A/N: Hello! I've taken the liberty of rewriting the changeling episode and make some original changes. If you hadn't got the chance the chance to read the new version of the nirvana arc, I recommend you to read it.

As I had mentioned before, I killed a character (no spoilers), and replaced him with a new character. Deleted some not so needed scenes if you already seen the anime, so no point in writing the entire arc.

Lucy, Erza, Wendy, and Carla all sat at a table, talking amongst themselves, enjoying their time together as a new family after a terrifying fight.

The first couple days after arriving from the alliance mission was hectic. The couple then announced that they had decided to adopt Wendy, their new daughter, and as a new member of Fairy Tail. It was predicted that a lot of members would be shocked about the sudden adoption, but there might be a few members who would be interested in learning more about Wendy. And the only way to get to know someone was to throw an infamous Fairy Tail party, although Master Makarov had to shimmer it to a PG party because Erza was too paranoid for Wendy's sake.

Erza and Lucy sat together side by side at a table, overlooking their new daughter as she sat on the other side of the table with Carla. The redhead hummed to herself as she snaked her arms around the blonde's waist and felt content to feel her warmth on her own skin.

Carla, the grumpy white kitty, frowned with dissatisfaction as she glared at the redhead in front of her. There's something about the girl that makes her uncomfortable. She's too rough around the edge. She seems irresponsible and useless, other than the fact that she knows how to hold a sword and swing it.

As most people would say, first impressions are important. And Carla's first impression on Erza was that of a wild boar that only knows how to slash and run straight into a battle. Lucy, on the other hand, was very very.... very opposite of Erza. Nothing else needs to be said about the young girl, since it's very obvious that she can be trusted with Wendy's life.

But seeing Erza and Lucy flirting in front of her made her question her own sanity. She doesn't understand what Lucy sees in her and why. Exactly how did the brute win the heart of a pure celestial mage? Did she poison Lucy? Threatened her? Lied? This doesn't make any sense.

"They could at least flirt elsewhere. This is making my eyes bleed." Carla muttered, turning her head to the side.

Wendy turned to her cat as she heard what Carla said, and turned to what she was referring to. She turned to see her newly acquired parents flirting with each other, as if there was nothing else in the world to bother them, or to separate them.

"But they are cute together. Wouldn't you agree?" Wendy inquired, turning back at Carla with a smile.

Carla made a hmph sound and turned to the side in a tsundere manner, refusing to acknowledge the fact that Erza, the brute, will be the parental figure in Wendys life.

Feeling that the little girl felt a little bit more comfortable, Lucy decided to ask her a question to see how shes faring. "How are you liking the guild?"

"Its certainly livelier than the guild I used to be in. But everyone is very nice, though Im still getting used to how friendly they all are."

"Yeah, have they ever learned personal space?" Carla said with a dead panned look, the remark targeted solely at the fire breathing mage.

Lucy chuckled, knowing what the cat meant, and recalled the time when she first arrived at the guild. "It took me some time to get used to the guild. But trust me, youll love it here."

"Really? What was it like the first time you came here?" Wendy wondered, wanting to know more about the women that took her in.

Lucy took a moment to recall those moments of chaos and serenity. It was both painful and precious ever since Lucy joined the guild. "All I can tell you is that the guild accepted my past and took me in as one of their own."

"Really?" Though her response didnt really answer what Wendy wanted to know, she wont push it any further, out of respect for the older women. "What about you?" She asked the redhead woman, shifting her attention to Erza.

Erza was caught off guard when Wendy had asked her. She didnt think that she would want to know about her past.

She instinctively tightened her grip around Lucys waist, and the blonde immediately spoke for her, Her past is similar to mine...in a way." Lucy tried to explain.

"Let's not talk about this right now." Erza quickly spoke, not wanting to talk about it.

Carla huffed, as if she didnt care. (tsundere little kitty, isnt she?)

"Hey guys!" A loud obnoxious familiar voice suddenly yelled from behind.

