The next evening Candace was sitting on the couch in her apartment watching TV with Stacy and winding down after a friends birthday party at Coltrane's house. It had been a busy day and she only now had time to call Dan Povenmire. She pulled out the business card that he gave her. She took a deep breath, picked up her phone from the coffee table and dialed the number on the back of the card.The phone rang a few times before it was picked up and Candace heard someone say

"Hello, this is Dan Povenmire"

"Hi Mr Povenmire this is Candace Flynn"

"Oh, hi Candace, I didn't expect you to get back to me so quickly" his voice sounded concerned, as if her calling him so soon meant that she wasn't going to take his offer

"Well, I talked to my fiancé and my best friend, and I've decided to accept your offer"

Rreally? that's great!"

"So what's the first step, what do I have to do?"Candace asked. she really had no idea how this worked.

"Well the first thing you need to do is get permission from your brothers to turn them and their inventions into a TV show, and also get permission from anyone else you wrote about."

"Okay, I'm on it. By the way, thank you so much. This is the biggest opportunity of my life."

"No, thank you Candace I'm so glad I decided to come to your school. Oh and please, call me Dan"

"Alright Dan, thanks, I'll call you after I talk with my brothers"

"Ok, talk to you then, bye" Dan hung up and Candace sat in a slight daze with her phone still to her ear. When she finally put her phone down she noticed that Stacy had been watching her, Candace returned her curious gaze.

"So how did it go, what did he say" Stacy finally asked.

"He said I need to get permission from my brothers to turn them into a TV show I think i'll call them now actually." Candace picked her phone back up off the table "Oh yeah I also need permission from you to use you in the show"

"Oh my gosh Candace yes! I'll be famous! This is so exciting!" Stacy shouted while shaking Candace's shoulders.

"Okay, okay I get it. You're excited" Candace laughed "Now can I please call my brothers?"

"Oh, yeah, sorry, I think I'll just go make some cookie dough" Stacy released Candace who dialed Phineas's number and put the phone to her ear, it beeped a few times before she heard Phineas's voice say,

"Hello, you have reached the phone of Phineas Flynn, if your hearing this I can't come to the phone right now, so leave me a message and I'll get back to you. Oh and if you're calling about the chameleon and the peanut butter it was Ferb's fault." There was a long beep then Candace said,

"Hey Phineas it's Candace, call me back" she hung up and immediately dialed Ferb's number, after a few beeps it was picked up and she heard Ferb's low, British voice say.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ferb it's Candace"

"Oh hello Candace what's up?"

"Well there's something I want to talk to you and Phineas about" she was trying hard to contain the excitement in her voice.

"Why? Is something wrong?" She thought it was strange to hear Ferb talk so much, but then again it would be hard to have a phone conversation without talking

"No, no, everythings fine, but I'd rather talk about it in person"

"Umm, you know Phin and I are in Switzerland for the award ceremony right?"

"Oh that's right, sorry I completely forgot, it's been kind of a busy week for me"

"Don't worry about it, we will be home next week though, why don't you come over that Saturday?"

"That sounds great! thanks Ferb. Oh and one other thing, when I called Phineas his answering machine said something about a chameleon and peanut butter and that it was your fault, what's that about?" Candace smiled when she heard Ferb's deep throaty chuckle in response, she so rarely heard him laugh that it always made her smile.

"It's a long story, i'll tell you some other time, but right now phineas is about to test a machine he just built and I should probably make sure it isn't going to explode as soon as he turns it on" now Candace was surprised, that was a lot of words for ferb, even over the phone"

"Okay Ferb, love you, I'll see you next week"

" Love you too, bye" with that Ferb hung up leaving Candace to sit and think about how proud she is of her little brothers who are at an award ceremony in Switzerland at the age of only sixteen. She was pulled out of her thoughts by a loud crash, she turned abruptly to see Stacy in the kitchen surrounded by pieces of a ceramic mixing bowl. Candace rushed into the kitchen to help her clean up the mess, than they got a new bowl and made a fresh batch of cookie dough together.
