Chapter 9 Tris's POV
"Ok, so I'm going to pretend to be Uriah, and you're going to practice saying how you feel to me," I tell Christina. "You ready?"
"I'm ready," she replies.
"Ok, here we go." I clear my throat.
"Hey Uriah," Christina says to me.
"Hey Christina," I say in my attempt of a boy voice. "Sup?!"
Christina bursts into laughter.
"What? What did I do?" I ask.
"You're doing a terrible job of pretending to be Uriah," she answers.
"Hey, I'm trying!" I say. "Let's try this again."
"Okay. Hey Uriah."
"Hey Christina. Sup?!"
I can tell Christina is trying not to laugh. "Well I just wanted to let you know that the reason why I kissed you is because I like you. I actually liked you for a long time now but I didn't want to admit it before. I was wondering if you feel the same way about me."
"Eh, no. Sorry. You're just not my type. I'll see you next year."
"Tris!"
"What?"
"You're not helping!"
"How am I not helping?" I ask.
"You sound like a drunk guy and you're saying no. I thought you were trying to make me feel better about asking him." she replies.
"Well first of all, I'm not very good at sounding like a normal guy so don't judge me! And second, I said I was going to help you, not make you feel better. If I say no to you, it will help you practice on how you will react if Uriah actually says no to you."
"Can't I just wait for Uriah to make the first move?" Christina asks.
"Normally I would say yes but after you just created the most awkwardest scene in the hospital, then no. You now have some MAJOR explaining to do girl. Plus what are you worried about? You're kiss woke him up! It's true loves kiss. He'll definitely say yes." I reassure her.
"Tris, there's no just thing as true loves kiss. He just woke up on his on."
"Hey Christina. It's Uriah. Can you please open the door?"
