04 - halloween part one
Parker smiled at Ben as she rocked back and forth. Ben had been trying to get the truth out of the Langdon siblings as to why they were in his house.
"Ben, Violet hadn't been answering my calls, nor did she notice me throwing rocks at her window. I noticed the door was unlocked and completely, uncommon in this neighbourhood, especially this house. I heard screaming, I came to help, found Tate inside too."
"Parker, I can't treat you if you're just going to walk into my house as you feel."
"No, Ben, please, you're the only one that's ever helped, in all my years of being in and out of therapy, you're the only one that has helped, please. Please, I'm starting to understand it all." Parker begged, stoping herself from rocking as she stared at Ben with desperate eyes. "I feel safe here, I don't like anyone else, I don't like it when they talk to me, they're all patronising and they're creepy. All of them were. I've only ever allowed myself to open up to you."
Ben took a deep breath. "Parker, I'll keep treating you, if you promise that you'll back of a bit from my daughter."
Parker looked at him for a bit, considering her options. "How far back?"
"Far enough that you too can be friends with out having your heart broken if we move far away."
Parker nodded pushing herself out of her chair and holding out her pinkie. Ben looked at her, before wrapping his own pinkie around hers.
"I promise." Little did Ben know, Parker Langdon had her fingers crossed behind her back.

Parker laughed as her and Violet danced around the room, arms wrapped around each other and bodies pressed close. The duo could feel each others breath fanning their face.
"The moon light is so pretty on you, darling." Parker whispered, looking at Violet's hazel eyes.
Violet smiled softly at her.
The dancing had come to a stop as they stood, looking at one another as though they were the only thing worthy of life.
"You're pretty gorgeous too, you know?"
Parker laughed lightly, as the music played softly in the background. Her hands left Violet's hips, slowly making their way to the girls face. She placed her lips on to Violet's — barely thinking as she did so.
Violet hadn't hesitated to kiss back, her hands finding the hem of Parker's over sized shirt and working their way to the girls cold soft skin. Parker shuddered under the touch as Violet began to push her over to the bed.
The kiss wasn't soft and delicate, it was filled with desperation, lust and passion.
"This ok?" Violet asked, barely breaking away as she spoke against Parker's lips.
Parker kissed Violet again, before pulling her head back the smallest bit. "Yes."

Valerie sat on her sisters bed, her 'The Curious Incident Of The Dog And The Night-Time' in her arms as she read.
The sisters were in silence whilst Violet looked at herself in the mirror. The sisters filled the silence with small comments, laughing at each other.
Rustling under the bed caused the duo to stop.
Violet looked at Valerie — of whom had gone stiff.
Valerie placed down her book as Violet stepped closer to the bed, the two on their way to find out what was under the bed. The sisters went to move the blanket, but a hand grabbed Violet's ankle, causing them to scream.
Violet jumped back and Valerie did so to.
"Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat." Adelaide said, sliding out from under the bed.
"Addy, it's just Addy." Valerie sighed, placing a hand over her chest to try and smooth the rapid beat of her heart.
Addy stood up, looking at the sisters that stood next to each other. "I want to be a pretty girl for Halloween."
"You are a pretty girl." Valerie stated.
"No. No, I want to be like you and Violet."
Violet and Valerie looked at each other, assessing each other over. It was fair to say the two were fairly different.
From Violet's more 'edgy' style and Valerie more 'feminine' look.
Much like music, Valerie wasn't into one particular category of clothes, she simply wore what she felt comfortable in that day — which for the most part was jeans and a top of jumper, today it was her skirt and white vest top and a yellow cardigan, with a dainty jewellery decorated her body.
The sisters nodded.
"Take a seat, Miss Adelaide, we are going to make you the Harmon of your dreams." Valerie joked.
The sisters got to work, keeping Adelaides natural features but simply adding colour to her eyelids — and swatting one another out of the way.
"We're actually not that good." Violet pointed out.
"I don't care, I like it."
"You trust us to much." Valerie chuckled softly as she brushed through Adelaide's hair, being careful not to tug or hurt her.
Addy went to look but Violet stopped her in order to carry on.
"How old are you, Addy?"
"A lady never reveals her age." Addy said, chuckling slightly at her words.
Valerie smiled down at her in amusement as she placed down the grey hairbrush and placed on a headband for Addy's hair.
Upon being finished, Valerie took a seat on her sister's bed, wrapping her arms around one of her legs.
"Is Parker your girlfriend, Violet?" Addy asked.
"You know Parker?"
"I talk to her and Tate when they come here for their head shrinking." Addy said. "Parker likes you, I can tell, she thinks you're the prettiest girl in the world."
It was true. Addy did speak the truth on her younger sisters behalf. It wasn't just what Addy could tell, but also the way Parker spoke about Violet to her.
Violet looked at Addy, trying to make sure she was saying the truth as s smirk brushed her lips.
Addy then turned to look at Valerie.
"Is Tate your boyfriend?"
"I don't know." Valerie shrugged.
"He thinks you're a pretty girl, too."
If there was one thing Valerie loved, it was being complemented. She smiled brightly, tucking some hair behind her ears.
"Are you both virgins?"
"I don't know." Valerie answered.
"No." Violet said at the same time.
"Aren't you?" The sisters asked Addy.
"Hell no."
"Fair enough." Valerie laughed lightly, letting go of her leg and lying back on the bed.
Violet stood in front of Addy taking in the make up. "You can't keep breaking into our house, Addy." She said, picking up a powder brush.
"But I like it here, my friends are here."
Valerie lifted her head up to share a confused look with Violet. They were both fairly confused who the friends were meant to be.
Addy got a look at herself in the mirror. "Wow! Violet, Valerie, I'm beautiful!"
Addy looked at the sisters and they smiled softly at her, finding joy in her happiness.

