Chapter 4
It's edible I swear!

After dropping off Monika's clothes, I head back to my room to grab my own clothes. Charcoal gray long sleeve shirt I always prefer to wear long sleeve shirts, people ask fewer questions that way.  A pair of black cargo pants, that should do. I head upstairs to use one of the other showers. I'd rather not have any "accidents" resulting in a pissed off Monika.

Once I've handled the standard morning routine I make my way back into the basement apartment I've been staying in while sorting the old man's belongings. Checking my watch its just now eight fifteen. I've got most of the day ahead of me, so I can probably get most of the necessities taken care of at least.

What do you feed a chick that just magically fell through your pc...?  I'm digging through the cupboards looking to see if there is anything I can put together with my limited cooking expertise. Ok just stop and think for a minute..I close my eyes tallying up each item I actually have and what I can do with what I have. That could work..sides I think its my only option really..

House special! Peanut butter and jelly french toast. I pronounce while placing the plate down in front of Monika. Shes cutting me the most adorably dubious look.

If shes gonna be this cute about it, maybe I should mess with her more often..  

I pour a couple of cups of coffee and take a seat at the kitchen bar, thinking. I can only really cook about a dozen things. Least its edible..I can manage that much at least.

I look at Monika one more time. Is this because of the eggs? I wasn't really sure seeing as you said you were a vegetarian in the game and all, but I was pretty sure that vegetarians could eat eggs?

Monika looks at me smiling. Oh that's not it, the eggs are fine...I was just wondering if you had any silverware to ya'know eat with..

Nice move there Chris.. I grab her a fork knife and spoon. Setting them down in front of her I realize. Shes laughing at me. Monika's shining green eyes are sparkling as she contains her laughter. I let out a long sigh. I don't exactly get a lot of company, please forgive my horrid manners ma'lady. I bow, tipping my invisible hat.

Monika having failed to contain her laughter thus far simply gives up and starts laughing. A sweet musical laughter escapes her, the kind you would see tv. You know you are just too cute when you're flustered.

I've got no witty retort or comeback.. Jus..just eat already its gonna get cold.

She looks at her plate dubiously again before gingerly taking a bite.Oh..oh wow this is actually really good. Its all peanut buttery and soft and super sweet. It taste like, way better than it loo.. Monika quickly catches herself and looks away with an embarrassed smile on her face.

You know what Monika? I'm just gonna let that little comment slide..So once you're done eating we should get your clothes washed and head into the city, somehow I doubt you are gonna wanna wear my over sized stuff all the time. I point at the white sweatshirt and gray sweatpants she was struggling to manage.

I think i'll be doing shorter more frequent chapters from now on.  Its a lot easier to find a closing point if I'm not checking my word count and just letting shit flow..yafeelme?

I've also thought about maybe doing some flashback chapters kinda "outside" the main story. Might be a good way to throw in more back story without having to write it into the main story.
