Unconventialism

I don't know if that's an actual word, but I'm gonna use it any way.

Be unconvential, as in be different than the generic norms that were already set in Wattpad. You won't get as much reads than those books.

BUT. This is important.

At least the readers you get are genuine readers who love the story you've written.

Oh, you wanna write a fanfiction where the OC is really OP? Too generic.

A fanfiction where the OC is actually human with human capabilities in a world of fantasy so he's forced to adapt to the world?

Sounds like a good plot to me as long as you don't butcher it.

A story where your character got isekai'd because Truck-kun felt like it? Overdone.

A story where your character is forcefully isekai'd against their will and forced to adapt themselves to it? That sounds like a good plot. . . If, again, you don't butcher it.
