Chapter 21

A/N: ... Hi! 🤗

It wasn't long till everyone was informed of Makarov's condition, falling ill due to extreme stress. With the help of a nonfriendly (To be determined) doctor, Porlyusica, had eased his conditions, allowing him to pull through. All he needed was rest, and the Fairy Tail members will make sure that their beloved master gets his rest. However concerned they were, they didn't stop bickering outside the the door.

To everyone, Makarov was seen as a second father more than a mere guild master of a infamous guild (though that should've obviously been so fking obvious). Fairy Tail wouldn't be the same without him. Lucy thought of him as a more fatherly figure than her real so-called father. He gave her a second chance, gave her a purpose to keep living, and an opportunity to carve out a new chapter in her life.

Lucy sat at the bar next to a smitten redhead. How had she not realized how adorable Erza was when she was trying to be romantic? It really was adorable.

Erza had her arms wrapped around the blonde's shoulder affectionally and protectively. She was content and was elated with joy. That terrible incident with Laxus was settled, and he was beaten to a bloody pulp (about time🖕🏻). That bastard definitely got what he deserved. Plus, it seems that Lucy finally understood her feelings (sorta, but all in due's time). So all was well, and she couldn't be happier.

The redhead was stuck in her own little world, fantasizing with numerous adventures that would surely happen, and enjoy it with the blonde. Hugs. Cuddles. Kisses. Hugs. Cuddles. Kisses. And repeat for eternity. ❤️💋

While Erza was in cloud 9, the rest of the guild was scattered in the mess hall, celebrating their victory. The Fantasia parade itself had been postponed for the next day to allow the injured members to recover. It would look bad if members would participating in the parade full of bandages. It would be a mummy parade instead of Fantasia parade. Hmm... Mummy parade. Sounds like a good Halloween celebration.

"Lucy-sama! Juvia is glad that you okay!" Juvia exclaimed, suddenly appearing in the guild, and ran toward the young blonde.

Lucy turned and saw the rain girl, and responded with a polite smile. "I'm glad that you are okay as well."

Juvia had hearts in her eyes. "Juvia wants to know if-"

"Better back off." Erza interrupted, not wanting the girl to get any ideas. She made a evil grin and stared at Juvia with a challenging look, daring her to continue. It was a look of 'come if you dare you piece of shit.'

Juvia then glared at Erza with an angry look. Not one to back down from what she wanted, especially if it was a challenge. "Juvia can do whatever she wants."

"Not when Lucy's my girlfriend." Erza countered acted with a wide smirk and held Lucy closer to her. It was a slight bluff on her part since they really hadn't become girlfriends x girlfriends officially, but she would definitely like to eliminate anyone that was slightly interesting in the young adorable, cute, beautiful, dashing girl.

Lucy on the other hand could feel her cheeks get a little warm. She didn't understand why she felt embarrassed. But she was slightly amused with the exchange between the knight and the rain girl.

At the words that had came out of the redhead's mouth, Julia visibly paled for a moment before sending a heated look. "Romantic rival!" The rain girl chanted in a low murderous tone, glaring at Erza with intent to kill.

Erza smirked and internally snickered that she had won. She watched the rain girl leave the building, hopeful that she had given up and won't be coming back. But we all know (the readers of course), know that Juvia is a stubborn mage hehe. She'll definitely be back.

"Lucy, how are you feeling?" Erza asked as she turned back to the blonde, internally gushing at how adorable she is, regardless of the injuries she has presently.

"Feeling better. You?"

"Better now that you're here." Erza inwardly smirked with fireworks exploding in her chest.

Then as if on cue, the entire guild went silent as the front door creeped open. All eyes turned to the source, and the air turned sour with anger and discontent.

It was Laxus.

No one said anything, nor did they do anything. They were too busy glaring at Laxus with disappointment and anger. Probably mentally coming up with secret plans to beat him even more. Maybe unleash thousands of bee stingers!

Seeing him walking into he guild like nothing happened made Erza even more pissed, so pissed she got up from the position she was in (regrettably so). Equipping into her primary go getter armor, she moved and stood in front of the man that disgraced the guild. Her anger stood on the boundary between what he did to Lucy, and what he forced upon her guild. However, her heart constricted so much that Erza wanted payback for what he did to Lucy.

Lucy stood still in her seat as she watched the showdown between the knight and the lightning mage. Erza continued to send Laxus a death glare of 'turn around and don't ever come back.'  But Laxus didn't move, and he merely stared at the young mage.

