~House Of Secrets~

Alfie was walking into the kitchen to grab some sausages, and some ice-cream from the freezer. He put the sausages on a plain white plate and put four big spoonfuls of chocolate ice-cream on top. Alfie was thinking of a new name for his delicious goodness when all of a sudden KT's face popped into the kitchen.

He jumped, "KT, don't scare me like that. Anyway, look what I made," he said smiling, holding the plate up to KT's face. "It's called a," he thought for a second, "An Ice-Sage!!" he exclaimed, happy he had come up with a suitable name for his new invention.

"Um, Alfie? That doesn't look like the best mix for sausages. Why don't you try tomato sauce instead?" she said nervously, pushing the plate away from her face..

"Nonsense," he said as he tipped the plate up into his mouth.

But instead of going into his mouth, all the ice-cream and sausages fell onto his face. Splat!

"Oh Alfie, some people just never change" KT sighed, shaking her head.

"Oh well," he shrugged his shoulders and continued to lick all the food off himself.

"Ewww, Alfie, ever heard about personal hygiene? Anyway, the reason I came here was because Eddie called a Sibuna meeting."

"What time?" Alfie mumbled, his mouth full of sausage.

"Erm.. He didn't actually make one," she frowned, "Just go to his room now." She looked up at Alfie's head and trailed down to his feet. "Maybe wash your face first?" she suggested.

"Okay," he shrugged his shoulders and ran off to the boys bathroom.

Alfie finished cleaning his face and looked down at his body in the mirror. He frowned, ignored it and walked out of the bathroom over to Eddie and Fabian's room. When he arrived he saw Eddie, Amber, KT, Nina, Fabian and Jerome already in the room.

"Why is Jerome here?" his eyes widened.

"He needs to be here, he's part of the reason we called Sibuna back together," KT said.

"Where's Trixie then?" he automatically asked.

"Sh-she um-" Eddie started.

"She's not coming today," Amber cut him off.

"Why?"

"Because she needed to go-," Eddie stammered.

"It's none of your business where she is," Amber interrupted coldly.

Alfie was going to leg that remark slide, but he decided that for once, he should stand up for himself.

"Are you still mad at me? I don't know what I did wrong!" Alfie used his hand while he spoke.

But before Amber was given he opportunity to retort, KT put her foot down.

"Guys, I don't know what your going on about, but please leave it for now. We're hear to discuss something important. So whatever it is, ignore it for now, and get back in the room!" She said loudly, standing up from Eddie's bed, which she was sitting on.

"Okay then. So, what's this meeting about?" Alfie asked, as KT sat back down.

"Well, apparently Jerome and Joy found a familiar face today while out in the woods," Eddie said mysteriously.

"Wait, so why isn't Joy here then?" Alfie asked.

"We thou-" Eddie started.

"Will you two be quiet, we're trying to listen to Jerome's story," Amber shushed.

"Sorry," the both murmured.

"So...who was it Jerome?" Nina asked, speaking for the first time since the meeting began.

"Vera," Jerome said solemnly.

"Vera!?" everyone except Eddie, KT, Jerome and Amber gasped in unison.

Suddenly everyone started to shout. They all wanted to know how, where, why. Alfie was one of those people to do so, before they all got shut up by Amber agin.

"Maybe if you let Jerome finish his story, you might actually get some answers," Amber warned them.

"Thank you Amber," Jerome nodded courteously towards her before continuing. "It was after Joy and I left Amber, Alfie and Patricia, in the woods."

"When was this?" Fabian asked out of the blue.

Alfie had completely forgotten he was in the room, and by the looks on everyone's faces after he had spoken, so had they. Alfie had just noticed Fabian hadn't been acting like himself today. Maybe he was having girl problems, like himself. He came to the conclusion it must've been Nina and Mara fighting over him. Poor dude. Alfie was sympathising with his theoretical version of Fabian, when his train of thought was interrupted by Jerome.

