Adam and Ashley's Place

I went with Adam to get the groceries that was need for the picnic.I was nervous as hell at the store and dropped three pickle jars on the floor.
Adam must have told to relax at least fifty times.
As I approached the front door to Adam and Ashley's place it opens. There stood Bex. In a blue sundress,white sandals and red sunglasses. She smiled at me and gave me a quick hug as I was carrying in groceries I couldn't return the hug right away. She followed me outside where I was taking the bags.
As soon as I put them down I grabbed her and hugged her tightly.
"Gosh how I've missed doing that," I said.
She smiled "I've missed your hugs too. But when we go out I still am not there yet.But I am now."
I lean in to kiss her. She immediately placed a hand up.
I blinked at her "No kissing?"
She shook her head "No kissing."
"But Bex we had sex like six times that day you said you'd give us another chance."
Bex looks at me "Don't even go there. You know my feelings on the Come on baby let's just fuck guy."
" Ok we are starting over so I will respect your wishes Bex, "I said smiling at her as I bowed.
She laughed and rolled her eyes "You are an idiot Colby."
I hugged her again "Can I at least kiss your cheek?"
" Of course since you asked nicely, "she said with a smile.
I kissed her cheek and swallowed hard I so wanted to kiss those warm inviting lips but we were back at square one. We are taking things slow.

Adam and Ashley's Place

" Come on in guys the water is great!! " yells Ani from the in ground pool.
"Be right there," said Colby "Bex you coming?"
I shook my head no.
"I am helping Ashley with the salads," I said as Adam came out.
"I got it it's in the bathroom," said Adam whispering in my ear "Harder than hell to hide it with him with me."
"Thanks," I said hugging Adam.
I go back into the house and to the bathroom where Ashley sat on the edge of her tub with her cellphone set to the stopwatch.
"Ready?" asks Ashley as I pick up the blue box.
"As I ever will be. I can't believe I.might be pregnant" I said taking the stick out.
"Do you want me to step out while you pee on it?" asked Ashley.
"No," I said as I pulled my dress up and pulled.my underwear down. We lived together for nearly eight years we all saw each other nude at one point in time.
After taking the test I sat it on the sink and washed my hands. By that time Trinity had slipped in and was sitting on the edge of the tub too. I sat between them and they both wrapped me in a hug.
"We've got you," said Trinity "No matter what happens. You have always got us."
I smile as tears freely flow. Ashley sets the cellphone on the counter and takes my face in her hands.
"Coop is just getting a cousin a little earlier than we thought,"said Ashley with a smile "And like Trinity said you have her,Adam,Ani, Kenny and me. "
We sit there for the loooooooooongest three minutes in the history of my life. When it goes off. I stand and close my eyes. The next few moments where going to change my life.........

Outside

I sit there at pool side as I wait for Bex to come back out. The girls and Adam are swimming. I noticed Adam had stopped swimming and was looking at the sliding back door.
"Girls Ashley needs help. Our help," he said.
Almost as if the girls understood they swam and got out.
As I watched them disappear into the house Bex comes out.
"Colby?!" she said taking her sandals off and sitting on the edge of the pool before she dangled her feet into the water.
I noticed something in her hands "What's that?" I ask pointing to it.
She swallowed hard "That's what I want to talk to you about," she said with tears in her eyes as she handed me what was in her hand.
"Is this a thermometer?!"
She shook her head no and laughed slightly "Turn it over," she said biting her lip.
I slowly turn what I thought was thermometer to see Clear Blue written at one end and a little window with the word Pregnant in it. It takes a few moments to completely register.
She is looking at me "Say something!Anything!"
" I-I-I-I-I, "I stammered as I stood up. I quickly pulled her up and hugged "I couldn't be happier."
She smiled at me "You're not mad?!"
" Mad?! Why would I be mad? "
"I know you didn't want kids right now and with us taking," she said before I put a finger to her lips shushing her.
"Whatever you want to do Bex.If you want to raise this child as couple or just a unit I am fine with whatever you want."
She looks at me with tears in her eyes "I want to be with you forever and for always Colby Lopez," she said before connecting her lips with mine "I love you."
" I love you more, " I said breaking the kiss "Oh my god a baby! You and I are going to be parents?!"
She nods "Guess so."
" Holy shit, "I said placing my hand on her stomach.
She looks at me with a smile "So much for taking it slow huh Lopez?"
I laughed "And to think I thought you were having me over to break up with me."
" No, "she said as we sat side by side on the pools edge dangling our feet in the crystal clear water "I got scared when I missed my period in June and now I was late again this month. So I had Adam pick up a test for me while. "
I hold up a hand "Wait he got it while I was with him?! Man I must have been so nervous that I never even saw him put it in the cart. "
She laughed that laugh I have grown to adore over this past year.
"You are so oblivious sometimes Lopez but I wouldn't change you not one little bit, "she said before lacing our fingers together.
" Bex I wouldn't change one thing about you either. To me you are perfect. "
She smiled before our lips connected again. Yes we were supposed to take things slow but this just felt right. I couldn't wait to see what the next seven months would bring.