But there was something different about the way Laxus was staring at Erza. It wasn't with hate or displeasure. It was then Lucy realized something.

"Where's the old man?" Laxus broke the silence and the deadly stare down with the murderous redhead.

It didn't take long for the guild to erupt in a heated anger toward Laxus. Throwing accusation and death threats to the hated mage. He had already done enough damage to the guild already, and he should leave before making it worst.

"Laxus." Erza spat venom, making the guild go quiet. Erza was just beyond the boundary of anger, and it would be wise to not make it worst. Because right at that moment, Erza was not present. Titania stood in her place, blood boiling in absolute anger.

"Where's the old man?" Laxus repeated.

"Laxus, you will pay." Erza raised her swords, intent on bringing the swords down on Laxus.

But she was halted by a soft tap on her shoulder. Erza turned her head to the side and saw Lucy standing behind her. Perplexed, she lowered her swords to look at Lucy confusingly. "Lucy?"

Seeing that she had calmed down the redhead, even a little, she turned to the taller blonde with a determined look. Lucy can plainly see it now. Laxus is truly on the path of finding redemptions for his actions.

"Master is in the back, in the infirmary."

"Lucy." Erza was constricted between two thoughts in her mind. Beating the crap out of Laxus, or follow the whims of the hound blonde that she loves so much.  After a moment of debating, she retreated back to her normal set of armor, and stood protectively next to Lucy.

Laxus, without a word, stepped forward, toward where Makarov was currently in. As he passed Erza and Lucy, he let two words escape his mouth, "I'm sorry" before disappearing into the room of the infirmary.

The guild was silent, unsure of what to do. Erza stood silently next to Lucy, feeling concerned for her wellbeing.

"You going to be okay?"

"Yeah."

"You forgive him?"

"Compared to what my Father did, this was nothing."

Despite Lucy's forgiveness, Erza the Titania will never forgive the man. Never.

After a few moments of letting the silence sink in, Mira came skipping in their direction with glee. "Lucy! Erza!"

The redhead impulsively tensed at the tone the barmaid has spoke in. And the way she was skipping... Erza knew something bad was going to happen, and she wanted no part in it. In fact, she wanted to leave. Immediately.

"Lucy, we should leave." Erza hastily spoke, already tugging her toward the front of the guild.

hOwEvEr, Mira was already there, with her innocent dangerous smile.

The strawberry cake lover cursed under her breath as she was not fast enough to evade this woman. "What do you want, Mira?"

Mira responded with her infamous smile like she had already did, making the two girls shudder in anticipating terror. They had a fleeting feeling that something was going to happen.

Tension was building before Mira finally opened her mouth. "I heard that you two are going out."

Erza visibly relaxed, glad that Mira wasn't planning on doing anything to drastically to her. One time Mira teased her by not giving her any strawberry cakes and was eating them in front of her. This was only because Erza had refused to tell her about her feelings for Lucy. That was a dark time indeed. The strawberry cakes that she could've had eaten...

Lucy on the other hand was a bit confused. She got the feeling that it was a big deal about dating. Was it any different?

"So? Are you?" Mira pressed, leaning closer to Erza and Lucy. She will not leave them alone until she gets what she wants to hear.

"Yes we are. But you can't have her." Erza sternly spoke, glaring Mira in the eye while wrapping her arm around Lucy. The news had spread quickly hadn't it?  Erza figured that it had to do something with a certain rain mage.

Mira squealed with joy and tugged Lucy close to her (much to Erza agitation) and whispered something in her ear, "You know, Erza threatened a lot of people to stay away from you and made sure that you're only friends with the ones that she trusts...that's how much she loves you." Mira pulled away and winked at her before leaving the blonde alone, and doing her barmaid duties.

"What did Mira tell you?" Erza asked once Mira was out of earshot.

Lucy replayed the words Mira had spoken a few more times, before feeling a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see the redhead looking at her with a concerned look on her face.

"What did Mira tell you?" Erza repeated.

"Huh? Oh. Nothing important. So uh, can we go?" Lucy asked, suddenly have something that she wants to ask Erza privately. Erza wouldn't mind if she asked that, would she?

Erza took a few moment to study the blonde in front of her. With her calculating gaze, Erza eagerly complied and took Lucy's hand in hers. And gently guided her out of the guild. To a place that they both shared with equal passion of calmness.

...

