12. Starting Fifth Year

Just so you know, I barely remember anything about "The Order Of The Phoenix", so I'm sorry if I miss anything important! I do remember that Umbridge is in it, so I'll definitely include her. I hope you enjoy!

Just a few more days of summer remained and Greta was busy packing up her remaining things for Hogwarts, including as many manga books as she could fit into her suitcase. She was going over to stay at the Weasley's house until school started and Greta was excited. She loved the Weasleys! They all treated her like family and always made sure to make her feel welcome.

"Greta, we're leaving! Hurry up before I get shotgun!" Jade yelled.

"No, you won't!" Greta shouted back. "I'll get shotgun before you!"

She grabbed all of her suitcases and rushed down the stairs as fast as she could.

Jade ended up getting shotgun, which filled Greta with utter disappointment throughout the whole ride to the Weasleys.

"Now, make sure to behave while you're here," Mrs. Clayton instructed when they arrived.

"We will!" Greta and Jade promised. They dragged their suitcases to the front door and Mrs. Weasley opened the door.

"Greta and Jade! Oh, it's so good to see you!" Mrs. Weasley beamed. She scooped Greta into a tight hug.

"It's good to see you too," Greta wheezed.

Jade brought her bags in and was greeted by Ginny, who led Jade to her room.

"Ron, Hermione! Greta's here!" Mrs. Weasley called.

At the sound of Greta's name, Fred and George entered the room.

"We'll, good day, Clayton," they both said. "How's life been treating ya?"

"Same old," Greta replied. "It's great to be back!"

"The pleasure is ours," Fred smiled. Soon, Ron and Hermione ran to where Greta was.

"Hey, guys!" Greta flashed a shy smile.

"You'll never believe what happened!" Ron exclaimed.

"What happened?"

"Harry's been put under trial," Hermione explained. "He used magic outside of school while trying to defend himself from dementors."

Considering that Harry and Greta weren't exactly on good terms, Greta wasn't sure if she felt bad or not.

"That's... horrible," Greta mumbled.

"Hopefully, Harry will be out in no time, with my dad working for the Ministry of Magic, after all" Ron continued.

"Yeah, I hope so too."

Suddenly, Mr. Weasley and Harry stepped out of the fireplace and they were greeted by everyone. Harry had won the trial and had run into Lucius Malfoy afterwards. Greta shrunk down at the mention of Draco's father and decided to not say anything about it. Harry was led to Ron's room, where the four friends spent the night in.

"We're finally back at Hogwarts!" Hermione gushed.

"It surely feels good to be back," Greta agreed. She could hardly wait to see Draco again!

Soon after they took their place at the Gryffindor table in the dining hall, Dumbledore stood behind the podium and announced that a Dolores Umbridge was the new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher.

At first sight, Greta could already tell that she wasn't going to like Professor Umbridge. However, she had to admit that she liked her pink dress.

"Hem, hem!" Umbridge took over for Dumbledore. "Thank you, Headmaster for those kind words of welcome. Well, it is lovely to be back at Hogwarts, I must say! And to see such happy little faces looking back at me."

Nobody appeared to be happy, which Greta completely understood. It had been about two minutes and she already hated Umbridge.

"I am very much looking forward to getting to know you all, and I'm sure we'll be very good friends. The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards to be of vital importance. The rate gifts with which you were born may come to nothing if not nurtured and honed by careful instruction..."

Greta couldn't even listen to her entire speech. It was incredibly boring and Umbridge's voice was becoming too much to handle.

"... because since changes will be for the better, while others will come, in the fullness of time, to be recognized as errors of judgement. Meanwhile, some old habits will be retained, and rightly so, whereas others, outmoded and outworn, must be abandoned. Let us move forward, then, into a new era of openness, effectiveness, and accountability, intent on preserving what ought to be preserved, perfecting what needs to be perfected, and pruning whatever we find practices that ought to be prohibited."

(Umbridge's lines here are from the book.)

Once some of the students started clapping, Greta snapped out of her trance.

Finally! She's done!

"Something's not right," Hermione observed.

"What do you mean?" Ron asked.

"The Ministry is interfering with Hogwarts," Hermione clarified.

After figuring out the new password, Greta decided to go back to the Gryffindor common room on her own. She liked having the hallway to herself for a little while. That is, until she felt someone wrap their arms around her shoulders from behind her.

"Hello, Greta. Did you miss me?" Draco said softly. Greta turned around and returned the hug.

"Draco! It's so great to see you again," Greta bubbled. She hugged Draco as tight as she could without hurting him. Draco did the same and kissed Greta's forehead.

"I feel the same way," Draco hummed. "I can't wait to spend more time together. Now that I'm a prefect, I'll make sure that we won't get in trouble."

"Congratulations!" Greta snuggled deeper into Draco's chest.

"Thank you."

"What are your thoughts on Umbridge? Annoying, right?"

"Oh, yeah! Big time. I'm just hoping that she doesn't ever talk to me."

Greta laughed. "Same here."

Coming from the hallway right of the one they were in, a voice kept calling out Draco's name.

"I have to go. I'm sorry! We'll meet up at the astronomy tower at midnight , right?" Draco offered.

"Yeah, definitely! I can't wait."

Draco and Greta shared a quick kiss before Draco had to leave. Greta then decided it would be best to head back to her common room as well.

When midnight finally came, Greta had to be extra cautious about leaving the Gryffindor common room. She had always feared being caught breaking the rules, so she panicked when she accidentally ran into someone.

"Greta, calm down! It's me, Draco," Draco whispered.

Greta squeezed Draco's hand as he led her outside and up to the top of the astronomy tower.

"I'm so glad we made it," Draco sighed.

"Yeah, me too."

Greta gripped onto the railing of the tower tightly as she admired the view. Draco joined her.

"The stars sure are beautiful tonight, aren't they?" Greta gushed.

"Not as beautiful as you," Draco remarked.

Greta faced Draco, her face burning bright red. "You don't mean that."

Draco brought Greta closer to him. "I do. I really do."

"Well, I think you're very handsome," Greta smirked. She held his hand gently.

"Thank you," Draco laughed. "You mean everything to me."
