Gem reader I guess. You'll be around yellow diamonds age.

No one's POV:
Zicron was walking around the building, he had lost his way to finding his partner. After Phos had suggested switching partners up, Zicron was first stuck with Bort but now he was assigned another partner after a few months.

He knew that his partner wouldn't be yellow or Bort, but he couldn't help but wonder who he got stuck with. Usually he would find out right away but all Sensei had said it was a gem named Y/n. He didn't know for sure who Y/n was at all.

Though he heard from Yellow-senpai was that Y/n was around his age. [Yellow Diamonds] Right after hearing that Zicron assumed that they should call Y/n, Y/n-senpai because they were older than him.

Zicron eventually stopped thinking when he felt someone tug at his arm. It was a gem who was a little shorter than himself but this gem had f/c hair. It clicked inside of Zicrons head that Y/n was a female gem. Female gems were sometimes rare.

Y/n was said to be a good fighter and teammate from her past partners. Her past partner was originally Helidor, but after Helidor was taken to the moon Y/n wasn't in sight as much. The only time the gems ever saw her was at meetings in the morning.

[Since Helidor's partner is actually not confirmed yet this works out in a way]

She wasn't depressed, she just needed time to herself. Time to recollect herself mentally. After a couple years she finally came out of her room and started to do patrols, but she started to do patrols alone.

Doing patrols alone is extremely dangerous, even for a strong gem like Bort. That's why the sensei paired Zicron and Y/n together. Another reason was that Y/n had many close calls to being taken by the lunarians.

So it was a better idea to pair her with someone. Even if they weren't her age. Zicron was staring at the gems eyes, who was standing in front of him. She wore the same type of outfit the rest had.

She even had gloves on like Diamond had. She also had bright (g/c/h) that made Zicron wanna pet it. Of course Zicron forced himself to stay where he was and not to pet the seemingly soft (g/c/h).

"So you're Zicron? You have such a cool color! It's a pleasure to be working with you!" Y/n says while shaking Zicrons hand excitedly. Zicron couldn't help but smile nervously at his senpai. The two of them were excited to be working with each other.

~Timeskip~

Still no one's POV:
The older gem streches happily while grabbing her sword. "Hey Zicron get ready! Sunspot sighting" Y/n said with a sweet smile and looks back at the lunarians appearing. Zicron quickly got up and nods while grabbing his weapon.

The music of the lunarians could be heard to them both and they faced the sunspot. The lunarians came out in their normal fancy way and the lunarians got their weapons and arrows ready. They got their bows and arrows ready and started to shoot at the two gems.

The two gems weren't just gonna stand there and take the arrows head on and get cracked. They split up for a second while running and Y/n ran up to Zicron for a boost. Zicron happily gives Y/n a boost to get her up.

[You're basically a diamond hardness in this ok]

Y/n got a good enough boost to get up to the lunarians sunspot and started to slash at them. Zicron was to stay on the ground in case Y/n fell and he could soften her impact.

Y/n had eventually sliced through the weaker lunarians and jumped up to the big middle one. She quickly slashed it and looked inside. It was a normal big lunarian with no secret. In response to finding out Y/n sighs in relief and jumps down.

Zicron gently catches her bridle style while grinning at his senpai. "Senpai you did amazing! I'm glad I could be of service to you!" Zicron says and let Y/n down who was smiling at the gem.

They both went back to the rest of the gems who were doing their normal things. "It was nice to work with you Zicron" Y/n said breaking the silence between her and Zicron.

Zicron felt embarrassed and bowed to Y/n "thank you for taking me under your wings!" Zicron said quickly and nervously. In response Y/n giggles and pets Zicrons hair. "You're adorable Zicron."

Y/n said before leaving Zicron to himself. Zicron was in thought before he realized what had happened and smiles to himself.

They were good partners to say at least.

Ran out of stuff to write. I'm trying to update at least once a week for you guys even if it is only one or multiple one shots.