The two girls sat together overlooking the river bank, enjoying the serenity of the wind and the retreating sun as it falls below the horizon. The silence felt peaceful. But honestly? Erza prefer to hear Lucy's voice.

"Lucy."

"Yes?"

Erza stared at the blonde in front of her, finding herself to be speechless. What could she say, but take in the beauty of her eyes? The beauty of her smile? The beauty of everything that Lucy adorns.

Then Lucy breaks the silence.  "Mira told me something...interesting."

"I thought you said it was nothing important."

"At the time, it was, plus I wanted to ask you about it when we're alone."

Erza blushed. "You know it's too early for that!" Already jumping to conclusions. (Gotta love her for that lol, so adorable)

"Eh?"

"We can't get married yet! We've only started to go out...plus we haven't done it yet!"

Lucy couldn't help but giggle, which became a fit of laughter. Erza stood there, watching the blonde laugh her heart out and wondered what was so funny, but she also loved the way Lucy laughed. She should totally try and make her laugh more.

"Erza...I don't know where you got that idea from, but I was going to say something else." Lucy said as soon as she calmed down.

"Oh...my bad...I was just...um...I was..." Erza was blushing, becoming redder than her own hair.

Lucy chuckled one more time, thinking that Erza was cute when she was flustered.

"Mira said that you threatened a lot of people." Lucy finally confessed.

Erza, who was still blushing, looked Lucy confusingly. "Really?"

"That you would make sure that nobody would approach me...making sure that I'm surrounded by trusted friends."

Erza gulped. "Oh that, yeah. I started doing that when I realized that...I had feelings for you..." Erza never knew that they would have this type of conservation. She felt embarrassed just talking about it.

"Really? And how long had it been...since you realized your feelings?"

Erza looked away, already feeling embarrassed, mumbling something. But Lucy couldn't hear her.

"What?"

"Since we met." Erza repeated, with clear evidence of embarrassment in her voice.

"Oh..." Lucy felt guilty at that. The very implication of having someone have feelings for her was enough to make her flustered. But hearing that Erza felt that way since they had met, well Lucy felt guilty.

But seeing a flustered stammering redhead before her... well Lucy wondered how she didn't see it before. It really was adorable. Especially when Erza was trying to force herself the blush to not show. Heh. If feels as if Lucy had a revelation as she sat next to the very object that made her realize just how thankful she was.

Yes, she felt very thankful and Lucy was struck with that feeling of fear. What would she do if something were to happen to Erza? Of all of the moments she had lived through, they were always the brightest when she was with the redhead. How could she had not noticed sooner?

Feeling a little shy herself, Lucy scooted closer to the redhead and grabbed her hands in hers. The action made the latter jump at the unexpected contact, but she greatly welcomed it.

"I would love to say that you overdo things, in the most intense way."

Erza would definitely say something, but... well she was too busy daydreaming about their close proximity and their enclasped hands. Ah it was a dream come true. And her hands felt so soft. Hehe her adorable blonde girlfriend.

"But I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you...and I'm glad."

Erza managed a smile through her tomato embarrassed cheeks , a wide smile at that.  "Anything for my princess."

Lucy chuckled. "So were girlfriends huh?"

"I do like the idea of calling you that." Erza felt a little bolder as she leaned in and wrapped her arms around the blonde, bringer her closer. Lucy reciprocated the hug, much to Erza's joy.

"Hehe my adorable beautiful girlfriend." Erza smirked as she pulled away, relished in the sight of an embarrassed blonde. Hehe so adorable.

Lucy remained quiet and stared off into the riverbank. Erza knew that the blonde was embarrassed at that, so she contended to just sit and enjoy the peace with her loving girlfriend. Hehe... Erza will never get tired with that word. It made her gleeful and joyful.

"Are you going to be in the parade?" After a few minutes of silence of serenity, Lucy then breaks the silence.

Just then and there, Erza felt a protective urge in her entire being. She turned to Lucy with a serious face.

"Don't do the parade."

"Huh? Why?"

The redhead then blushed, didn't think this far as to explaining why. "Ah well, I don't people to woo at you."

Lucy couldn't help but chuckle at that. So she decided to tease the taller girl "Jealous much?"

"Oh...well...I...I...." Erza stuttered.

"Ok let's make a deal. I won't go if you'll take me on a date."

Erza was now a stammering mess. Man that girl was so bold asking that. But she couldn't never resist it. "D-Deal."

