Chapter 7 Tris's POV
"I'll be right back," I tell everyone and then run after Christina. It took a little bit but I finally found her hiding in the janitor's closet (I could hear her crying from outside). I try to open the door but she locked it.
"Christina, it's Tris," I say. "Please open the door!"
She opens the door and let's me in but locks it right after I enter. We stand there in silence for a few minutes, not knowing what to say.
"Cara's a jerk!" exclaims Christina.
"I know," I reply. Then there comes another moment of silence, but then I finally ask, "Why didn't you tell me you liked Uriah?"
"You never told me you liked Four," she answers.
"Well you never asked me," I say. "You told me you liked Will. Why not Uriah? I even asked you if you liked him and you told me you only saw him as a friend."
"That's not true...," Christina says.
"Not much of a Candor now are you?!" I joke.
We both laugh.
"I'm sorry I lied to you." Christina tells me. "I guess I just wanted to pretend I didn't like him because I didn't know if he feels the same way about me."
"I'm sure he does," I tell her. "You guys seem like you would make a great couple anyway. You spend a lot of time together. He seems to make you laugh. Plus, you guys both lost someone you loved."
"You really think so?" Christina asks me.
"Yes," I reply. "And I think you should tell him how you feel about him. I'll come with you and help you."
"Ok, thanks."
"No problem."