"At about...maybe, just after 7:00, I suppose," Jerome answered. "Anyway, Joy heard a noise and we found her unconscious, no blood or anything. But she was holding this..." Jerome pulled a necklace with a huge, silver snake charm on it, out of his pocket.

"Ha-hang on," Fabian chimed in, taking the necklace from Jerome, "I heard a noise in the woods too..."

"Me too," Nina agreed.

"But that was just-" Fabian began.

"No, I heard one before that," Nina said before Fabian could tell the full story.

"I heard one too," Alfie said.

"Ya, so did I," Amber added, "Before Alfie came...," she trailed off.

"Right...so...do you guys think it was Vera?" Eddie asked suspiciously.

"Well, when I looked there was nothing there," Nina pointed out, "but I didn't look very well, so for all I know, it could've been."

"Now, unlike the rest of you, I actually saw someone," Alfie stole the spotlight from Nina. "Jerome, you heard me say it to Willow, didn't you?"

"Yeah, I did," Jerome said, "but didn't you say it was a man?"

"Yes. Which means it couldn't be Vera. I think he was spying on us." Alfie replied.

"Why would he do that though?" Amber frowned.

"Do you think we know them?" Fabian said, sitting up excitedly.

"Well...maybe...what if it was..." Eddie trailed off without finishing@.

"What?" KT asked, "What if it was who, Eddie?"

"Nothing. It's stupid. Forget that I said anything." He dismissed.

"No. Tell us what you were going to say Eddie!" Nina retorted.

