FLASHBACK

THIRD PERSON POV

"What are you gonna do? Call your papa? He's not gonna hear you from here," the guy chuckled loudly as he pushed me to a wall with so much force, it knocked the wind out of me.

It was 5 in the afternoon. And Seokjin was peacefully walking home, and he had his hands in his pockets, and his head down as he dragged his bag on his back. He wanted to go home, since it was the only safe place he wanted to go.

But it was interrupted by the same group of boys who spotted him, and they ran towards him before grabbing his collar and ganging up on him, dragging him somewhere where no one could see them.

"Seokjin, you still haven't given me half of your money! I thought your dad was a rich boy," one guy smirked as he grabbed him by the collar, pulling him closer.

Seokjin didn't want to reply. He was too scared, too terrfied to even speak or look at the guy in the eye. He just waited for his old bruises to be added with new ones.

"Not talking? Is this a new strategy of yours for us to leave you alone? Because it ain't worth it," he said before clenching his fists, and he gave a blow at Seokjin's cheek, sending him to the ground.

Seokjin tried to get up, tears in his eyes as he felt his bag being pulled away from him, and he barely lifts his head up, witnessing the scene in front of him as the four guys dump in all of his books and belongings on the floor.

"Here's his wallet," one of them said as they handed it to the guy who beated him up just now.

"Ten thousand won, disgraceful. Should've gotten twenty while you're at it, rich boy," the guy smirked before throwing the wallet to the floor.

Then, Seokjin's eyes widened a bit as he felt something warm flow down the certain parts of his face.

He reaches his hand out to place his fingers on the part that was warm and numb, and he pulls back for his eyes to see.

Blood.

There was blood dripping down the side of his forehead, and some came from his nose, and it wasn't planning to stop bleeding anytime soon.

The guy approached Seokjin once again, and he pushed him harshly against the wall, making Seokjin cough out some blood from the impact, and be slides down the wall.

The bully raised his leg, placing it down on Seokjin's left chest, stepping on him with a huge force that made Seokjin grasp for air, his eyes widening as his heart was racing through the sole of his shoe that was pressed harshly against his chest.

The bully then takes the tie that was part of his uniform, ans he places it in between his fingers before curling on it, and pulling harshly as Seokjin's upper body bended upwards, trying to get up.

"Poor boy, no one would want you, you're an ugly existence in this world," the guy tutted as he pulled harder, the necktie wrapped around his neck getting tighter.

Seokjin eyes closed shut, he was desperate to take in air for his lungs, it seems like everything was starting to get darker. His surrounding were getting dimmer and his body was getting number.

Is this finally the time?

No one would me anyway. He thought.

"Hey, don't kill him!" He heard someone's faint voice.

He tried to inhale, but it seemed like he was only struggling to be alive now. And the tightening feeling on his throat was getting more and more tighter, blocking air.

SEOKJIN POV

"Hm, he does deserve to die. But at the same time-"

"HEY YOU KIDS! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"

A loud booming voice interrupted us as the bully dropped me at last, taking his shoe off of me and releasing me, and I gasped loudly, panting to myself as I tried to regain back the air in my lungs, putting a hand to my heart.

Th-thank God I'm alive.

But still, it seems like I was born in this world just to kill myself.

I hide in the dark as I try to gather up all my belongings, some of them were already ruined as the boys have trampled upon them when they ran away from the man that was staying near this area.

Luckily, the man didn't see me as I hid, and I sighed in relief as I placed back all my belongings.

I tried to stand up straight, but I groaned in response as my back started aching, and head was struck by a sudden pain, and I groaned as I steadied myself, a hand on my hip as I panted heavily.

I squinted my eyes in pain, trying to get myself out of this area and to start walking back home.

My father at this time was still starting his business. It wasn't that big and it wasn't that small either, but it was only locally-known and hasn't been acknowledged by foreign countries. Which always confused why they called us rich.

So, my father said that I needed to go by car in the morning and walk home by night, since we weren't that rich yet to afford a two cars.

I sighed as I was practically limping the way back home, and I sighed as I looked at the sunset that was almost turning into a dark dusk.

Great, what am I supposed to tell dad now?

I gather up the courage to start another  lie, so he wouldn't have to worry about me even more.

Soon, I reached home, it was a two-storey house and it was decent for a family of four and one guardian, which was me, my mom, my dad, Namjoon, and our nanny, Yeongji, who also works as a maid.

I slowly walk towards the door and I place my fist on the door, knocking tw times before gasping at the pain on my stomach.

A few minutes later, someone opened the door, and a figure stood there.

"Oh no! Seokjin, what happened to you?" Nanny asked as her eyes widened, examining me closely and I sighed before limping my way inside, and dragging myself on the living room couch right beside Namjoon who was reading his book.

"I... fell off the stairs," I said and Yeongji clicked her tongue before crossing her arms.

"You don't have to lie Seokjin, your ears say so, you can tell me anything," Yeongji smiled sadly as she caressed the wounds on my cheek.

"I.... fell off the stairs and got chased by a stray dog," I replied and she sighed deeply.

"You're not ready to say it, aren't you? Always remember I'm here for you, alright? If someone is doing this to you, fight back," Yeongji smiled and I smiled back weakly, and she turned her heel to the first-aid kit.

"Where's mom and dad?" I asked as she came back with the kit.

"Your mom is out of town today, and your dad is here, he'll be down in a minute," Yeongji smiled before opening the kit and taking out some ointment before dabbing some on Seokjin's cheek, and at the same time some tissue for his bleeding nose.

Soon, footsteps came down and Seokjin whipped his head towards the person on the stairs.

"Seokjin? Son! Oh no, what happened to you? This is the second time this week I've seen a bruise on your face!" Dad exclaimed as he approached me quickly, caressing my face as he examined my injuries.

Then, Seokjin's dad engulfed him in a hug, and Seokjin's eyes widened as he felt the warmth of his father, and his father smiled warmly at him, as he joined Namjoon, his younger brother in the small hug they shared.

It was the warmth of a father's genuine love, the encouragement and touch of a father's reassurance towards his son.

If only he knew,

He would miss it so much.