Lucy grinned and leaned in to hug the redhead. It felt really different when she hugs Erza compared to the others. That what makes her so special.

Erza wrapped her own arm around the blonde, not planning on letting the girl go. Never. She's waiting long enough, this young girl will be under the protection of her own. She's not losing another cherished person. She lov- liked this girl too much to let her go.

{imagine the most corny romantic date to which they had kissed}

...

Later that day, the girls had found out that Laxus has faced judgement and was therefore exiled from the guild. And the first thing that came to Erza's mind was 'Good riddance!' But despite all that, and the things he did to Lucy, he still had a place in the guild. But she was more than eager to let the man leave as soon as possible. Just the look on his face makes her remember the terror she felt when Lucy was at his mercy.

Lucy on the other hand, didn't really have any thoughts on the matter. She could be both sad and glad (hey that rhymed).

The one who made a huge tantrum over Makarov's decision was obviously Natsu.

The rest of the day went by normal as it should had been. Then the next day came and the parade finally arrived.

Delivering on her promise, both Erza and Lucy opted out on the parade and watched the magical scene before her.

...

It had been a week since all of the chaos and the parade. The peace finally settled into the confines of the guild. It all felt normal... well almost. Laxus was no longer a member. But other than that, the guild was normal. Even an useless brawl that was started by two specific mages. Yep. Everything was normal again.

Amongst the normal chaos, our two favorite girls was seated at the bar, enjoying slices of strawberry cake. Erza was even sharing her own slice with the blonde, just to show how much she likes the little girl. Erza was so smitten and adorable whenever she was within proximity of the young blonde.

It was no secret anymore, as it was then common knowledge that Erza and Lucy are finally dating. Though Erza made a mental note to not trust a barmaid and a rain girl. Never trust them... ever.

However, Erza thought it was a good opportunity. No body will come by and try and steal Lucy from her. Thanks to her reputation as Titania, most mages will be too scared to even approach the blonde. It was a win-win.

"Oh! The Titania!" An obnoxious voice suddenly ringed in the air. "Whoa! It's really her!"

The two girls turned to the sudden entrance of familiarity. Someone they knew all to well. It was a guy that was holding a camera in his hands. He must be new considering how excited he was to even be in the guild's common room.

The man jumped forward and landed on his knees, screaming at the ceiling. "Cool! Cool! Cool! It's Erza in the flesh! Cool! Cool!" (Dramatic much?)

"Eh?" Lucy frowned and watched as the new guy was going bonkers. Hyper and annoying. Hmm. Oh and rude. Who hired his ass?

"Could I ask you couple of questions?" The guy asked with glitter in his eyes as he stared at Erza.

Erza stared at the reporter for a few seconds. She didn't see any harm in doing so. So why not? "I suppose so."

"All together, how many kinds of armor can you requip into?"

"Over 100." Erza answered with a prideful smile on her face.

"Cool! What is your favorite!?" The reporter asked, extensively writing into her book.

"The bunny girl one." Erza said immediately with no embarrassment. Lucy couldn't contain a giggle. Ezra was definitely adorable in that bunny suit.

"B-Bunny?" The reporter stuttered with a blush creeping in his cheeks. Lucy however frowned at that.

"I find the ears adorable." Erza was in her fantasy, thinking about the how the ears are adorable.

"Cool!" The crazy dude screamed excitedly, throwing his fists in the air. "What is your favorite food!?" He asked, moving on to the next question, pen and paper already in his hands again.

"Cheesecake and soufflé." Erza drooled...Of course Erza would say that, Lucy supposed.

Then, it was at that exact moment that the reporter then realized the existence of Lucy sitting next to Erza. The blonde wonder if his head was going to explode from screaming too much.

"Cool! It's Lucy! Can I ask you a favor!?" He screamed as he leaned toward the blonde.

Lucy blinked and laughed nervously. This guy is scaring her with his enthusiasm. "It...depends..."

"Cool! Can you pose for me!?" A camera was already in position, whether Lucy approved of it or not.

A fist was immediately delivered to the reporter's face, sending him across the guild. Erza was livid as she stared down on the reporter. Lucy shall only pose for her! No one else!

Lucy silently gulped at the silent dale aura that was forming around the redhead. "Um...Erza? You okay?"

The aforementioned girl then turned back to the blonde, with a nagging thought in her mind. She wonders... Maybe, just maybe...