"Tate?" Valerie called, making her way down the basement stairs. Her hand on the banister to keep herself stable incase she miss placed her step for wearing heeled boots.
Valerie was in the process of wearing in her boots, which lead to her her wearing them a lot — leading to blisters that the black tights didn't stop her from getting.
"Tate, you said you wanted to meet." She called out. "In my basement, which totally isn't weird." She was off the stairs, eyes glancing around. "Please hurry up, because my room was warm, the basement? Not so much."
She turned around to walk to the other half off the basement.
She came face to face with someone in a latex kink suit. "Uhm." Was all she could muster out as she froze.
A hand was placed over her mouth, she tried desperately to fight it off as she was shoved against the wall.
A laugh interrupted her panic.
"Cunt." She uttered out, placing a hand over her over reactive heart as Tate unzipped the head part of the suit. Heavy breaths left her mouth as she tried to calm herself down.
"I scared you." He teased.
"You are such a twat and no you didn't." She stated, a breathy laugh leaving her red painted lips. "Where the fuck did you find this, I swear dad threw something like this out."
"Finders keepers." Tate said before leaning forward, placing his lips on hers. Valerie kissed back, slightly hesitant — but happily surprised that the action hadn't brought her back to the worst night of her life. "Really? I didn't scare you?"
"Nope. I listen to true crime, and watch horror films to help me fall asleep." She pointed out. "Gonna have to try harder."
"I bet I can." Tate said, pressing his lips to hers again.
Valerie smiled slightly, leaning closer to him.

Parker stood looking out of Violet's window, rolling her head to the side as Violet placed her head on her shoulder and her arms around the Langdon girl's waist.
"It's beautiful night, darling."
"Not nearly as beautiful as the sight from the other night."
Parker giggled, her cheeks barely tinted red. "Oh, shush." Violet laughed softly, placing a kiss to the base of Parker's neck, before coming to stand next to her. "I'm topping next time." Parker told her, taking Violet's hand and pulling her over to the bed.
"So there will be a next time?" Violet teased.
Parker scoffed slightly, as the due got into the bed, wrapped up in one another's arms. "What are you doing Halloween?"
"Nothing."
"We should go on a date, I want to take you to my favourite place."