"Okay, fine," he gave in, "Well...What if it was...Victor...?"

~~~~~
The whole room fell into silence, as everyone considered Eddie's statement. At first it seemed a little far fetched, but Jerome soon got used to the idea that it could very well be true. But why would Victor want to come back and spy on them? He hated 'kids', especially this particular group.
"You don't think it could be, do you?" Amber asked.
"I dunno...it's possible," Eddie shrugged his shoulders.
"Well, maybe...Alfie, how well did you see this man?" Nina enquired.
"Umm...not very well," Alfie confessed, "but I'm pretty sure it was a man."
"You're pretty sure?" Nina raised her eyebrows.
Alfie didn't say anything, for he knew, as much as everyone else he was in for a scolding from none other than Nina Martin. But before Nina could start, Eddie butted in to prevent a riot from beginning.
"Okay, so I think if Alfie was pretty sure it was a man, we should trust his eyes," Eddie said, trying not to emphasise the point.
"Thank you," Alfie nodded gratefully towards Eddie, with a smug smile as Nina shot him a death glare.
Jerome couldn't help but snicker at Alfie's smile and he got his own personal death glare shot his way by Nina.
"Moving on from that, what are we going to do?" Jerome asked, returning to the topic at hand.
"What can we do?" Amber shrugged.
"I think we should go get Vera," Nina suggested.
"Are you mad?" Jerome asked, "And do what with her exactly? Oh I know! Let's leave her in Trudy's bed. It would be a rather pleasant surprise for her, don't you think?" He remarked sarcastically.
"Actually...I think Nina may be on to something," Eddie added.
"But Jerome has a valid point," Alfie pointed out, "Where would we put an unconscious evil woman?"
A light bulb suddenly appeared in both Eddie's and KT's heads, as they looked at each other and smiled, obviously sharing the same idea.
"What?" Jerome asked, confused.
"The Crypt," KT said simply.
"Crypt?" Jerome said, unaware.
"That place you told me and Amber about on the plane?" Nina smiled.
"Yeah, that one," KT confirmed.
"So, what your saying is, we go get Vera and lock her in the crypt? Am I the only one who finds that weird and creepy?" Alfie asked Sibuna. When no one responded, he just said, "No...okay then," and gave up his attempts to stop the plan.
"So, we'll do it tomorrow morning," Eddie confirmed, "Who wants to do it?" He asked.
And that's when the room fell silent again.
"Chosen one and Osirian always get first dibs," Alfie said.
"Well, that's something else we should probably talk about," Eddie said looking over at Nina.
"We all know right?" Nina asked, "Eddie's not the Osirian anymore."
"I didn't really know in the first place," Jerome pointed out, "Well, I did, but I didn't and don't know what an 'Osirian',-" he used his fingers to make air quotation marks, "-is. And I certainly didn't know he lost his powers, because I didn't know what those powers were."
"Yeah, we might need to catch you up with some of that," KT nodded.
"The Osirian is the Chosen One's -which is Nina- protector. The Chosen One's Osirian is their complete opposite in personality, gender, etcetera. Rufus was Sarah's Osirian-" Fabian began his rant before being interrupted by Jerome.
"Rufus was the Osirian? How could you not tell me this earlier?" Jerome raged.
"Never mind that now, Fabian's explaining," Amber shushed.
"The Osirian is based off the Egyptian god Osiris," Fabian continued, "Eddie destroyed Senkhara, in Nina's body, with her own crown. Ironically, even though the Osirian longs to protect the chosen one, they can not be together. Nina left Anubis because the Osirian and Chosen One can't be together. On graduation day, Eddie used his Osirian to break the Touchstone of Ra and destroy Sophia. He saved the house from falling down. The Osirian is dead, but the he lives and The Chosen One stays alive, but with no Osirian," Fabian finally finished, looking at Nina as he ended.
"Right, so...Nina and Eddie can be together now?" Jerome asked.
"Well, we assume so," Eddie shrugged.
"Okay so, Eddie and I will go get Vera tomorrow and lock her in the crypt, and we'll see where we can go from there? Maybe we might see this man that Alfie saw?" Nina told everyone in a questioning tone.
Everyone nodded silently in agreement and just as everyone was about to leave, Nina spoke again.
"Alfie, you're coming with us," she informed him.
"What? Why me?" He complained.
"Because we need to know if it's the same person or not, and you're the only one who can tell us. Plus, we might need extra help carrying Vera," she told everyone.
"You doubt my muscles?" Eddie chuckled.
Nina smiled and ignored him before adding, "Meet back here, tomorrow morning at 10:00, okay? Sibuna." She placed her right hand over her right eye.
"Sibuna," everyone repeated the trademark gesture and phrase, and left the room, to go do their own things.
Jerome headed upstairs to go say goodnight to Joy, who was lying in her room with Patricia.
"Where have you been?" she enquired curiously, sitting up from her slumped position on her bed, as she put down the book she'd been reading.
Jerome considered telling her, but he realised she would be mad and offended that she wasn't invited. Patricia looked over at him and raised her eyebrows, knowing where he had really been. He didn't want to keep a secret from Joy, but he had to, for her own good. Plus, Sibuna would kill him, if he mentioned anything to her. He was trusted with a secret and this one, he had to keep. He had told Joy,that he was good at keeping secrets, and he wasn't lying, which was a fact he didn't intend to change.
"I was taking a shower," he lied.
~~~~~

Patricia shook her head at Jerome's lie and turned on her bed, so that she was facing the wall, as Jerome and Joy said goodnight to each other. As Jerome left, Joy left the bed and came and sat next to Patricia.

"So, have you talked to Eddie?" She asked.

"That's none of your business," Patricia spat, remembering her conversation with Eddie.

"Okay, sorry," Joy quiet ended down, "But have you told him why you broke up with him? Have your told anyone other than me?"

Patricia didn't respond. She just thought about why she had broken up with Eddie.

~*Flashback*~

It was the middle of a sweltering summer's the night and Patricia was wriggling and squirming in her bed. She woke up and realised Eddie wasn't next to her. She decided to go get a glass of water, since it was so hot, which was probably the reason behind her interrupted sleep. She got out of bed and walked down the hallway, where she could hear voices.

At first, she assumed Eddie had fallen asleep watching TV like he usually does, but then she realised it was in fact Eddie who was doing the speaking. It didn't take her long to recognise the second voice as Nina's, but she couldn't quite make out what they were saying until she reached the end of the hallway, as they were ending their call.

