(Wow I should be asleep right now, but I'm to excited to wait to do the third chapter. Anywho, please enjoy A Little Delayed with poor Natsu having horrible motion sickness!)

(Normal P.O.V)

"BLURRGHH!!!" Happy sighed at the pitiful sight. "There goes Nat-zu again." Natsu was in Lucy's lap who was reading a book she borrowed at the library. The mission was a three day trip on train, everyone but Natsu seemed to not mind. The only people who weren't asleep were Lucy, Happy and Natsu while everyone else rested their eyes.

"Lu-shee! You haven't taken your eyes off that book ever since the train started! Aren't you going to get a headache?" Happy was hoping she would put the book down to get rest like everyone else was getting, he was tired himself. "I'm learning a lot about their history, Happy. I know you're tired as well so please, get some rest. I'll wake you up when the train stops." Lucy replied without taking her eyes off the book.

Happy looked down in his seat. "Are you sure Lu-shee?" Lucy took her eyes off the book for a moment to smile at the little exceed. "I'm positive Happy!" Happy gladly took her offer. "Alright then. Wake me up in a bit Lu-shee!" Happy put his back on the seat and fell into his dreams. Natsu kept moaning from his motion sickness.

"Natsu...get some sleep." Natsu looked up at Lucy meeting with her chocolate brown eyes. "Ah...I'll....try." Natsu closed his eyes and felt Lucy's hand caressing his scalp sending him to sleep. For once, Natsu found it easy to fall asleep on a moving vehicle. He felt himself slipping away with the smell of vanilla and strawberries in his senses.

(Lucy's P.O.V) FINALLY!!!

I eventually put Natsu to sleep without Erza having to hit him in the gut. I'm actually tired myself, but the nightmare from last night was the only thing keeping me awake.

I lied about reading the history of Aria to Happy, but I do have books about Aria so it's a 'partial' lie. What I'm actually reading is a book about curses and the affects of curses. So far nothing I've read doesn't match what I've been through, and to be honest, I think I'm actually going insane at this point. I continued reading until the train came to a sudden stop. The passengers and my friends didn't even stir from it. "Guys?" No one moved.

I gently laid Natsu's head out of my lap to get up. The lights suddenly flickered off. Alright someone not welcoming is on the train. I walked over to Erza to wake her up. "Erza? Wake up." No reply or stirring from her. "They're not going to wake up." A cold, dark voice was right next to my ear. This person was so close I could feel their breath.

But the breath was icy cold.

I turned to see if anyone was there. When I quickly spun around, I saw a silhouette of a shadow. Fear struck my heart so fast, I couldn't move or breath. The shadow appeared in front of me and wrapped it's long, deadly cold fingers around my throat. When the figure touched my skin, my flesh felt like it became ice. "Light Goddess...you will...corrupt..."  I didn't feel any pain, but pressure from the hands were showing me images I never hoped to see or see again. All of my fears were shown right before my eyes. From not opening to my father, to being a burden to Fairy Tail and Team Natsu. Every fear and regret was shown before me.

When it finally let go of my neck, all my strength and magic vanished. My knees became jelly and I knew I was falling. Soon I will fall unconscious into my nightmare I was praying to not return to. Before my eyes closed the figure leaned into my face whispering to me. "You should leave your friends behind Light Goddess, or their death will be by your own hands..."

The shadow disappeared leaving me and an unmoving train with unguarded passengers. It's words to me for some reason, didn't sound like it was lying...

(Lucy's P.O.V)

I woke up in someone's lap. My vision was blurry and my body was shut down making me unable to move. It felt like I just risen from the dead. "ucy...Lu-....can you he-..us?.."

Wow. Even my hearing is horrible. "Lucy-San! She's still-..." Okay getting better! "What happened?! Why isn't the train moving?" YES! Now I can hear...but I still can't speak or move... At least I know the people talking are Wendy, Erza and Gray. "Where is Flame Head? It's almost been half an hour!"