Tate lit a red candle after getting out of the latex suit. "You have to put you fingers on the other side."
"Ouija boards are bullshit, Tate, it's simply the pressure of everyone else subconsciously moving it and deciding it's a ghost or a demon or whatever else they believe."
"Charles is going to answer all you questions. He used to live here." Tate told her, cutting of Valerie's dismissal of ghosts.
"Is Charles gonna tell me what happened to those dickheads that tried to kill my family and I?" Valerie questioned, getting off the steps and coming to take a seat opposite Tate. "What did you and Parker do to them?
"I told you I didn't do anything, we had some help."
"Right."
Tate took Valerie's hands.
Her rope burns were healed, after having dealt with the incident roughly a month or so prior to Halloween eve.
Tate placed her fingers on the triangle, along with his own.
"What's in this basement?" Valerie asked. "And, truth please."
Tate stared down, considering his words for her. "What I'm about to tell you mighty scares you—" Valerie took her hands of the board and placed her hands in her lab, her fingers playing with the hem of her skirt. "—to death."
"I'm a big girl, Tate, I can handle it."
Tate stared at Valerie as she looked at him with a raised brow, awaiting for him to start.
"Doctor Charles Montgomery built this house. And here in this basement is where he worked. Charles was a doctor to the stars, but he was also a drug addict, and his wife Nora easy gonna let that get in the way of her lifestyle. So she ate up a little secret side business; he would take care of girls who didn't want to be in trouble anymore. This went on and on until one day, one girl couldn't keep the secret to herself, and she told her boyfriend what happened. The boyfriend wanted revenge, so he kidnapped Charles' and Nora's baby. Terrified, the Doctor and his with wished for the ransom demands. Driven insane by grief, the doctor used all his experience and surgical skills to try and cheat death. But what he created was ungodly, and monstrous. And even after their tragic end, that 'thing' remained down here, to this day."
Tate stared at Valerie, expecting her to be a lot more distressed.
Valerie blindness at him unamused at her boyfriend. "I don't believe anything you just said, after the ungodly monster."
Valerie pushed herself of the floor, patting down her skirt and making sure no dust had ruined her look. "I'm fed up off meeting in our basement, can't we go on a proper date, like out and about?" She questioned leaning on the banister as she stared at the latex suit Tate had scared her with — not that he needed to know.
Tate got up quickly. "All right." He said, coming to stand in front of her. He took a hold of her arms. "Tomorrow night, we'll go out." The sounds of footsteps caused a gasp to leave Tate's lips. "Your father agreed to see me but I'm not supposed to be here."
Valerie chuckled in amusement as Tate let go off her arms. She stepped over to the candles and Ouija board. "Goodbye, possible demon." She stated, before blowing the flames out.
Valerie made her way back to Tate, taking his hands. "Come on, I'll be your lookout."

Violet laid on her bed, flicking through her book as she nodded her head to the beat of her music. She turned up her music upon hearing her sisters music interrupt her headphones
Violet scoffed and rolled onto her back, allowing her music to be the only thing she heard.
If only Valerie and Violet had their music on quiet, maybe just maybe, poor Adelaide would be alive.
≪•◦ ❈ ◦•≫
Silence had soon taken over the house as the sisters stayed in each other's company, reading as they laid together. The duo shared comments about their separate books.
The girls were on Valerie's new bed. It was nothing like the bed she got raped in, instead it had no way of her being tied to it and had no reminder of her past. She liked her new bed, it didn't spark up to many memories — and when they did come they weren't from her bed.
The doorbell interrupted their comfort.
They both got of Valerie's bed — the old sister taking out a pocket knife from her drawers that were either side of her new bed — and made their way down the stairs as the ringing of the bell got more and more consistent, along with knocking.
"My tenant Ben, I want my money!"
Valerie and Violet glanced at each other, as they took quicker yet softer steps.
"I'm not leaving here till I have my thousand dollars!"
Valerie glanced through the peep hole, finding a particularly angry man shouting at them and then some children. She leaned back, mouthing for Violet to call there father.
Violet informed Ben of the situation before grabbing her sisters upper arm and pulling her further back. She ended the call.
"Keep the door locked, don't call the police." Violet whispered, directly in Valerie's ears.
Valerie nodded.
"Is that your daughters?" The angry man asked in a whisper.
Violet's hand slipped from Valerie's arm and into her hand. Valerie tugged her sister closer, in caution. She wrapped her arms around her. If they go down, they go together.
"We're safe." Valerie whispered, as Violet placed her head against Valerie's collar bone. "We have to be."
