Fuck me sideways this is actually the WORST AND MOST CLICHE thing you can do in a fic. Especially when it doesn't fit. For example: Making John, Jade, Jane, Jake, Nepeta, Aradia, Feferi, Tavros, etc. a kidnapper.
That shit needs to stop.
You cannot take the nicest, most kindhearted character and make them a kidnapper. You want to know a few characters that this angle could work for?
•Gamzee
•Eridan
•Dirk/Brobot/AR (only if used correctly)
•Kanaya (only if using it with the angle of her desperately needing blood and losing control of her self restraint. I can appreciate that angle)
•Vriska
•Meenah
•Etc.
The one excuse is that it should NEVER (unless used correctly with acceptable characters) be because of two other characters dating. It's cliche and over used. If you're going to use this angle for a fic, don't be predictable. You have to do it right or else it just seems sloppy. If it wasn't so repetitive, it would be acceptable to break a few of these rules, but it is repetitive, so don't do it.
