How It Should Have Happened Part 22

In the morning, the girls started to get ready for school. All of them had red eyes and their hair looked a mess. They were worried about Lincoln and all of them started to curse Lynn. Lynn. When they saw her name it leaves a dirty taste in their mouths. They wanted to get Lincoln and Lily back, but Lynn just had to hit Lincoln with a bat. Needless to say, they hated her. Their parents on the other hand were in turmoil. Their son..Their only son is currently in the hospital due to Lynn's actions. The only question going through their heads was...Why? Why did she feel like punishing Lincoln for things that she caused herself? They knew that she was stubborn, but almost killing someone due to your misguided beliefs that he caused the division between yourself and your family is crazy.

When the girls went to school, they walked in looking dejected. All of their hard work could've gone down the drain due to her actions and most felt like they never got a change to apologize to Lincoln because of her.

"Hey Leni..I heard what happened, How are you holding up?" One of Leni's friends said.

"Not too well. We all tried to make up with Lincoln, but she still thinks that this is all his fault when it's really her own." Leni Said.

"Don't worry Leni. I'm sure your family will get through this. Just stay positive and things may work out." Another one fo Leni's friends said.

"Thanks guys." Leni Said. She felt a little bit better, but she was still worried about Lincoln. Meanwhile the other girls silently went to class and slowly trudged through the day until it was lunch time.

"Hey Luan. Can I sit here?" Maggie Asked. Maggie was one of Luan's friends who immediately ignorned Luan when she heard what she did to Lincoln. However she started to talk to Luan again once she saw her apologize for what she did.

"Yeah. I guess you heard about what happened yesterday day." Luan Said.

"Yeah...How are you feeling?" Maggie Asked.

"That Lynn ruined our chance to come together as a family. However that's nothing compared to what happened a couple of days ago when she came home after being expelled." Luan Said.

"What happened?" Maggie Asked.

"My sister said that she wished Lincoln wasn't even born and that she didn't see him as her brother anymore. The kicker is that Mom and Dad threatened to send her to boarding school after hearing her say that." Luan Said.

"Wow. I guess she never listened to them and did this out of spite." Maggie Said.

"Yeah..I just don't know what to do. I apologized to Lincoln and he forgave me however I still want to prove myself worthy of his apology." Luan Said.

"Luan...How about giving him a gift that shows that you really feel sorry about what happened? That way you prove yourself to Lincoln." Maggie Said. After that, the lunch bell rang and everyone went to class.

After school, the small group went home and started doing their homework. After they finish, they each went to their rooms and waited for their parents to get home. Lucy still hasn't entered the ro that she shares with Lynn since it reminds her of her sporty sister. The sister who turned out to be a monster in disguise. A monster that she can't see as her sister anymore.

Eventually the parents came home and started working on dinner. When dinner was ready, All of the Girls came down slowly.

"How was your day girls?" Rita Asked.

"We survived it. The good thing is that the other students in our schools no longer hate us. Instead they pity us for having a monster of a sister who would beat down her only brother due to her twisted beliefs." Lori Said.

"That's good..I guess. Sigh...Girls, We have to talk about what happened." Lynn Sr. Said.

"We should have kept a closer eye on her. She may have ruined our chances of having Lincoln and Lily back in the family." Lucy Said.

"It wasn't anyone's fault, but her's. She ignored Mom and Dad's warning and now could be facing 60 days in jail if they decided to charge her as an adult." Lori Said.

"I hope Lincoln's okay. I really want to apologize to him. If he..he dies then how can I redeem myself to him." Luna Said.

"Only three of us have apologized and this incident stopped us from saying our apologies." Lisa Said.

"I just hope that this would be a wake up call for Lynn however I know that she's just going to blame this on Lincoln. Ever since that game a couple of weeks back, she keeps saying everything is his fault." Leni Said.

"I know it's hard, but we're still a family. Besides we still have to decide the next course of action with Lynn. After that, we can visit Lincoln and bring him some gifts." Rita Said. The girls just nodded and slowly started to pick up their plates while heading to bed. Meanwhile the parents looked at each other and headed to their room for a private talk.

"What should we do Lynn?" Rita Asked.

"I'm thinking that she'll spend 6 months in juvie and after that's over then we'll send her to boarding school." Lynn Sr. Said.

"Why couldn't she try to apologize to Lincoln like the other girls? Why has one of my babies start becoming a stubborn girl who thinks that luck helps her in sports?" Rita Said.

"It's not our fault Rita, it's the sports. If we never allowed her to play sports then maybe she'll still be with us and our family will be whole again. However I doubt that will happen know." Lynn Sr. Said.

"That's right. The girls will never look at her like a sibling again for what she did. Besides she's stopping us from getting Lincoln and Lily back. I think we may have to talk to Dad again to get his opinion on the punishment and prove that we're trying to change." Rita Said.

Lynn just nodded and slowly climbed into bed. This was the worst feeling that he's ever felt. One of his children is in the hosipital while another is going to jail. What else could go wrong?

Author Notes:

How was the chapter?

What should the punishment be:

6 months in juvie and then being sent to boarding school?

Or

6 months in juvie and then being sent to military school?

See you later 👋
