Sirius POV

I woke up and everything was white and bright, very bright, I groaned and rubbed my eyes. I turned and saw a heap next to me and felt something wet on my hand I tried moving it but whatever it was picked its head up. "Sirius?" a familiar voice asked I looked to the side and saw Remus his head was bandaged and there was a bit of blood.

"Am I dead?" I asked stupidly turning my head to take in my surroundings Remus laughed and squeezed my hand.

"No, thank god," he said I turned to look at him confused and he sniffed wiping his eyes.

"You hate me, don't you?" I asked he looked at me and shook his head kissing my cheek he sat back down.

"No, Lily told me Guy put your Sugar Quill in some love potion, she had Slughorn test them," he replied I nodded and groaned as I turned to my side and laid on my arm.

"It hurts," I groaned he chuckled and nodded kissing my hand again.

"That'll happen," he chuckled and I looked at him confused to which he blushed and looked down.

"That reminds me, did you cut? I remember Pomfrey telling me the bandages on your arms from December weren't from the last full moon," I asked he looked at me and started messing with the blanket that was covering my lap since I was now sitting up.

"Well, when I read your essay about Ammortentia I thought you somehow found out I like you and you were just messing with me," he explained looking up at me and back down again.

"Ah, your awake, I was about to come check on you," Pomfrey said walking over I smiled weakly as Remus moved back into the chair.

"What exactly are you going to do?" I asked as she put a tray of potions down and reached for my arm.

"See if the cuts healed and change the bandages if they didn't, then give you Potions for pain, I couldn't heal them magically but I could replenish your blood after bandaging you," she explained I nodded and watched as she removed my bandages.

Remus POV

I watched as Pomfrey remover Sirius' bandages to reveal two large gashes on both of his arms on was larger then the other on his right arm and on his left they weren't really large or small but they were still deep. I let out a whimper as she dabbed something around them and he grimaced when she finished I saw Sirius take the pain Potions as she bandaged him. "Ok, you can leave after lunch and I'll give you some Potions for when they hurt," Pomfrey told Sirius he nodded and she turned to me to take the bandages off of my head. "Remus, your head should be fine now since you hit it two days ago and I could heal it,"

"Wait, how long have I been out for?" Sirius asked sitting up I frowned as well as Pomfrey.

"Two days, we thought you'd be up yesterday but you weren't so we kinda lost hope that'd you ever wake up but I still stayed by you," I said as Pomfrey removed the bandages from my head.

"Oh, I'm sorry," he said I squeezed his hand and smiled at him Pomfrey walked off so I got back on his bed.

"I missed you," I said softly he smiled and nodded.

"I know, I missed you as well, come here," he said I smiled and put my forehead on his.

"I love you," I said pecking his lips he chuckled and patted my cheek.

"I love you, too," he said placing his hand at the back of my head and pulled me into a long passionate kiss.

"Hey, Remus, oh, Sirius your up!" Lily said walking in James close behind her both with looks of excitement.

"Yeah, me and Remus were just catching up," Sirius said I chuckled as James sat in a chair and Lily on his lap.

"If kissing is catching up then ok," Lily giggled and Sirius rolled his eyes.

"When can you leave?" James asked rubbing Lily's shoulder.

"After lunch," he said they nodded and looked around awkwardly.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you about Guy," Lily said patting her knees Sirius frowned and reached out to pat her hand.

"It's fine, it was my fault for not realizing it," he said squeezing my hand as he patted Lily's hand.

"Well, lunch is starting soon we better go, nice seeing you up, mate," James said patting Sirius' arm to which he groaned, "sorry."

"It's fine," he said chuckling they smiled and walked out I turned back to him and smiled as he ruffled my hair.

"You're adorable," I said as Pomfrey walked back towards us.

"I know not to ask so I sent for to trays of food," she said we nodded chuckling as she walked away a minute later an elf cracked into the room with two trays of food. We took them and ate talking and laughing occasionally, after we ate Pomfrey came back and gave Sirius his pain Potions and we were able to leave, I was able to leave yesterday but stayed with Sirius. We walked back to the tower hand in hand, "Hey, I actually got you something..." Sirius said as we entered the corridor to the Gryffindor tower.

"What?" I asked he smiled sheepishly and didn't talk until we got to the boys dormitory.

"It's stupid really, but I wanted to let you know I love you and I didn't know how too without saying it but I got this a few weeks ago and wanted to give it to you romantically but I think now the right time," he said I looked at him confused as he pulled a pair of bundled up black socks.

"Socks?" I chuckled he smiled faintly and pulled a box out of the socks and handed it to me I opened it to see a black ring with red diamonds on it I smiled and looked at him tears in my eyes.

"Do you like it?" He asked shifting on his feet I put it on my finger and wiped away the stray tears.

"No, I love it, it's perfect," I said he smiled and pulled me into a kiss I smiled into it as he pushed me onto the bed.

"Hey, guys-oh man," a female voice said we looked to see Lily in the doorway her hand over her eyes.

"We weren't doing anything, yet, but look at this Sirius gave me a promise ring!" I squealed she squealed as well jumping up and down.

"We were just about to walk around the castle and catch up maybe find more passageways for your map which I highly don't approve of," Lily said I nodded and motioned for Sirius to get up he groaned looking at the bandages on his wrists.

"Pull on a jumper or something to cover them if you don't like them, but just like you told me the scars don't define who you are," I said he smiled and pulled on one of my jumpers. We walked around the castle until it was time for dinner and we walked to the Great Hall.

"Oh, James I forgot look Sirius got me a promise ring," I said as we sat down at the table he squealed gaining the attention of the Hall we laughed as food appeared we piled food onto our plates and ate. After dinner we walked back to the tower, pulled on our pajamas and slept it was habit by now that Lily came in to cuddle with James at night so no one paid attention to it, I nuzzled into Sirius' neck and kissed his jaw smiling as I fell asleep.