Lucy sat still in her seat as she watched Erza dashed off to where the reporter had landed. Oh. Now she was grabbing him by his collar and sending orders to him. She couldn't hear exactly what Erza was saying. But the reporter was in heaven and was nodding vigorously with glee.

He earner complied to the murderous orders from the redhead and allowed Erza to drag him by his collar. (He's a masochist isn't he?)

"Lucy. You are going to pose." Erza said with a poker face as she stopped in front of the blonde.

"Eh?"

"You will pose."

Lucy was confused and stared at Erza and the reporter confusingly. Didn't Erza punched the daylights out of the reporter for asking such things?

She wonders what has changed her mind.

"Um...I guess..." She didn't see any harm in doing an innocent pose.

Erza silently and secretly pumped her fist in victory. However, from the distance, Mira saw this and grinned at how mischievous the redhead was. This would be a good blackmail material.

"Cool! Cool! Co-"

"Shut yer trap!" Erza bonked him in the head. "Now, give it to me."

"Cool! Cool!" The guy was more eager to do as he was ordered and handed it to the redhead.

Erza grabbed the picture of Lucy posing. Man it was sexy. She quickly pockets it. Then she grabbed the reporter's camera and destroyed it.

The reporter however didn't mind. In fact he was too busy fangirling.

"Pleasure doing business with you."

"Cool! Cool!" He  chanted as he walked away. It was the best day ever.

Ezra quickly composed herself and walked back to an oblivious blonde. Lucy was extremely confused.

"Lucy. Let's go." Erza called out, already tugging Lucy out of the guild.

"I have to say, today was quite interesting with you were acting weird." Lucy noted, looking at Erza as they walked to Fairy Hill.

"That's so? I apologize." Erza smirked, hovering her hands over the pocket where the photo sits.

Lucy laughed. "There's nothing to be sorry for. I just thought it was kind of funny...you know."

Erza smiled and wrapped her arms around Lucy for the rest of the way back to their room.

Meanwhile, amongst the shadow, the girls failed to notice the presence of a man stalking them.

...

The very next day, the two girls enjoyed their time at the guild. Lucy, at the back of her head, could feel that something was wrong. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen. Restless and alert, Lucy spent the rest of the day looking over shoulder in slight fear.

"Hey Erza. Can we go back?" Lucy finally had enough and wanted to go back to the safety of Fairy Hills.

Erza could never say no to that, or in general. She would never say no to her cute little blonde girlfriend. "Sure. Let's go." She was already standing, extending her hand to Lucy, waiting for her to grab it.

Lucy smiled as she grabbed her hand.

The two girls walked out of the guild with their arms linked, walking through the streets, and taking in the scenery in front of them.

"It's a pretty night." Lucy breathed, making sure that she was close to Erza.

"Not as pretty as you." Erza said, trying to keep a straight face without blushing, but failing miserably.

It somehow made Lucy happy to hear it coming from someone she cared about.

Erza was about to hug Lucy and attempt to give her a kiss...until an familiar obnoxious voice screamed into the night.

"Erza! Fight me!" Natsu roared, running head-on, oblivious to the moments the girls were having.

Instinctively, Lucy stepped back, allowing Ezra to do what she was good at. She equipped in her battle armor and charged at Natsu, giving him exactly what he wanted.

The blonde stood by, and watched the scene unfold. She was too busy watching Ezra kicking Natsu's ass that she didn't notice someone walk up behind her until a voice was heard.

"Lucy." A voice whispered from behind.

A voice, a voice of dreadful familiarity. It was enough to make Lucy tremble as she turned around. Much to her surprise and confusion, she saw a man with a heavy beard with a large cloak covering his identity.

The voice she had heard, surely it didn't come from this homeless person right? Surely she was hallucinating...

But this man knew her name, which made the blonde a bit more scared than she should be. Just who was this man?

Her question was immediately answered as the man removed the cloak covering her face.

Seeing that her worst fear was confirmed, Lucy couldn't help but remember all of the agony she had lived through.

"W-What are you doing here?" She felt like the girl she was back then. The hidden buried fear came boiling out with all of the anger and torture. The accusations and the very implications of being blamed.

It was enough to make Lucy stumble to the ground as she tried to step back.

Flashbacks of the very scene that she feared the most, she almost forgot the difference between reality and a memory.

"W-Why.. why are you here?"

Jude Heartfillia, her wretched father, stood in of her. In all of his homeless glory. Though Lucy slightly wondered why he looked so unglamorous and dirty. He's usually sharp and clean.

