I see Tris and Christina walking toward us. "You look beautiful," I tell Tris.

"Thanks," she replies. "And you look handsome."

"Thanks.

"No problem."

It seems like Christina and Uriah have said the same to each other. They kiss, which makes Tris look like she's about to cry again. I kiss her. When I pull away, she looks normal. "I guess my kiss cured your disease," I tease her.

"Have you ever heard of the saying, 'two can play this game'?" Tris asks me.

I'm silent.

"Thought so."

We go to the new restaurant. It's very nice inside. So far, we're all having a good time. We talk, laugh, and enjoy the delicious food.

As we are deciding on what to get for dessert, Uriah asks, "So Christina, when is your birthday?"

"June 14th," she replies. "How about you?"

"September 4th."

"So when are you're birthdays?" Uriah asks Tris and I.

"May 10th," I answer.

Tris is silent for a moment. Then she says, "I'm not sure, but I think Caleb might remember."

"You don't remember your own birthday?" Christina asks her.

"Well in Abnegation, we don't celebrate birthdays," Tris replies.

We all go silent. I totally forgot about that custom because ever since I transferred to Dauntless, I celebrated my birthday. But I just can't believe that she doesn't have her birth date memorized. Even though I never celebrated my birthday in Abnegation, I still knew when it was my birthday.

It's a shame she has never celebrated her birthday before. This gives me an idea. I want to throw her a surprise party, and I have to make sure it's perfect, since it's going to be her very first birthday party.

After our date, I make sure Tris is gone, and I go get everyone to meet me in the lab.
