I'm shocked to see her. I thought she was in jail where she belongs.

"Why are you not in jail?" I ask Nita.

"Ugh, do I always have to explain my self?!" she says. "Since you morons erased their memories, the police couldn't remember why I was guilty, so they let me go."

"What did you do to Tris?!" I demand.

"Nothing," she replies.

"Liar," I say.

"Why would I lie to you?" Nita asks. "We were friends, remember?"

"Yeah, we were until you almost killed my best friends's brother!"

"She's the one who caused the explosion?" Uriah asks.

"Yup," I answer.

"First you almost killed my boyfriend, and now you've kidnapped my best friend?!" exclaims Christina. "Guess what girl, I can hurt too!" Christina is about to punch Nita, but I stop her.

"Christina, fighting is not going to solve anything," I tell her. "Now tell me where Tris is," I order Nita.

"Okay," she says. "But first, everyone else must leave the lab."

We're all silent and still at first, but then I tell everyone to leave the lab. After everyone leaves the lab, I ask her again, "So where's Tris?"

"Here's the deal," she says. "I knocked her out and I have her hidden in a room you don't know of. I'll tell you where she is under one condition."

"What's that?" I ask.

"Be my boyfriend."
