John welcomes Taylor by hand shake and offers her seat.
"So," John starts "Taylor, dear, how are you doing? Is there something on your mind, before we start?"
Taylor takes a deep breath and few seconds before responding, which makes you curios about what she'll say.
"I would just like to thank you for inviting me, John. To be honest, I was watching your show from the very start, I didn't ever see myself to talk with you. It's an honor."
John gives her cheerful smile and says "Honor is all mine, Taylor!"
She looks down shyly.
John takes it as his cue to start asking something.
"So, Taylor, let's tell something about yourself to an audience. Please, introduce yourself!"
Taylor nods.
"Hello everyone, I'm Taylor Williams. I'm 19 years old, I was born on 10th September of 1998 in sign of Virgo, as a guy, which I never really felt like."
John half-interupts Taylor at the end of the sentence:"Could you be more specific about that, Taylor?"
John moves on the side of his seat, showing that he is interested in the subject.
Taylor nods.
"I think it started to show in the kindergarten. I would always prefer playing with dolls and for cooking, rather than playing with cars and bulldozers like the other guys. I can remember other guys always giving me those weird looks, but girls didn't really ever mind. Once my kindergarten teacher, I think she was called Rose, told my parents about my behavior. They just shook it off at that time, thinking I'll grow up from it."
"I see you didn't, right Taylor?"
Taylor giggles. "That's right John. I wouldn't sit there with you, of I did."
"That would be kinda shame, wouldn't it?"
Everyone in the auditorium, including you, shows their agreement.
Taylor blushes slightly. It seems that she forgot about all the people, that are watching her for a moment and now she remembered them.
John asks:"It seems, that you could have some problems with your behavior from your childhood. Do you remember something from your first grade of school?"
Taylor looks slightly down and nods.
"I remember a lot. When I didn't 'grow up' from my girly behavior at that time, my parents seemed as if they lost hope or something. Kids in school would laugh at me a bit, but it wasn't that bad at that time. To be honest, I wasn't even really understanding, what am I doing wrong or why wasn't I allowed to talk about girly things and play with dolls.
It was kinda like this until the 4th grade, where people started to think I'm really weird."
Taylor pauses, it seems to you, as if she would like to skip this part, but was telling herself, that she can't.
She took a deep breath and continued.
"T-thats where the bullying started."
John patted her arm, to let her know, that we are there for her.
She nods slightly, knowing that we want to know more.
"There were those guys, I think there was like 4 or 5 of them, who started it. They would laugh at how girly I was dressing up, because I often wore girly t-shirts and skirts, or dresses with leggings. I would experiment with mom's nail polish a lot, trying to fit in between the girls.
I can remember them hitting me a lot or tearing up my clothes.
Lots of my friends left me, because they didn't want any troubles.
Only one of my friends remained for me, June.
She was always really nice to me and she would help me with dressing up.
She took me as girl equally as the others."
Taylor took another deep breath.
"June, if you are watching this, I would like to thank you, I couldn't be myself without your help."
You wiped tear from your cheek.
John questioned her again:"I see you had it though from the beginning until now."
Taylor nods hesitantly, not wanting to act like she had worst life.
You can see, that she is bit anxious about herself.
John asks her to continue, asking:"What about your family?"
Taylor looks away for a bit.
"They weren't taking it well. I know that my dad was freaking out from the kindergarten, but my mum wasn't happy about it either.
I can remember dad hitting me a lot, while he and mom were asking themselves, what did they do wrong.
Thats when I found out true meaning of xenophobic person."
You were shocked, or maybe just sad for Taylor.
Maybe you couldn't imagine, if your parents were like this or you were treated like her before.
One way or another, you feel bad for her.
She seems like a sweet girl.
You can't see, why would someone be like this on her.