It was then that Ezra appeared in front of Lucy, staring at the man with intent of malice. As soon as she had finished her fight with Natsu, she noticed the peril that Lucy was in. And she had a sneaking suspicion who the person was because of Lucy's behavior.

Her sword at the man's throat, warning him not to coming any closer. "Stay away from her."

Usually, Lucy would have Ezra calm down and not be hostile to any of the civilians. But She made no such move. She only repeated her question in a frantic fear.

"Tell me! Why are you here!?"

Ezra invisibly flinched at the sudden tone of the blonde. She rarely raised her voice, no matter the circumstances. Lucy was really riled up and afraid.

"Heartfilia Railways was bought out from under me. The company, the house, the money, I lost it all." Jude spoke in an monotone tone, not slightly fazed at the the sharp edge at his throat.

It was then and there that Erza realized who was standing before her. She was certainly not expecting this.

"Then why are you here!? Go somewhere else!" Lucy then shouted, finding the ground to be the only thing to keep her focused. Otherwise she just wanted to fall. Fall and fall until she ceased to remember anything at all.

"What do you want from me!?" Lucy yelled again, staring straight at the man that she detested. "What about mom's grave!?"

On that note, Jude cautiously took out a small piece of paper and extended it toward the blonde. "I moved it to this location."

Lucy made no such moment, and didn't dare to move. No. She was done, and refused to be any close to man she once knew. She just sat on the ground with anger and fear in her eyes.

Seeing that Lucy was not making any movement, Erza snatch the piece of paper from her and pockets it. She knew that the blonde would want to see the grave again.

"If that's all, then leave."

"Don't be like that. I want to see my daughter."

Lucy grimaced in anger at that and grew even angrier. "I'm not your daughter. Stay away from me!"

Ezra looked over her shoulders to see the blonde on the verge of hyperventilating as she wrapped her own arms around herself. It was clear to what Ezra needed to do.

"I apologize what I had done in the past. I don't intend to linger here. I'm going to work at the Acalypha merchant guild now."

"Why are you telling me this? I don't care about what you do. Just leave me alone!"

Jude only stares at his daughter with regret. "Lucy..."

"Leave!" Lucy raised her voice even louder, loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood. Erza lowers the sword in surprise at the tone.

Lucy was trembling with fear, anger, confusion, rage, sadness...all her emotions can back all at once and it hurts.

Erza decided to end this. "I suggest you to leave now." Sending a murderous stare as a warning.

Jude got the message and gave Erza one last look. "Take care of my daughter."

The man then turned and walked off. The knight didn't move, and kept her eyes on him, until he disappeared around the corner.

Lucy, who was still on the ground, stared at the ground with hatred. Hugging herself tightly and taking deep breaths. The nerve of that man!

She was so busy being angry that she didn't notice two pair of arms wrapping around her. It was a comfort that Lucy didn't realized that she needed. A comfort to which Lucy finally broke.

She started crying and leaned into the redhead, craving more soft comforts from her. Lucy felt safe as she was wrapped in Erza's embrace.

"He's gone now. You're safe." Erza soothes with a soft tone as she held the blonde in her arms.

Lucy responded by nuzzling closer to the redhead.

"Let's go back." Erza stated, knowing that Lucy wanted to some privacy now. She proceeded to pick up the blonde bridal style, deciding to spoil the the young girl. The action, however, didn't stop the girls from being flustered. Such hopeless gays they are.

...

Back in the safe confines of their room, with a sense of familiarity, Erza sat next to Lucy who remained despondent.

"Lucy?"

"It still hurts." Lucy murmured as she hugged herself for comfort.

"What hurts?"

"My scars."

Erza looked upon the area where the scars were, hidden by a thin layer of clothing. She didn't view her with pity or anything. But with pride.

"But they are proof that you survived. Overcoming the very fear that kept you anchored for so long. To me, they are proof that you are fighting to live.

To that, Lucy turned to the redhead and buried herself in Erza's chest. What would she do without this amazing red headed woman?

"I love you Lucy. You are a survivor. You can do anything." Erra whispered with a soft tone as she hugged the girl close to her. And she meant it. She loved this girl.

"I'm glad that you are here." And Lucy meant it. Where would she be if she hadn't ran into Erza on that faithful day. It scared her to even think about that.

Erza smiled vowed to not let this beautiful girl slip out of her hands. And she knows for a fact that she wants to stay by her side forever.
