Talking to dragons - Part 2 - Criston x Reader
Again, italics are supposed to be High Valyrian.
The dragon wranglers stared at the man in disbelief, as he made his way over to them. No one but the dragon riders normally dare come down to the pits. The dragons were more than happy to incinerate anyone or anything that didn't belong. Yet here he was. Though at least he was looking suitably scared.
"What are you doing here..........? What do you want...............?" The older wrangler enquired abruptly, as he quickly made his way over to where the man stood.
"I am Ser Cole.........a Kingsguard.............."
"Yes, yes. I am not interested in what or who you are, only why you are here. Do you wish for death...............?" The wrangler retorted, doing his best to usher the man away.
"Princess (Y/n). Is she here...............?"
"The princess is here, yes. She has been here for some time. She is with her dragon, Naga............." The wrangler replied, as Criston refused to move and stood his ground.
"I...........I need to see her..................."
"As I said, she is with her dragon. There is no place safer for the princess in the Seven Kingdoms than by Naga's side." The wrangler explained, as he and Criston looked down to the entrance of the pit.
"That might be the case. But I still have to see her. She is my charge, and I must make sure that she is well." Criston explained. The Kingsguard doing his best to steal himself. To make it look as though the notion of entering the pits wasn't quite the most terrifying thing.
The wrangler watched him. It was quite obvious that the Kingsguard had no intention of going anywhere. But letting him into the pit, could be tantamount to a death sentence. Yet what was he to do................
"I am going in there." Criston stated, no longer having any intention of waiting. The dragon wranglers only able to watch, as the Kingsguard disappeared.

Criston stopped as he heard a sound. A sound that he was sure was sweeter, softer, more perfect than anything else that he had ever heard before. To him, it sounded like a lullaby. A song that a mother would sing to a child. And even though he had to admit that he couldn't understand a word that was being sung, it was obvious that the person that was singing, was happy. That they loved whoever, or whatever they were singing for.
Slowly, he began to move again. Carefully and as quietly as he possibly could, making his way further into the darkness. The Kingsguard only halting, as he finally saw the owner of the voice. As he finally caught sight of the woman that he had come to find. His eyes growing wide, as he spied (Y/n) sat on the stone floor amongst the dragons. The great beast appearing to be slumbering peacefully as the glorious sound filled the vast expanse.
Without thinking, Criston moved forward. There was a strange kind of serenity about the scene that was lulling him into a false sense of security. The Kingsguard forgetting about the danger. About the possibility of being incinerated by one, if not all of the great beasts. The sight of (Y/n). Her beautiful voice calling to him, like some kind of siren drawing him to his doom. His heart racing at a pace as he took in the beauty of the lady. Her hand softly, slowly brushing across the scales of the dragon that lay closest to her. The beast reminding him of some giant hound that lay dutifully by its master's side.
Yet in a moment, the scene had changed. The serenity gone, to be replaced with fear and the idea of death, as Criston's hand, which he had allowed to ghost along the hewn stone, caught on a lose rock. The piece falling to the floor, its sudden thud on the ground, breaking the peace. The princess turning and looking at him in disbelief. The gigantic beast by her side, and the others that surrounded her, all raising to their full heights. The Kingsguard closing his eyes and waiting for his inevitable demise, as the dragons let out a roar.

"NO!" The princess called out. Jumping to her feet so that she could stand in front of the dragons. Naga and the others reluctantly heeding the command. Still grumbling and growing menacingly, at the trembling man that had dared to make his way into their domain.
"He's a friend..........He means you no harm............." (Y/n) continued. Doing her best to placate the creatures. Holding up her hands as she tried to draw their attention back to her.
"He has just come to find me. He has not come to hurt me...........to hurt you. All of you go and find somewhere else to rest. I will come and find you again later." The Targaryen assured. The other dragons letting out a huff before turning and making their way out into the dark expanse. Only Naga not moving. The great grey beast continuing to glare at the man in armour.
"Naga..........go.............!"
"Naga...................!" The lady sighing, as Naga refused to leave her side. Actually, moving his tail so that it lay protectively in front of her.
"Fine............Just don't hurt him.............." (Y/n) sighed again, before slowly making her way over to where Criston stood. His eyes still firmly closed.

He had been able to feel the heat. Yet Criston had not been able to hear anything over the frantic pounding of his heart and the sound of his blood rushing through his ears. He had fought in battles, faced many a foe, yet nothing he had seen, or experienced, was a frightening as the steely glare of dragons.
Suddenly he felt something. It wasn't the fire that he was expecting. The brief, excruciating pain that he would experience before he was turned to ash. No, this, this was soft. It was pleasantly warm. It was gentle, as it rested on his cheek. The Kingsguard slowly and hesitantly opening his eyes. The breath catching in his throat as he saw the beauteous Targaryen smiling at him. Her hand resting delicately on his face.
"My.............my lady. I...................."
"Its alright, Ser Cole. Now, tell me. Would you like to meet a dragon.........?"
