I looked between the cages, I had to choose, either Silver or everyone else, crap. My mouth opened but no sound came out, and it closed. I didn't want Silver to die again, but I didn't want to kill, how many? A lot of innocent people just for the one.

"I..." I couldn't choose, so an idea came to mind, "Can I save them both?"

"No, you must choose one or the other, unless you have something better to sacrifice." Mephiles shook his head.

"Then..." I paused for a minute, "I choose to save everyone, for my life."

Everyone gasped and a few shouted, "You can't do that! Don't do it!" And other stuff.

"If that is what you choose, I guess I can accept that." Mephiles nodded.

"No Haven, don't." I turned to look at Silver, "Just choose the others, I will be fine, don't get yourself killed."

I smiled, "I'm always getting myself killed."

"Come on, lets take you to your new room." Mephiles bossed. He grabbed my arm and dragged me to a small brick room. It had no windows and it smelled horrible.

"Wait, aren't you going to kill me?" I asked, pulling out of his grip.

He gave me a small glare, "I am, but I want to do it in front of your friends, I want them to see you die, to see what you choose, to save all of them."

I glared back, "Your a monster, you know that? A real monster."

"Ah yes, I am, but I have a friend I want you to meet." He stood to the side, and like as if he was there the whole time, the hedgehog gave me a once over and snickered. He looked just like Silver, but with blue eyes and goldish orange chest fur, Venice the Hedgehog.

I gave a low growl, "I already know who he is, why do I need to meet him?"

"Because, dog, I will be your trainer." The silver hedgehog grunted.

"Why do you need to train me if I'm only going to be killed?" I questioned.

"Well it's simple," Mephiles broke in, "They think your going to die, and I wanted you to think that to, so it was more believable. Instead we are going to train you, to work on our side, so you yourself can kill your friends."

I snickered, "You can't train me, I know who is good and not, I'm on the good side. You can try all you want, but your not going to break me."

"Ah, but i will, I have before, and I will again." Venice shot me a smile.

I returned it with a scowl, "You can try, but I'm not weak."

"We will see about that." He pushed me into the room and I fell on my back. I sat up coughing from the risen dust. I looked around to see if there was a way out, but it was blocked, by Venice.

"If you try to escape, I will kill you. Now, stand up." He ordered. I stayed sitting and crossed my arms, time to be stubborn. He gave me a threatening glare but I stayed sitting, I wasn't going to let him 'train' me, and I wasn't going to turn bad either.

He pulled something shiny out from behind him and held it to his mouth, "Stand up."

I shook my head, "No, and you will never make me."

"Then I have no choice." He blew into the shiny thing and there was a piecing screech in my ears. I covered them and closed my eyes, he had a dog whistle, great. It was starting to get really painful and I placed my head on the cold ground, when it stopped.

I looked up to see Venice was staring at me, "Get up now."

I grit my teeth and stood up, crossing my arms. A thought came to mind, did Silver feel that? What is he doing now? I tried to ignore the question and focus on the hedgehog in front of me.

"Show me your weapon." He grunted.

I growled back and my bow appeared in my hand, set and ready to use. I smiled as I held it up and aimed at his head, within seconds I shot an arrow at him, only for it to be stopped in mid-air.

"Ah ah ah, none of that. Now put your weapon away." He shook his finger at me and I shook my head. The arrow was then headed straight for my head, until I ducked and it got lodged into the wall behind me.

"Put your weapon away." He grumbled.

I growled back and my bow disappeared. He shook his head in disappointment and I rolled my eyes as I sat down again.

"Did I say you could sit down?" He asked.

"Did I say you could boss me around?" I shot back.

He walked forward and grabbed the collar of my shirt, hauling me up onto mt feet, "Did I say you could sit down?"

"No." I replied sharply. I knew what was happening, he was using force to train me, and like any other pet that was brought up cruelly, they are savage to other people.

"Then stand up." He let go and took a step back, "Attack me, show me what you can do."

I stood in my fighting stance, something I actually wanted to do, so I obliged. After a few seconds of silence and standing still, I charged, the first thing I do is duck and trip Venice over, I stood up and sprinted for the open door, using my speed.

I got out and ran down the hall, opening the door at the end and sprinting up the stairs. It's a good thing I have a good memory, sometimes, I ran through another door and burst into the room with my friends.

All their heads snapped up and when they saw me, they where surprised. Sonic and Tails stood up, while the others stayed seated.

"Haven, your alive!" Tails yelled.

"Shhh!" I hushed, "Yes, I'm alive. They where going to kill me in front of you guys. Then Mephiles says he was going to change me and turn me onto their side, then I escaped."

I was stared at by everyone and I sighed, "Shadow, do you still have your Chaos Emerald?"

"Yeah wh--" He face palmed and grabbed it, "Why was I so stupid?"

"Do you want me to answer that?" I asked.

He gave me a look and I smiled innocently back. I pulled my emerald out when Venice burst through the door. Again, everyone was surprised, but I was more rolling my eyes.

"Silver has a faker?" Shadow asked.

"Apparently." I grumbled as I faced the furious hedgehog.

"You, have been a very bad dog." He yelled. I growled at him calling me a dog and shot Shadow a glance. He gave me a nod and gathered everyone together. Venice didn't even give them a glance as they moved, he had his eyes one me.

"I'm not a dog." I said calmly, "I'm a wolf."

"Same thing." He grumbled, "Now come with me."

"No." I shook my head.

He looked at me, a smile on his face, "No?"

I nodded, "No."

He pulled the whistle out again, "So be it." He blew into the whistle again and I covered my ears, as did Silver. We both collapsed onto our knees as Venice continued to blow the whistle. I laid my head on the ground again as he continued.

It was getting more and more worse and I could feel a liquid coming from my ears, warm and thick. I could feel my tears running down my face as the pain grew more worse and my head shot up,

"Stop it! Stop it!" I begged.

He stopped and smiled in satisfaction. I pulled my hands away and saw they where covered in blood. I looked at Silver, he wasn't bleeding or crying, but he was rubbing his ears and shaking his head.

"Come now." Venice ordered.

I looked at my friends and stood up, "Now!" I yelled.

Shadow pulled out his Chaos Emerald, "Chaos Control!" He disappeared with everyone else in the cage.

I to grabbed my emerald, "Chaos Control!" I saw a flash of light surround me then I was next to Silver. I looked at him, then Venice, grabbing Silver's arm and repeating what I just said. We closed our eyes and when they opened, we where in Silver's lounge room.

"Well, better go find everyone else." I stated walking out the door.
