Chapter 3
Not long after, I had cooked a plate of eggs, bacon and buttered toast. I go out into the living room where Uncle is reading a big black book. With a gold cross on the front. Oh, he's reading a Christian bible. I don't think much of it and walk up to him with my head tilted down.
"I made you breakfast, Uncle." I said, keeping my voice in normal ranges.
Uncle doesn't like talking about his episodes, that's why I didn't mention that he did anything to me or show I'm in pain. Uncle is difficult to predict. There is no rhyme or rhythm to the way he acts. I suppose it is due to him being mentally ill like mommy told me. Yes, I still call my mother mommy. She will always be mommy to me. She didn't live long enough for me to formalize what I call her, like simply 'mom' or very formally 'mother'. My mommy will always be my mommy.
Uncle didn't even look up at me but held his hand out. "Give it to me."
I place it in his hand and he glances at it. I cross my fingers behind my back, hoping he finds my meal satisfactory enough.
"You're excused. Don't dilly dally on your way home."
I bowed. "Yes, Uncle."
I cheered in my head as I made it to my room. I grabbed the big yellow bell dress off of my makeshift hanger and just slipped it on over my clothes in my hurry. I don't get hot too often so I'm not worried.
I hurry, as much as possible in the huge dress, to the front door. I slip on my boots once more but also grab a pair of properly fitting shiny black flats meant for school only. I'll get into how I got them for some other day. I go outside and power walk through our yard and onto different trail. I lift the skirt so it doesn't get dirty. Rich kids can be awful, I know from experience, so it helps a lot if you can simply blend in. Its easier to survive that way.
I make it to a break in the trees and see the old brown pickup truck that my Uncle gave to me to get to school and back. It's on its last legs– er, wheels and I'm pretty sure it was originally a red color. In fact, its the same truck he drove me in when he got me. He has a newer slightly used car now.
I get in the truck quickly and start it. I really hoped I wasn't late on the first day of my second year. Uncle and I usually leave the keys in our cars with the doors unlocked because no one ever comes out into the woods this far. I started driving and 4-wheeled my way outta there. Ouran Academy, here I come!
***
I drive my old truck into a back entrance that leads to a teachers parking lot. I have talked to headmaster Suoh-sama directly for permission to park here. It helps with the whole blending in thing if people don't know I drive myself. Let alone drive something below even commoner standards. I'm not quite sure where I fell in the social food chain.
Anyways, I find my assigned parking space and park there. I unbuckle my seatbelt and take my boots off, throwing them in the back. I grab the shiny black flats and gently shove them on. I grab my bag and put the car keys in it. I get out and lock the car. You have to be a little more careful in civilized areas. Even if no one here wanted it, they'd probably drive it off a cliff or something for fun. Nothing is too extravagant or too much for the rich.
I make my way around the giant school building and then easily blend into the ever flowing stream of students going inside. The magnificence of Ouran always takes my breath away.

Hey guys!
Yeah, yeah, I know. This is the third chapter and we JUST got to school.
But hey, at least I've been updating relatively quickly!
Fun fact: Emiko has done what she has found necessary. So if it means shoplifting a pair of shiny black shoes to make school life easier, so be it.
See you in the next update!
**Edit, this chapter has been slightly revised.