Erza internally sighed at the interruption and turned her head to see a grinning idiot holding a flyer. The famous c0*kblocker who always crashes the moment or ruins it. She refrained herself from punching the pink haired mage in the face. Mostly because her arms were still around Lucys waist, and she didnt want to leave that warmth.

"What do you need Natsu?" Lucy asked, as she held onto Erzas hands, sensing that something bad was going to happen if she didnt. And Carla knew it. In her eyes, it was a sight of Lucy holding down a vicious boar from running amok.

Natsu remained oblivious to the murderous aura from a redhead mage and turned to Lucy with a piece of paper in his hand. "I found a cool job." He handed the flyer to Lucy, who gladly took and scanned the paper.

"This is pretty interesting." Lucy commented as she finished reading the contents.

"What is it?" Wendy asked, curious to know.

"It wants you to decipher the meaning of this writing for 500,000 jewels." Erza said as she read the flyer from Lucy's shoulder.

Lucy placed it on the table and Erza, Wendy, Carla, and Happy, and Natsu crowded around it, curious to know more about the odd job.

"The text looks ancient." Erza commented, deep in though.

"The thinking part isnt your area of expertise. It would be better if someone else did it." Carla muttered at the knight mage.

"Hah?" Erza glared at the white cat.

"What's sup?" Gray said, approaching the crowded table of mages. Lucy silently thanks that he interrupted the mood.

"There's a weird flyer." Wendy answered, looking at the piece paper, then at Gray.

"Juvia may be able to decipher it for Lucy-sama." Juvia said, popping out of nowhere out of thin air.

Erza glared at the rain mage. "I doubt your water brain is able to decipher it."

"What was that!?" Juvia glared back.

Mira was delivering booze to her customers when she noticed a commotion at one table. "What's all this commotion? Why didn't you invite me?" She faked a tear as she approached them with curiosity.

"We have a mysterious flyer that needs deciphering for 500,000 jewels." Lucy said.

"Why is everybody crowding us?" Erza grumbled, tightening her hold on Lucy so she won't leave.

"Oi! Mira! Give me some more booze!" Cana shouted from afar and stumbled toward Mira (for the sake of the booze!).

Mira turned to the drunk girl with a stern look. "You had enough for today, Cana."

Cana frowned when Mira refused to give her one, so she grinned as she swiped one from Miras tray, and started chugging it down. Mira only sighed.

"Maybe Levy can decipher it. She is an intelligent girl. She should be able to understand it." Lucy said as she continued to try and read the flyer.

"Levy? She might work." Erza agreed.

Lucy attempted to get off so she could find Levy, but Erza kept a firm grip on her, not wanting to move. "Erza, can you let me go?"

"No."

"Erza." Lucy said with a sterner tone.

"No."

The younger girl only sighed. So, she just scanned the room until she could find the bookworm. It didnt take her long to find her, all she needed to look for was a girl hunched over a table, nose deep in her books. Only two tables away. "Levy!" Lucy called out.

When she heard her name, Levy looked up in the direction where she heard her name and saw that it was Lucy who called her. Then she noticed that Lucy was sitting in Erzas lap. How adorable! Then she registered that several mages were surrounding the table near the couple, and that Erza didnt look too pleased.

"Yes, Lu-chan?"

"Can you come over here and help us decipher something?"

Levy quickly complied and set down her books and made her way towards the overly crowded table. "What is it, Lu-chan?"

Lucy grabbed the flyer and handed it to Levy for her to read. "Think you can try and decipher it?"

The bookworm grabbed the flyer and read over it. "Decipher it for 500,000 jewels? Let's see here...'ugo deru racsuhi boro kania'...Hmm...looks like an ancient script." She placed it back on the table and tried to think about what she knows about the symbols. "Very old, thats for sure."

The surrounding mages crowded around her, attempting to see what Levy could understand from the bizarre flyer.

Suddenly, a bright mythical light started to shine, emitting from the flyer. It filled the room with colors from the rainbow. The mages present were mystified and stood with admiration with the colors that they perceived.

The light disappeared quickly, leaving no trace of what had happened. Visually though.

