbed with grief. "I could've sworn that I didn't feel anything wrong with Lucy-San! In fact it was like she wasn't even there!" Carla rest her paws on Wendy's arms. "Don't worry child. This can just be a misunderstanding from her condition. Lucy can just be sleeping or catching up from her lack of strength." Carla put up a fake smile to cheer up Wendy which helped very little. Erza and Gray glanced to the door waiting for something to happen while I was thinking about my nightmare.

'When the time comes...I have to kill Luce?! I'll never let that happen! She's my best friend..."

"NO! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" Teral's shrieking voice broke the quiet atmosphere leaving fear in everyone's  eyes. I was the first one to react and ran into the room with a crying Teral and shocked expression Adroath. "What's going on!" Erza barked to the two. "Please Adroath... How can this have happened to Lucy-nee? She was only watching the dance..." Teral flew to Lucy and quietly sobbed into her chest.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING TO LUCY-SAN!" Wendy yelled letting the tears flow down her cheeks. Adroath's face was grim and stern. "Miss Lucy is...elsewhere." The air was thick and was very hard to breath in from hearing his reply. "Adroath...are you saying Lucy is-"

"No, no Miss Erza! Lucy isn't dead or dying! Do not worry about that..." The stress in the room left leaving us scared. "However...I'm not saying that she'll wake up. In fact, she may never wake up again."

Okay, scratch that. The stress is back.

"What do you mean Adroath?" Gray questioned with worried eyes. Adroath sighed and sat down on the bed. "It's very hard to explain, but it doesn't seem I have a choice..." Adroath cleared his throat and began his speech.
"Miss Lucy is in a state that none of us can help her out of. Lucy's spiritual body is somewhere else that doesn't have her physical body. Her spirit is wandering in this realm or in another realm which is very dangerous for the spirit. If Lucy keeps wandering, then she will become lost and to never find her way back to existences. Her physical is nothing but a 'shell'...until then when we can find her spirit, then she will be in this sleeping state for who knows how long...and to never wake up again..."

Silence filled the room.

Complete...horrible...silence. A child's cry filled it the next moment with Wendy wailing on the ground with a crying Happy and shocked Carla. Gray's body was unmovable like a stone statue to even move or blink. Erza's fist clenched in utter defeat knowing nothing can help Lucy. Teral was still sobbing in Lucy's chest.

Me...I've had it up to here!

"NO!!! I WILL SAVE LUCE!" I prounced on the bed, picked Lucy's shoulders up and began shaking her rapidly. "COME ON LUCE!!! WAKE UP DAMMIT WAKE UP!"
Hands grabbed me and pulled me away from Lucy. I fought back from the restraints to get back to Luce.

"Stop it Natsu! We'll find a way to help Lucy, but you shaking her shoulders off and yelling in her face won't help us!" Erza spoke to calm me down. "Erza's right Natsu! So you need to stop acting stupid and calm yourself!" Gray spoke this time.

"IF I PUT SOME SENSE INTO HER, THEN SHE'LL WAKE UP! LUCE!!!"

My body was forcefully turned to meet a fist in my gut. "I'm sorry Natsu...but this is for the best for now..." Erza was the one who punched me. Everything became dark with me passing out. "Lu..ce..." The girl I swore I would protect, may never be able to wake up...
