~House Of Meetings~
"Okay, Eddie, don't you think it's time we discuss why you really called this reunion?" Nina raised her eyebrows, as she and Eddie waited outside Anubis House for Alfie.
"You know I'd really rather not," Eddie told her, as he began to walk towards the forest.
Nina laughed as she pulled him back and said, "Nice try, but you're not going anywhere. We have to wait for Alfie, and you and I both know this subject is bound to come up sooner or later. Do you think we should've told Sibuna?"
"No. We agreed we wouldn't tell them unless it was vital, and at this stage, it's not," he pointed out.
"But I still feel bad keeping something like that from them," Nina admitted.
"We'll tell them eventually Nina, but for now, it's not really a problem," Eddie reassured.
"Eddie, are you listening to what you're saying? We're about to 'rescue' a weirdly suspicious unconscious evil women from the forest and kidnap her and stuff her in a crypt, and you think now isn't a good time to tell them?"
"Well, when you put it that wa-" Eddie started.
But just at that moment, Alfie came bursting out the front doors and galloping down the steps. He made his way over to them, jogging, his jacket half hanging off his shoulders.
"Sorry I took so long. But I always have to look my best when I'm kidnapping someone," Alfie joked, using his hands to make menacing, evil gestures.
"Alfie," Nina chuckled, slapping him playfully.
"Um guys," Eddie interrupted, "I hate to rain on your parade, but has anyone thought of how we're going to actually find Vera?"
"Uh..." Nina and Alfie looked at each other uncertaintly.
"Alfie, go get Jerome," Nina instructed reluctantly, as Eddie smirked at her.
A few minutes later, Alfie came out with a rather confused Jerome who asked, "You wanted me?"
"Alfie, you didn't tell him?" Eddie asked.
"No, he just grabbed me and dragged me out here," Jerome answered for Alfie indignantly.
"We need you to come with us too because we don't know where Vera is," Nina informed him.
"Okay," Jerome shrugged as they waltzed into the forest together.
About 20 minutes later, according to Jerome, the four of them had almost reached their desired destination.
"It took Joy and I hours last time," he mentioned, trying to provoke a conversation.
"Really?" Nina asked, excited to finally speak.
"Uh...Yeah," Jerome said.
Everything fell silent once more, and they all stared at each other. That's when they all burst out laughing.
"What are we even laughing at?" Nina asked, between fits of laughter.
"I don't know," the boys replied in stitches.
They finally regained themselves as they approached the still unconscious body.
"Still unconscious? Wow. Sibuna?" Nina said, putting her right hand over her right eye, and looking at the three boys, who were surrounding her.
"Sibuna," they all repeated, taking deep breaths and looking down at Vera.
"So...How are we going to do this?" Eddie asked.
"We didn't really come prepared, did we?" Nina said, more as a statement than a question.
"Yeah," Jerome agreed, "We probably should've brought a wheelbarrow."
"Don't you think a car would've been a bit more affective?" Alfie asked.
"Boys," Nina muttered to herself, sighing and rolling her eyes.
Unfortunately for her, Jerome heard this remark and retorted with, "Okay then Martin, if girls are so smart, what's your top secret plan?"
"Oh, haha Jerome," she said slowly and sarcastically, "I say we just grab a limb each. Uh...Jerome and Eddie take the arms and fling her over your shoulders. Alfie and I will grab the legs for support. Got it?"
"Proving yourself already Martin," Jerome applauded. "Bravo."
Eddie grabbed Vera's right arm and stood her up with the help of the others. Nina took her right foot while Jerome and Alfie took the remaining parts.
"I'm kind of glad we made you two come," Nina confessed, as her knees buckled under the weight of the fully grown adult.
They were almost at the crypt when Alfie gave up, dropping Vera face first onto the forest ground.
"Alfie, what did you do that for?" Nina groaned.
"Okay, firstly," Alfie began, "my body couldn't take the pressure. I have feet to protect, because I need to use them in my life. I'm not sure if you guys have lives to live, but I do and I'd rather do it with fully functional feet. Secondly, she deserved that face plant!"
"He's got a point," Jerome contributed. "I mean about the whole deserving it thing."
