11. A Night To Ourselves
The end of the previous chapter is where I left off in my fanfiction, which means that I actually have to use my brain for this one and the remaining chapters. Yay! I hope you've all been enjoying this book so far!
By the time Greta and Draco had finished roller skating, the sun was already setting.
"Do you want to go out for dinner maybe?" Draco asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I'd love to," Greta smiled.
She wrapped her arm around Draco's and she led him to an Italian restaurant that they had passed by earlier. They found a table, placed their orders, and waited.
Finally, after several minutes of awkward silence, Greta finally spoke up.
"Do you want people to know about us?" Greta whispered.
Draco turned his head towards Greta. "Sorry, I couldn't hear you."
"Do you want people to know about us?" Greta repeated.
"What do you mean?"
"We're in the two houses that have the biggest rivalry, and I'm wondering if people would be against us being together." Greta shifted her eyes towards the table. Soon, she felt a pair of soft hands gently squeezing her own hands.
"Hey, we don't have to tell the others if you don't want to. We could wait a while before saying anything, if that makes you feel more comfortable."
"Are you sure?"
Draco nodded. "Absolutely."
The waitress returned with their food, then left. Draco twirled his spaghetti on his fork.
"You know, I've never tried this before," Draco admitted (I tried to swipe-type his name and it came out as "sexy" the first time. I can't-). "Maybe you could taste test for me?"
His expression was pleading in the flirty type of way, which made Greta's heart skip a beat.
"Y-yeah," she replied. Draco held out his fork and allowed Greta to taste it. "It's really good! You should try it."
Draco's eyes lit up. "Really? That's great!" He ate around half of his plate when he noticed that Greta hadn't eaten much. "Aren't you gonna eat your pizza?"
Meanwhile, Greta's entire face was beet red. He really accepted the fact that we just had an indirect kiss!!
"Why is your face red?" Draco smirked. "Did I do something to embarrass you?"
"N-no, not really. I'm just trying to get over the indirect kiss..."
Draco laughed. "We've already had our first kiss though!"
"I know! I don't know why I'm getting so worked up about it."
"You're adorable, you know that?"
Greta blushed an even deeper shade of red. "Th-thank you."

Later that night, Mrs. Claytoh pulled up beside the Dunkin Donuts, where Draco and Greta were standing.
"You want us to give you a ride home?" Greta offered.
Draco nodded. "Um, yeah! S-sure."
In truth, he felt nervous about meeting Greta's mom. He had never interacted with families who weren't fully pure blood, so he wasn't sure how she would react with him.
Greta poked her head through the passenger seat window. "Hey, Mom, can we give Draco a ride home?"
"Sure! I don't see why not. Come on in."
Greta led Draco to the back seat and they sat next to each other, hoping that Mrs. Clayton wouldn't mind.
As they were driving to Malfoy Manor, Greta and Draco couldn't help but feel awkward about riding in the same car as her mother.
Finally, Mrs. Clayton broke the ice
"So, how do you guys know each other?"
"Well, we're in the same year," Greta began. "We've ran into each other several times."
"What house are you in, Draco?"
"Slytherin," Draco stated.
"I can see a Slytherin vibe coming off of you. Not in a bad way, of course! I have a friend who was in Slytherin."
"Really? You never told me," Greta said.
"Oh, yeah. It was one of my sisters, and I consider her one of my closest friends," Mrs. Clayton explained.
"Ah, that makes sense." Greta nodded.
"Do I know your parents?"
"Um, Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, Ma'am," Draco said softly.
"The Malfoys? That would explain a lot. You look just like your father."
"Thank you."
Soon, they pulled up to the entrance to Malfoy Manor and Draco stepped out of the car.
"Thank you for the ride, Mrs. Clayton." Draco bowed respectfully.
"Please, call me Audrey," Mrs. Clayton smiled. "I bet I'll be seeing you around then."
"Y-yeah."
"See you later, Draco! I'll make sure to write to you," Greta promised.
"Bye!" Draco waved as Mrs. Clayton pulled the car into the road.
"He seems like a nice kid," Mrs. Clayton commented.
"Yeah, he is."

As soon as Greta woke up the next morning, she rushed to her window and saw Draco's owl resting outside her windowsill. She opened the window and carefully removed a letter from the owl's beak and opened it. The letter read:
Dear Greta,
I had a wonderful time last night and I'm so glad that we got to spend some time together this summer. You are truly amazing and beautiful, and I hope you remember that.
Love,
Draco
Greta tried her hardest not to squeal excitedly as she wrote a reply letter. Once she had finished, she sent the owl back to Malfoy Manor with a peck on the head.
She couldn't wait to see Draco again.

I'm sorry that this chapter was lazy! I just couldn't figure out what to write for this one. Just gotta get in a little filler before 5th year. Anyway, regardless of how short this chapter is, I hope you all enjoyed it 😄