"Don't tell Patricia about, you know, us. She'll go mental!" Eddie told Nina.

At these words, Patricia hid in the hallway, desperate to hear what they were talking about. What did 'us' mean? But unfortunately, they were just about to end their call.

"Oh and don't tell her I've secretly been seeing KT either," he said.

Patricia's heart dropped to her feet. She was on the verge of tears. She could feel her eyes burning as everything became a blur, and the tears began to gently roll down her cheeks.

"Love you," Nina said to Eddie.

"Love you too," he replied.

Patricia couldn't take it anymore. She didn't want to hear the rest of the conversation, she ran to the bathroom where she wiped the tears out of her eyes. She then ran straight to her room and picked up all of her belongings and cramped them in a bag. She went back into the bathroom to collect her things from in there, and after about half an hour, in which Eddie didn't leave the kitchen, she headed for the door.

Unfortunately for her, she bumped into Eddie on the way.

"Yacker, what are you-" he began, but stopped when he saw her pain filled eyes, and the mascara that was dripping down her cheeks.

"Don't talk to me!" She shouted at him, "You useless piece of NOTHING! You're not worth looking at anymore," she said running to pick up his computer.

"What are you-" he stopped when the computer was thrown at him with so much force.

So much force, that he fell over.

"What has gotten into you, Patricia? What was that for?" He asked, standing back up to his feet.

"Don't talk to me!" She snapped, "You're not worth talking to. I don't care anymore. We're done, over, finished!" She headed for the door.

"Why-" he began.

"SHUT UP! Whatever you have to say, isn't worth hearing. Just like the person who says it, isn't worth knowing," she said, her voice beginning to crack as she opened the door.

The door had already been slammed. Patricia had already gone. She had left to go to Joy's house, so that she could get away from that prat.

~*End Of Flashback*~

"Patricia. Patricia!" Joy yelled, waking Patricia up from her trance.

"No, Joy. You're the only one who knows. But I'm going to go tell Mara now. Wanna come with?" She got up and left the room.

"Patricia, wait for me!" Joy yelled after her.

Patricia stopped in the hallway and waited for Joy, and once she had caught up, they both trudged over to Mara's room, that she was sharing with KT and Willow. Patricia knocked on the door politely, but then roughly barged through without waiting for an answer.

Patricia was shocked, at the sight she saw in front of her. Mara was standing up next to what appeared to be an easel. The room was covered in papers with writing all over them and in the corner was an overflowing bin, with crumpled papers. And there sitting on Mara's bed, was one person that Patricia had dreaded seeing these holidays. There, with a smile plastered on her face was none other than Nina Martin.

"Wow," was all Joy said upon entering.

She was standing behind Patricia, but couldn't access the room because Patricia's hand rested on the door handle and door frame. Patricia just stood there awkwardly, with her mouth agape.

"I know. It's a mess!" Mara raised her hands, seeming rather exasperated. "Did you want to speak to me?"

"Hey Patricia! Hi Joy!" Nina smiled, before Patricia responded.

"Ugh," Patricia sighed loudly as she rolled her eyes, slammed the door and stomped back to her room, Joy at heel.

"Now Nina's best buddies with Mara!" Patricia thundered. "First my boyfriend, then my best friends!"

"Now you know how I felt," Joy mentioned quietly. "So, are you mad at Mara?"

Patricia though about her answer, before responding, "No. She doesn't know of Nina's wickedness. We need to arrange that day for us 3, before she turns to the dark side."

Joy scoffed. "The dark side?"

"Nina's side. She used to be my friend but now she's got bad blood," Patricia clarified.

"You know it used to be mad love," Joy joked, apparently quoting Taylor Swift's song Bad Blood.

"What?" She asked, not understanding what Joy was on about.

Patricia didn't get the reference, which made it really awkward, so Joy explained, but Patricia didn't laugh.

"It would've been funnier, if you had of understood it. Explaining takes the fun out of things," she shrugged.