"Okay, fine. Alfie you can open the door to th-" Nina stopped mid sentence, and they all turned to look at Eddie.
"Eddie, please tell me you brought KT's key," Alfie said.
"Um..." Eddie hesitated.
"Eddie!" Nina sighed.
"I'm joking, I'm joking, of course I brought it!" Eddie laughed.
"Not funny Eddie," Nina said seriously.
"You people need to learn how to take a joke," Eddie sighed.
The four of them entered the crypt, the bang of Vera's head on the steps being quite audible. Jerome dusted his hands as they all stared at Vera.
"Take all pointy things out of here. We don't want her to be able to escape," Eddie demanded, "And Alfie, make sure that the crypt is locked."
They all did what they were told. As Nina was walking out, she heard a soft voice call her name. She turned around to see a ghost form of Sarah, standing right before her.
"He needs his powers," Sarah whispered softly, and Nina watched as her kind smile broadened. The smile that was no more.
"Sarah," Nina said solemnly, her voice hushed.
"Sorry?" Jerome asked her.
She looked back up at him.
"Um...Nothing," Nina disregarded.
They walked back to the house together, but Nina pulled Eddie back as the other two entered Anubis.
"We have to tell them," she said. "Sibuna?" Nina raised her right hand over her right eye.
"Sibuna," Eddie copied.
~~~~~
Fabian was coming out of his room, just as Eddie and Nina were entering Anubis House. Eddie quickly made his way out of the foyer and as Nina attempted to follow him, Fabian grabbed her sleeve, and pulled her back.
He was holding the snake necklace in his hands, as he had intended on taking it to his Uncle Ade, but at the moment he had to focus on getting Nina and Mara to forgive him, as he hadn't gotten around to it last night, because of the Sibuna meeting that had been scheduled.
"Nina, listen. Hurting you and Mara, was the last thing I intended to do," He said truthfully.
"Oh, so it was on the list of things to do was it?" Nina remarked sarcastically, marching past Fabian, into the kitchen with Eddie.
Fabian sighed. This was not going to be an easy summer. There was already a mystery in their hands, and Sibuna was going to turn on him, because they were all going to side with Nina and Mara. Just as he was making his way to the front door, Mick came jogging down the stairs. Fabian attempted to hide the necklace, but it was too big and bulky to scrunch up in his hands, and Mick had already seen it.
"Is that poisonous?" He asked, facing Fabian at the bottom of the stairs.
Fabian dropped the necklace and jumped back so that it wouldn't land on his feet.
"Sorry," Mick apologised, "I've been watching too many Harry Potter movies," he bent down to pick it up for Fabian.
"N-no Mick, don't touch that!" Fabian shouted, which would've seemed rather sudden from Mick's perspective.
"Why not?" Mick questioned, standing back up straight.
"Uh...uh...because," Fabian stammered.
"Bit of a stutter there, Rutter?" Jerome teased entering the room. Jerome then realised what the conversation was about, and saved Fabian, by adding, "Because I accidentally dropped it in the toilet. You really ought not to be touching that."
"Oh. Why were you touching it then, Fabian?" Mick enquired further.
"Well, someone has to clean it," Fabian shrugged.
"Okay..." Mick said suspiciously, walking back to his room, glancing back at the pair who were still standing together in the entrance hall.
Once Mick had closed the door, Jerome whispered a quick, "You're welcome," as he ascended the stairs.
Fabian heaved another loud sigh as he followed Mick, back into there room deciding it would be best if he visited his uncle another day. Fabian got back on his laptop and decided to do some research of his own about snakes and there link to Egyptian history and mythology.
He found a website that looked very professional and well presented and decided to share it with Sibuna later. He read the first few lines and chose not to read the rest, as he wanted to call a Sibuna meeting as soon as possible, and he would just save time if he read it out loud to them later. He closed his laptop and rushed into the kitchen to find Eddie, eating an absolutely disgusting sandwich with spaghetti bolognaise in it.
"Sibuna meeting now," they said at the exact same time, Eddie's mouth stuffed with meatballs.
"Eddie, that's disgusting," Fabian complained, shielding his face with his hands, so that he didn't have to watch the sight laid out before him.
"Oh, sorry," Eddie said, finishing his mouthful.