"Huh?" One moment, Lucy was staring off into the distance, staring after those magnificent colors, all while she sat on a soft pair of legs. Now her perspective was different. She felt something hard underneath her, and someone was sitting on her.

Lucy blinked again and noticed blonde hair in front of her. As far as she knew, she was the only one that had blonde hair.

She looked down, and noticed not a blonde strand of hair, but a red strand of hair. "Eh?" In a panic, Lucy softly pushed the person sitting on her and stood up to get a better look at herself.

Yep. Lucy is in Erzas body. But how is that possible?

Lucy watched her own body turn around and stared at her with a surprised look. She really found it difficult to look at her body from a different perspective. And she looked fat. She needed to lay off those strawberry cakes.

Lucys body only stared at her and remained silent for a few moments, as if contemplating on what to say. I need a haircut.

"... Erza?"

"...Lucy?"

"Lucy Mama!" Erza (trapped in Lucys body) was then tackled to the ground by a trembling Natsu.

"Oof." Lucy (Erza) fell to the ground with a thud and spotted a frightened fire dragon slayer. This seemed so wrong. What the hell is this?

"Lucy Mama! Why am I in Natsu's body! And why am I spitting fire!?" Natsu cried while vomiting fire. But it was clear who inhabited the mage.

"... Wendy?" Is that you? Lucy asked, quietly snickering at the sight of a scared Natsu.

Natsu (Wendy) looked up and looked at the redhead in confusion, noticing the difference in speech. "Lucy Mama?"

Lucy nodded. "You just tackled Erza whos trapped in my body."

Wendy blinked for a moment before moving to tackle Lucy.

Erza stood back up with a frown. Its clear who is the favorite in this relationship. "Hmph. So you prefer Lucy over me? That makes me cry."

Lucy nervously chuckled, not knowing why this is happening. She could only hope that this isnt permanent. "Ah...We need to do something about this."

Mira then walked up to them with a scowl and arms crossed. "Now, let me guess. Lucy and Erza had switched places."

Lucy turned to Mira, recognizing the tone of voice and the scowl. "Carla

"You sound like the old Mira. But less violent." Erza mumbled.

"Lucy-sama!" Gray cooed as he tried to get closer to Lucy (Erza), and attempted to wrap his arms around her.

Erza was quick to punch Gray in the face, and sent him flying towards the other side of the room. Dont you even dare. She scowled with an evil look.

Mira (Carla) only scoffed at the scene.

Lucy scanned the room and spotted a happy flying Carla who was flying in circles. "Who knew flying as a cat was as fun as flying as a demon."

It didnt take much to figure that Mira was in Carlas petite body. Didnt know Carla could even smile like that.

Lucy sighed and continued to look around, looking for any other bizarre body switch-a-roos. Then she spotted Cana on the ground, looking pretty miserable. Canas never miserable with a hangover. So whos in her body?

Cana struggled to get up and massaged her neck. "Yeah Im never going to go overboard. Wait. Why do I have a hangover?" She frowned and looked around, until she laid eyes on the body of Levy.

"Eh? Im not a ghost, right? I didnt mean to go to the light so soon!"

Yeah this is Levy in Canas body, Lucy concluded.

"Ah shut up! The body of Levy stood up with a not so pleased look. Why the hell am I sober!?" Then her eyes met the body of Cana. "I'm going crazy am I? Never hallucinated another me before, this is a first."

"T-This is not a hallucination! We somehow switched bodies!" Cana (Levy) cried.

Levy (Cana) stood up and scanned the body of Cana. "I need to tan my legs and stomach. They're looking a little pale. "

"Take this more seriously!" Cana (Levy cried again, more worried about whats going to happen.

Then Levy (Cana) grabbed Canas (Levy) face. "Is that a pimple!?"

"How is a pimple more important than the fact that were not in our own bodies? How are you not panicking!?"

Levy (Cana) only shrugged. "Not really worried about it."

"Ugh!"

Lucy sighed at their rambling.

"Why am I looking at myself!? I feel weird!" Wendy ran up to the body of Natsu, which made it clear that both Wendy and Natsu had switched bodies. "Who's in there?!"

"W-Wendy."

