Keyuri's POV

One more. I rejected one more prospect. Without meeting him in person. Just by seeing his biodata half heartedly (my parents handed his biodata to me) .My parents had got the tough task to find someone who lived in my city and had same educational background as mine. They didn't want to wed me off to unknown person. That's why the search was in full force. By rejecting the last eligible person, their hopes of getting me wedded to another guy of my own community had been crashed.

The atmosphere in my house was tensed. They tried to convince me to think about the guys residing in another city but having same profession as mine. But I was too firm. I made it clear that the guy had to belong from Ahmedabad. (That reduced the list of prospects and made the rejection easier)

As a result they had to restrict their search for guys who were residing in Ahmedabad (my city). My mum even asked my dad to see if his colleagues or friends had son of my age.

I seriously felt guilty of hiding the fact about my love from my parents. But if I would have told them, they would not have accepted the relationship. They weren't as broad minded as Kevin's parents'.

My parents liked Kevin. After the day he left my house the following morning, my parents did praise his manners. However they saw him as sensible and gentleman guy. But they didn't get the instant idea that 'this guy' could be eligible to be 'intended' for their daughter.

I wanted to insert the notion into my parents mind that ' this is the most eligible guy'. But I didn't know how. I had to find subtle ways to pinpoint out his eligibility. I was searching for an occasion when suddenly the opportunity itself knocked my door (literally)

I heard a doorbell and found Jay standing in front of me with a bright smile and marriage invitation card in his hand. He had come to invite me and my family to his marriage. We had studied in the same batch of CA Final tuitions. And he was mutual friend of mine and Kevin. He knew about our relationship (all our friends knew about it) and added that he was also inviting Kevin and his parents.

An idea stuck into my brain. I asked Jay to help me out and he graciously agreed. Kevin was made for me. And it was the time to push that idea into my parents' mind.