"Right, round everyone up, and meet in our room," Fabian got back onto topic.
"Okay, what time?" Eddie asked.
"As soon as possible," Fabian shrugged.
They both headed off to collect everyone, and met back in their room five minutes later. Fabian was waiting in his room with Alfie and Jerome. The door snapped open and Eddie walked in with Nina, Amber and KT, not having brought Patricia along. They all sat down, and got on with the meeting.
"So," Alfie looked around at everyone, "What's this all about? Found anything on that thingy yet Fabian?"
"It's a necklace Alfie," Fabian began, "And actua-
"Okay, so guys listen up," Eddie interrupted, "Nina and I have something important to tell you."
"We need to tell you why Eddie really called this reunion," Nina continued.
"What do you mean?" Amber asked suspiciously, "I knew you were hiding something."
"Well, Nina and I-" Eddie stated, but looked over at Nina for confirmation before continuing. When she nodded, he finished, "had a...um...shared dream."
"What?" Fabian shot up.
"But- but that's not supposed to happen," Amber shook her head in disbelief, "Eddie isn't the Osirian anymore."
"It's not supposed to, doesn't change the fact that it did, Amber," Nina shrugged, "Sibuna?"
"Sibuna," Amber nodded, copying the sign, before everyone else did the exact same in unison.
"Why didn't you guys tell us?" Alfie cringed.
"I wanted to," Nina clarified.
"But I didn't," Eddie admitted.
"It's usually the other way around," Amber pointed out.
"Well, what was this dream about?" KT asked, logically moving forward.
"It wasn't like any normal dream I've had before," Eddie explained.
"But I have," Nina cut in, "It involved..."
"Sarah?" Amber questioned knowingly.
Nina nodded miserably. Fabian knew she felt sad about Sarah, and he wanted so badly to comfort her and tell her everything would be alright. But with Nina ignoring him, he didn't really see the point in trying to do so, because he knew she would just instinctively shut him out, whether she wanted to or not.
"Wait, who's Sarah?" KT asked.
"She's your Grandpa's half sister KT," Fabian explained, his mind travelling back to the conversation, "A.K.A, the previous chosen one."
"And what did this Sarah women say, exactly?" Jerome asked.
"She just told us that Eddie needs his powers back," Nina confessed, shrugging.
"Wait a second," Jerome began, "This Sarah...She doesn't happen to be old, with wrinkles, blue eyes and white hair, does she?"
"Yeah," Nina said slowly, as her eyes widened, "Why?"
"Because Joy told me about that exact same dream," Jerome informed them.
~~~~~
About half an hour had passed, and Sibuna still hadn't come up with an explanation as to why Joy and Eddie would've shared a dream with Nina, as well as each other. KT was beginning to grow impatient, and deciding this meeting was getting no where, put her foot down and decided to take action.
"Guys!" She shouted over the raucous that was happening in the room. She was honestly astounded that the others hadn't come to see what all the fuss was about. When her first call didn't work, she repeated it, to get everyone's attention, "GUYS!"
Everyone looked up at her, and she realised that she had accidentally taken on the responsibility of what would happen next.
"Okay," She began unsurely, "It's obvious that were not going to get anywhere on this matter, so for now, can we please just move on?"
"Good point KT," Nina agreed, "So Fabian, what have you got for us?"
Fabian looked at Nina suspiciously, and KT tried to work out why, eventually coming to no conclusion. She had noticed in yesterday's meeting that they hadn't been talking very much, and Nina kept throwing him dirty looks. Still bewildered as tmo what was going on between the two, KT shrugged as Fabian moved on.
"Right...Well, I've found this website. I haven't had a good chance to look at it properly, but I've scanned through, and it looks pretty accurate," he informed them.
"Right, well, what does it say?" Alfie enquired.
"Well, it's got a lot on here, but this is the interesting part," Fabian began scrolling on his computer to read, "Snakes were often associated with immortality because they were observed biting their tails to form a circle and when they coiled they formed spirals."
"That necklace is a spiral," Amber pointed out.
"Exactly," Fabian emphasised, "So, I'm thinking, what if Eddie was right?"
"Right about what?" KT asked confused.
"Remember how he thought Victor was watching us? Well, what if he was right and this is Victor's necklace and it somehow makes you immortal?" Fabian suggested.