Wendy (Natsu) froze. After a split second, he turned to Erza (Lucy) with a frightened look. "Erza! Fix this! I want my body back!"

"If you promise to calm down and not injure the body of Wendy, then we'll figure something out." Lucy (Erza) said.

"Shut up Lucy! I was talking to Erza! This is an emergency! I need my body back!"

"Ah? Dont you dare talk like that." Lucy (Erza) glared as she stared daggers at Natsu.

Erza (Lucy) was getting a headache from this. "Natsu, shut up."

"O-Of course!"

Wow. Erza really does make Natsu pee his pants and cower with his legs between his legs. "First of all, Erza and I switched bodies."

"Oh, then you shouldve told me that sooner!"

"Men." Carla mumbled.

Erza (Lucy) sighed again. "Where's Levy? Maybe she knows something about this."

"LEVY!" Wendy (Natsu) screamed, looking for the mage.

"Shut up!" Cana (Levy) yelled when she heard her name being called. "My head hurts. Not no loud! My head is spinning. Why do I see a pink elephant?"

Wendy (Natsu) looked at Cana (Levy) confusingly before turning towards Levy (Cana).

Levy (Cana) was attempting to chug down a barrel of booze. But she collapsed quickly due to the quick effect of getting drunk. "Ugh. Levy you need to drink more often."

"And you need to drink less." Cana (Levy) mumbled.

On the sidelines, Lucy (Erza) was trying to keep a wild Gray at bay. All of the sudden, he became obsessive and had stalker behaviors. Its obvious that only one mage could exhibit that kind of behavior.

"Uh.." Juvia muttered as she sat still at a nearby table. Well this is interesting. "Not every day you can have some sort of dirt on Natsu."

Juvia (obviously Gray) sat still, and watched the scene, enjoying the chaos before him. Although he hated the fact that he found himself in Juvias body. Ugh.

From his perspective, Natsu clung onto Erza, Lucy arguing with Mira, Levy and Cana arguing, and Carla acting like a maniac. Not to mention that Grays own body was trying to lay some moves on Lucy, who looked angry and wanted to murder someone. One could only imagine how enraged Erza would be if she saw this.

Natsu (Wendy) pulled away and pulled Erzas (Lucy) attention to her. "How can we return to our bodies?"

"Um." Erza (Lucy) muttered while watching the scene before her before turning to the mage that clung onto her. "I dont know."

She turned back to Levy, whos in Canas body. "Levy!"

Cana (Levy) turned toward the source of her name. "Stop yelling!"

Erza (Lucy) sighed and sauntered toward the woman. "You're the one that activated the spell by saying it out loud. Can you find out how to reverse this?"

Cana (Levy) groaned. "I cant even think with the terrible headache. I don't even know my own birthday."

"But-"

"Its a changeling spell."

Erza (Lucy) turned around to see Master Makarov. "What?"

"Its an ancient spell that is most likely responsible for your current situation."

"Hopefully you know how to lift the spell?"

Makarov looked at Erza (Lucy) with a knowingly smirk. "Hmm I believed it slipped my mind. However, I do know one thing,"

Erza (Lucy), Natsu (Wendy), and Mira (Carla) focused on what Makarov was about to say. The other mages were too busy with their unique problems to even register that Makarov appeared. "If the changeling spell isn't undone within 30, you won't ever go back to your original bodies." He then walked off into his office without another word, as if it didn't even concern him.

Of course.

What did Lucy expect from this chaos? Judging from his tone, he knows exactly what this spell is, and how long the effect is. Otherwise he would be concerned.

"Is he for real?" Mira (Carla) exclaimed. "I cannot picture Wendy as Natsu, or Lucy in Erzas body. Erza's too much of a brute to be nice."

"Hey!" Lucy (Erza) objected when she heard what the other person (damned cat) said.

"I cannot fathom what could happen to Lucy's body if Erza goes all crazy and gets perverted."

Natsu (Wendy) sniffed as flames drooled out of his (her) mouth. "This is too much for me."

