In dragon's clothing - Part 7 - Daemon x Reader

Deamon looked out over the stretch of water, as the capital and Blackwater Bay got closer. He should never have agreed to (Y/n)'s condition that he would not ride Caraxes back to Kings Landing. It was one thing to say yes to him not displaying her as if she had been some great capture; to not tell other what she was. But for him to return to the capital not riding his own dragon, well, that would not be so easy to explain away. Yet at the time, as this most beautiful of creatures had sat before him, illuminated by the many candles and the small fire that warmed his tent, he hadn't been able to think of much more than wanting to fuck her, and what it could mean if he were to take her for his own; what he could do, what he could achieve if this woman, who could turn into a dragon, would agree to be his wife. What their children, and their children's children could be. Yet as he looked up at the two dragons, it seemed to him that the only one that might get to call (Y/n) theirs, was Caraxes. The prince crossing his arms firmly over his chest, as the two creatures flew past the ship and towards Kings Landing. The exquisite black dragon letting out huge fiery blast as she and his blood wyrm swooped across the docks and then flew up to and over the Sept and the Red Keep. It seeming to Daemon that despite the fact that she didn't want it revealed what she actually was, (Y/n) still wanted to show all those in the city, what she was capable of. And even though he hated to do it, he couldn't help but smile.

                                                        >>----------------------------------<<

Those on the docks watched as the ship moved closer. Daemon's trip to discover and capture the dragon that had been said to have taken up residence on the Stepstones, had taken far longer than anyone would have thought. Yet given that the princes' great blood wyrm was currently flying high above the ship, with a smaller, pitch-black dragon next to it, it was obvious that the mission had been successful. But as the king looked, he couldn't help but furrow his brows, as he noticed that his brother was not on the back of Caraxes. That the red dragon was riderless. Viserys knowing that unless something had happened to Daemon, then he would always be with Caraxes. The king feeling a nervousness growing inside him, as he thought on the fate of his brother, as he feared for his wellbeing. Yet as he and the members of his small council continued to watch the ship of the Velaryon Fleet get bigger and bigger, he couldn't fail to see the flash of long white hair that was caught by the brisk wind that whipped around the capital. The king able to see from the corner of his eye, that Otto appeared to be as confused about the situation as he was. Yet questions as to why Daemon was not with Caraxes, and how the prince had managed to capture the new dragon, would have to of course wait. The entire contingency that had come down from the Keep, including Viserys, ducking as the two great beasts flew at speed towards the docks and over their heads, then made their way up to the towering peaks of the Sept and Red Keep. The new dragon, letting out steady streams of flames, before it and Caraxes twisted together, becoming little more than a blur of red and black, as they flew up into the sky. The pair suddenly separating and circling the city, before Daemon's dragon, appeared to lead the smaller one, right towards the dragon pit.

                                                         >>----------------------------------<<

The ship finally docked; Viserys stepping forward, as his brother made his way down the gangplank. Daemon had done his best to come up with something to explain away the fact that he had not been riding Caraxes; the reasons that it had taken him so long to capture the dragon that he had gone after. Yet no matter what, there was no real way of explaining (Y/n), other than by revealing her secret. Of telling his brother that he had been gone for so long, because the black dragon had been able to outsmart him at every turn. So, all he would say was that he had had to wait for the beast. That they had had to remain on the spit of land, for the dragon to come back to its den. His men already warned not to breath a word of what they had seen before they had left the Stepstones. Though he would prefer that the explanations could wait for later; for at this moment, all he wanted to do was get to the pits and speak with (Y/n).

"Daemon.........."

"Your majesty........." The prince replied to his brother, bowing slightly, as he did his best to ignore the presence of Otto and the other members of his brother's small council.

"It would appear that you were successful. The dragon.........."

"Yes, she is quite the specimen. And if you would allow me, I would like to go and check on her and Caraxes........" Daemon interrupted, bowing once more to his brother, before quickly making his way along the docks.
