So yesterday was... Different, and strange, and just plain awkward. Oh well. Time to get the party ready, luckily we have decorations, and food. It was a quick morning, we got up, had breakfast and I got dressed, Silver being a hedgehog and like Sonic, didn't wear clothes... It was weird, but I have gotten use to it...

Anyway, getting off topic, we where getting ready when there was a knock at the door,

"But we don't start for another three hours!" Silver exclaimed looking at the clock. It was actually the first time we talked sivily, all morning we have been giving each other orders and rushing here and there. I was hanging the decorations while Silver made the food, and sometimes he needed to help me when I couldn't reach something.

I had smiled when he helped, "Thanks."

He blushed a little, 'No problem."

My smile grew, "What you blushing about?"

"Uh nothing." Silver looked at the ground, "I better keep an eye on the food, in case it burns." He walked back into the kitchen, at a power walk. I shook my head, whatever has gotten into him, it surely was strange.

That was only minutes before, now we are walking to the door, I opened it and my eyes widened, "Shadow, what are you doing here?"

"What? Can't a guy help for a party?" He gave me a small smirk, which utterly shocked me, he hadn't really smirked, or smiled when I was here, and probably before to.

"Um, well he can, if he wants to." Silver shrugged.

"I want to." Shadow nodded.

I just stared at him, and he gave me a look, "What?"

I shook my head, "Nothing, come in."

"You know, you act like you really do live here." Shadow stated.

My face burned up as I looked at Silver, "No, just a guest."

"Well, Silver could use someone you know, he is all alone here." He gave Silver a teasing smile while Silver turned bright red,

"Let's just get the party ready."

I nodded, "I'm nearly done with the decorations, you should go and watch the food." I looked at Silver, and he nodded, "And Shadow, you can... er..."

"I will just clean up..." He nodded, he was acting really strange, and he was still smirking, weird.

"Okay." Silver walked into the kitchen and I kept hanging up the decorations. Shadow went around and vacumed the floor, the couch, the lot. I still found it strange that he would come to help us, then vacum the house? Wow.

"Hey, are you okay Shadow?" I asked.

"What? Oh I'm fine." He kept smiling, this was unlike him, "Just here to help out, learn when the party is."

"But we have already told you."

"It slipped my mind." he shrugged, facing the other way.

"Okay, well it starts in three hours, and you don't need to bring anything." I stated.

He nodded, "Of cause, thanks."

"I'm done." I took a step back, to admire my work, I had done a good job, so I walked into the kitchen to see if Silver needed any help.

'Yeah, can you make the dough for the mini pizzas? I just need to keep an eye on the chillidogs."

"You really like to cook, dont you? Especially for a party." I noted.

He looked up, "Yeah, just a hobby I guess." He went back to baking.

I started on the dough, when Shadow came in, "What smells so good?"

"Silver's cooking." I complimented.

Shadow looked at Silver, "I didn't know you could cook!"

"Um... Shadow, you where the first to know." Silver stated.

"Really? Wow, well I better... go, and get... Ready." The black hedgehog started for the door. I looked at him confused,

"Okey then... See you in three hours."

Shadow was still smirking, "Sure, see you then." And as he closed the door, I thought I saw a glint of green in his eyes, weird.

"Was that even Shadow?" Silver questioned.

"I don't know, it might have been, but I think otherwise." I shook my head.

"... And they're coming to the party?"

"Yep."

"It was Shadow, he does that every time we plan a party, he acts different so we think it is someone else, then at the party when we are edgy he just... Laughs." Silver explained, smiling, "He really got us the first time, but now, now it is old."

"Oh okay, but, when he left, I saw a flash of green in his eyes, is that normal?"

Silver shrugged his shoulders, "Meh, lets just finish setting up for the party."

"Okay." I continued with the dough, and Silver joined after finishing with the Chilli dogs, we both put the toppings on the pizzas and put them in the oven. Then we made a few other small party snacks, until the pizza was ready to come out.

"And... Done." Silver said as he set the tray of mini pizzas down.

"So what do we do now?"

"Play the Wii?"

"Your on." I ran into the lounge room, grabbing a wii remote and getting player one, "Ha! I'm player one!"

"I don't care, it doesn't make a difference on who will win."

I rolled my eyes, "Wann bet? I'm going to smash you."

"Sure." There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice, and I smiled,

"I'm serious, I will win."

"Yeah, and I will turn blue." He rolled his eyes as I laughed.

"Whatever 'Kirbster'." I teased.

"Hey, I earned that name."

"Sure." I rolled my eyes, sarcasm in my voice.

"We gonna play or not?" He asked.

"Play, I can't wait to smash you in this." I sat up, getting ready.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm getting ready... To beat you."

He laughed again, "Sure, now, I bags Kirby..."

"Got him!" I yelled, while Silver was distracted I quickly chose the only one he played as... Kirby.

"Hey, I said I bags him!"

"Well your to slow." I laughed.

He just sighed, "It's no use."

I stared at him, a big goofy grin on my face, I know that saying, and I always make jokes of it... 

"What?" He stared at me.

"Oh, sorry, its just what you said."

"What about what I said?"

"In the first game your in, it's your number one saying... In a boss battle when ever someone fights you. You are a real pain in the butt when that happens. Always cornering me and killing me."

He looked at the floor, "Oh, am I that annoying?"

I stared at him, "What? No! It was awesome, and difficult, which shows what a good fighter you are."

He gave me a smile, "Really?"

I smiled back,"Yeah... you even brought Shadow to a stalemate."

"Wow..." He kept staring at me, deep in thought I guess.

I cleared my thraot, "So, we gonna play now?"

He blinked, shaking his head, "Yeah, I guess I will be Sonic..."

I laughed, "Yeah..."

We started playing, Silver was all over the place, he had no idea how to control the Sonic on the screen, while I was smashing him with Kirby's hammer, after a few minutes of the one-sided battle, Kirby finally triumpthed over Sonic, winning the battle.

"That's not fair... I don't know how to play as Sonic!" Silver whined.

"Do you want me to teach you?"

"Um... Sure, I guess." He handed me his remote.

We stayed there for the rest of the afternoon, while I showed him how to play as Sonic, every now and then he might crack a joke and make me laugh, and I would do the same, making him laugh, I like his laugh, and that's the truth.

I looked up at the clock, we had an hour to get ready, "We better get ready."

Silver looked at the clock to, "Yeah, we should... Wait, Have you worn your pick cameo clothes yet?"

"Um... No, why?" I looked at him confused.

"You should wear them tonight... Er, I mean, for the party, that's all." He stated, turning a little red, I laughed and gave him a hug,

"Sure, just let me have a shower."

I don't know... Is it short? Meh, the next one might be short to... >:) for a good reason, some of my freinds know, but only some >XD muahahahahahahaha.... Enjoy the rest of the book.