Panicking wont even help out in this situation. Erza (Lucy) needed to be calm and go at this in a calm fashion. She scanned her surroundings and noted everything that happened. Of course, it's only chaos that happened. Wendy (Natsu) arguing with Gray (Juvia) about some nonsense, Gray (Juvia) grew pissed with Wendy (Natsu) getting in her way, arguing about something stupid. Cana (Levy) laid on the ground with a miserable expression. Levy (Cana) attempted to drink another barrel of booze but looked like she was about to pass out. Carla (Mira) flew around in circles, and played pranks on the other mages; it wasn't very often that Mira got to switch bodies, why not make the best of it and prank someone hehe? Mira (Carla) only looked pissed while staring at Lucy (Erza), making sure that Erza doesnt do anything stupid.

Lucy only sighed in exasperation. Just 15 more minutes of this nonsense. And hopefully everything will go back to normal.

...

At the 30-minute mark, everyone suddenly switched back to their bodies. Guess Lucy learned that Master Makarov was just being a sadistic tease.

Natsu found himself clinging onto a piece of metal. Metal that is so scarily familiar. Then he remembered. It was Erza's. He jumped away and saw the murderous looks from the redhead. In an attempt to save his life, he ran out of the guild to save his own skin (scales).

Cana was on the ground, curiously confused. She wanted to keep on enjoying the sensation of being drunk. Oh well. She sat up and grabbed another barrel behind the counter and started chugging it down.

Mira blinked as she was no longer in her body. She shrugged it off and turned to serving booze as if nothing happened. She hadn't had this much fun since she tormented Erza when they were little. Ah the good old times eh?

Carla fell to the ground with a soft thump and sent an angry look at the barmaid for what she did to her body. Of course, Mira remains oblivious as ever.

Juvia....Juvia was the most unsatisfied and frustrated. She had the chance one in a million and found herself in another body. She was unable to put any moves on Lucy, or plant any kisses, or an innocent hug! And for some reason, she was more aggressive than normal.

Gray found himself in the ceiling, as if he was trying to hide from someone. That damned Juvia!

Erza, feeling much more comfortable in her own body, was dead set giving Gray some well-deserved lesson. Carla had the same thought and her eyes met with Erza's. For the first time since they both met, they stood on equal footing and looked forward to punishing Gray for being a pervert.

Erza's deadly glare met with a ghostly Gray, who still clung onto the ceiling. The hair on the back of his neck tingled and knew that this wont turn out well.

Well shit.

"Wait! It wasnt hi-...." Lucy tried to tell them, but she was too late. Erza equipped herself in her better armor and flew at the scared Gray. Carla flew at him and bit his leg.

The blonde only facepalmed. Why did she even try? Well things are back to normal, so all is fine now.

Right?

Omake 1:

As sad as she was, Juvia enjoyed watching the scene of Erza and Carla beating up Gray for being a pervert. They really are dense,

Juvia clicked her tongue in a dramatic way, "It's what you get, you perverted male. No man shall ever touch my Lucy-sama. It's bad enough that the redhead witch has wormed her way into Lucy-sama's heart. That spot should only belong to Juvia!" She rambled with a cold tone.

Omake 2:

"Gray was innocent. You two shouldn't have jumped into conclusions." Lucy scolded, now that both Erza and Carla calmed down.

They both deflated as they sat in the corner facing the wall. Wendy walked up to them and placed a sign between them that read: I was bad. It was made to make them more humiliated and for them to learn their lesson of not jumping to conclusion. Plus, both Wendy and Lucy found it funny.

Then Wendy walked up to an injured Gray and started to heal his injuries and apologized for both Erzas and Carlas behavior.

Gray made a grunted noise. He turned to Lucy, "Next time, put your pit bull on a leash!"

Wendy snapped and glared at Gray for a moment. Nobody talks to Erza Papa like that!

Secretly, and quickly, Wendy started to heal gray to a point where some of his injuries started to hurt.

When Gray yelped in surprise, he turned to Wendy who had an innocent smile. "This is all I can do. Please do not overexert yourself."

Grays only thought was that Wendys smile was scarier than a raging redhead...