Half an hour? How long was I out? "It doesn't matter Gray. Wendy did you stop her from bleeding?" Bleeding! Oh no...my nightmare. It happened again. The sound of a door echoed the cart making everyone silent. A moment later the sound of a wall was being beaten by a punch.

Erza's voice spoke "Natsu...are the other passengers..." Natsu didn't say a word. What happened to the passengers? "It's the same. Even the conductors had the same fate. Whoever did this is going to regret living..." Natsu's voice sounds so angry and vicious. "Especially what they did to Lucy!" Another punch was heard. I need to open my eyes and tell them what happened! Come on Lucy!!!

My eyes slowly drifted open revealing the lights back on and the smell of blood that I'm already used to smelling. My head was in Erza's lap on the floor with Carla and Happy next to Wendy putting bandages on my left arm. I remember what happened, the same figure but with spikes on its back cut my arm, nearly cutting it in half.

"Guys..." My voice was hoarse and raspy, in need of water. Heads shot in my direction yelling my name and pouncing on me for a hug "Are you alright? What happened to you? Did you see what happened on the train? Are you in pain Luce? Do you need to rest?" More questions were shot at me making my headache worsen. I put my head up to signal them to be quiet.

It was my turn for questions. "What did you guys mean about the passengers? And why do I smell blood?" Everyone became silent, moments later tears formed in Wendy's eyes while Gray and Erza's head fell to the floor with sad eyes. Happy and Carla went to Wendy to comfort her, but Natsu's anger flared in his eyes. "They were killed! It looked like a creature slaughtered them for the fun of it! We woke up and saw you on the floor in a puddle of blood screaming your head off!" Natsu was back to the wall and put another dented punch with all his might, leaving a crater. "We thought you were dying Lucy..." Erza's voice trailed off at Wendy's loud sob. I didn't want to see my friends sad and worried over me and these poor people. "I know what it was. And to start off it wasn't human or a creature. It was more like...a monster." My pupils contracted at the image of the shadow-figure. Everyone sat down next to me comforting me and Wendy. " I'm fine guys I'm just-"

"You're not fine Luce!" Natsu yelled stopping me from talking. "We saw you on the floor with blood on you and passengers killed while none of us had a scratch on us! Did you fight that thing or-" I stopped him by jumping to my feet and landed on him to hug him. Natsu stiffened at my touch by reacted by hugging me back. "I didn't see it coming Natsu...I didn't even know it killed those people...but it showed me horrible things that I wish not to talk about. And this-" I picked up my left bandaged arm. "Was not its doing. That is another story to tell." I backed away and returned to my sitting area with my knees in my chest this time. Everyone had a smirk on their face which I decided to ignore. "But in all honesty I am fine, shaken, but fine." They all nodded their head. Wendy gasped when she turned towards me. "Lucy-San, your neck!" Wendy pointed at my neck with horror.

"Wha-" I picked my hand up to feel my skin cold when I touched it. I gasped at the jolt of pain and quickly put my hand down. "Did it hurt when you touched it?" I nodded feeling the pain growing worse. Wendy rushed to my side and picked up her hands to heal me. I put my hands up to stop her. "Lucy-San? I need to heal your-" I shook my head. "I know you're already exhausted from healing me earlier, plus I don't think magic is going to help me..." It's now starting to hurt to even speak.

"Did the monster grab your neck?" Gray curiously asked trying to take his eyes of my neck. "It did, but I didn't feel any pain..." I put my collar up hoping to hide my neck. Natsu scooted over to me unraveling his scarf. "W-what are you doing Natsu?" Natsu didn't speak, but just started to put his scarf gently on me. The scarf was warm and and welcoming to my cold, raw throat.

"See? Now you don't have to worry about hiding it! Plus I think that scarf adds a nice tough look!" Natsu grinned with his eyes closed. I blushed madly. "Thank you, Natsu..."
