Sorry I'm feeling a bit lazy its super late 

Anyway enjoy!

School is so slow today. It's just now lunch time. I'm not hungry, so I'm not hungry enough that i really need food, so i skip lunch. I head outside and find a patch of grass under a tree and lay on my back.

This town is so small I like to lay out and imagine a world outside of this. One where I'm so much happier traveling the world. Riding into the night, windows down, music up on an empty road. No plans, no worries. I'm just happy.

"What the hell are you doing?"

Well, that was short lived.

I open my eyes and Alex and his little gang are standing over me. What now?

"What?"

"You're laying in grass with your eyes closed, with a completely blank look."

"Yea this is the first time i think I've not seen you with a smile," that comment was made by the third member of Alex's friend group Hunter. He's the goofy one I guess. He's always messing with people doing pranks. I don't think I've witnessed him ever being serious.

"Oh I'm sorry i was just relaxing i suppose i was a bit tired. I'll move so you guys can enjoy your lunch here," Ugh fuckers, ruining the bit of enjoyment I get during the school day.

I start to gather my bag, "Oh no its OK you can stay, we actually are doing a research project and are hoping you'll be a participant?" said Lucas.

"Hmm a research project? I'm not so sure. What does it require information wise?"

"Does it matter? It's not like you have many interesting things to put in the project." said Alex

My eyes shifted away as my grip on my bag tightened.

"Unless you're hiding something?" Alex said this with a suspicious smirk.

I looked at all of them with a dumb ass smile that has been on my face the whole time, only broadening it hoping desperately they wouldn't look close enough to realize it didn't reach my eyes.

"Haha don't be silly of course! I'd love to help out, I was only wondering."

"Thank you, that's great! Can we ask you a couple of the basic questions before we start?" Right as Lucas asked the bell rang.

Shit they wasted my whole lunch period.

"Oh well that's the bell, but another time?"

"Mrs Goodie can't be a little late?" Hunter teased as he tugged on a strand of my hair.

"Leave her alone Hunter we can't be late again. Can we stop by your house after school, May?" Lucas, being 'charming' as usual asked.

Crap, home is the one place I don't have to keep this front up, it'll be fine as long as it's quick.

"Sure, see you guys then," with that I took off towards the building already dreading having to see them after school.

Hunter is just a teasing dumb ass with what seems to be no passion.

Lucas I don't trust, his charming smile has never reached his eyes.

Alex seems suspicious of me, and I don't want that. But it'll work itself out, you know what they say, Curiosity killed the Cat.
