We're out of the janitor's closet now, and Tris and I go into the dormitory to talk. I tell her about everything that happened when I went back into the city and how my mom chose me over the factions.

"That's great," Tris tells me. "I'm really happy for you."

"Thanks," I say.

"No problem," she replies.

"So Tris, can you please explain to me how Caleb was able to survive in the weapons lab?"

She's silent for a moment. "Well you see," she starts. "I went into the weapons lab instead of him."

"YOU WHAT?!" I yell. "You could've been killed! You promised me you would stop risking your life!"

"I'm sorry," Tris says. "I just couldn't let him die. The only reason why he was willing to go in there was because he felt guilty. And since I'm divergent, I thought there would be a chance that I could survive the serum. But I never wanted to die. Ask Caleb. He's my witness. Caleb!"

Caleb comes into the room instantly. "Yes?" He asks.

"Please tell Tobias what I told you to tell him if I didn't make it."

"Oh yeah. Tris wanted me to tell you that she never wanted to leave you." He tells me.

"So you're telling the truth?" I ask Tris.

"Yes," she replies. "Remember we promised no more lies?"

"Well you did lie to me about eavesdropping on Christina," I say.

"Besides that though, I didn't lie." she says.

"Okay, I believe you," I tell her. "By the way, their is something else you should know too," Tris says. "David's dead."

"Dead?" I ask. "How?"

"Well.....you see.... I killed him," Caleb answers for Tris.

"You what?!" I ask him. "Why?"

"Well because in the weapons lab, he almost shot me," Tris says. "But then he came back for me and saved me."

"Well it's about time he does something right!" I say. "So you guys are made up now?" 

"Yup!" they say together.

"Well, I'm glad you're okay, Tris," I tell her. 

"I'm glad you're okay too," she says.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Then I kiss her. Caleb starts crying.

"Caleb, why are you crying?" Tris asks. 

"You guys are just too romantic!" he exclaims.

"Caleb, I think you have Tris disease," I remark.

"Hey!" Tris exclaims.