"But how? And why would Vera have it?" Amber asked reasonably.
"I'm not sure about the immortal stuff, but maybe Victor and Vera got married," Alfie said.
Everyone scoffed at Alfie's remark.
"Yeah, highly unlikely Alfie," Jerome pointed out, "Vera worked for Rufus."
Alfie just shrugged, "Anyone else care to suggest a theory then?" He smirked.
"Whatever," Fabian dismissed as he continued, "Apparently, according to this website, there was a riddle thought given by the God Apep, otherwise known as Apophis, who was the ancient Egyptian spirit of evil, darkness, and destruction, which is still yet to be deciphered."
"And how is this relevant?" Amber asked.
"Well, He was depicted as a huge serpent often with tightly compressed coils to emphasis his huge size, which in a way, is represented by this necklace," Fabian said holding the necklace up.
"Does it have the riddle on there?" Nina asked.
"Uh yeah," Fabian responded, "It says; Ra may rule the sky, but face me and you may as well die, for I am most likely yet to be found, in the opposite of Ra, I am in the ground."
"That's like the easiest riddle we've ever had," Amber shrugged, "How come no one has deciphered it? It basically tells us that the answer is the ground."
Everyone just looked at her in shock.
"What? I listen," she argued, playing with a strand of her hair.
"Okay, so what does it mean?" KT switched subject.
"Jerome should decipher it," Nina jumped in.
"Excuse me?" Fabian asked, obviously offended.
"He's better at deciphering than you," Nina shrugged.
"I am?" Jerome frowned.
"Yeah, remember the year I first came? When Jerome deciphered the numbers 1, 2 and 9 from the page Fabian had been staring at for hours?" Nina pointed out.
"Yeah, but I got it in the end," Fabian defended.
"But Jerome did most of the work," Nina pointed out rudely.
"Okay, what has happened between you two!?" KT asked, not able to bear the fact that she was clueless.
KT had never met Nina before yesterday, but she had been told many times about Nina and Fabian's relationship and how crazy they were about each other since the moment they had met. Most of this information had come from Amber.
"I-" Nina began before freezing.
"Nina?" Eddie asked concerned.
"Nina?!" Fabian yelled as everyone went over to Nina's side.
"Neens!" Amber squeaked
A few minutes later, while everyone was still worrying, Nina came out of her trance and directed her first words to Fabian.
"It was Sarah," she stated, "She told me that it was Victor, and that the message means the tunnels."
"Okay, so we search the tunnels?" Fabian asked.
"No." Nina said rather quickly, "She said you have to search it by yourself."
"Why would she say that?" Fabian asked.
"I don't know. Anyway, Jerome, you try and get more out of Joy and Fabian, you search the tunnels. Sibuna?" She said.
"Sibuna," Everyone repeated, rather taken aback by Nina's sudden organisation and leadership.
All of them, other than Fabian, filed out of the room and closed the door behind them.
"Guys," Nina rounded them up, "That website...It was a fake. Mara and I made it to get revenge on Fabian."
"Go Nina," Amber cheered, as Nina smiled.
"Nina, Mara told me what happened, but why do you need to get revenge?" Jerome asked.
"Are you Jerome?" Amber asked sarcastically.
"Anyway," Nina continued, "That website is a lie. Mara made it. I came up with the lame riddle."
"It was pretty lame," Eddie agreed, "How'd you come up with it?"
"I dunno, it just came to me. I didn't even think," Nina shrugged.
"What if that's a clue?" KT asked, "From Sarah?"
"Never mind that," Amber dismissed, "Why did you tell Mara?"
"It was for the sake of getting revenge on Fabian," Nina confessed.
"That is so unlike you Neens," Amber pointed out.

A/N
Another chapter!
Took long enough...
We said we'd get two up this week, so there will be another chappie out tomorrow.
But for now, here are the discussion questions.
Will Vera escape the crypt?
Will Nina and Mara's plan work, or backfire?
And do you think that the riddle was actually a Chosen One thing, from Sarah?
Anyway, I was going to leave it on a cliffhanger of Eddie and Nina talking about this mysterious reason for the reunion.
But in all honesty; I just couldn't be bothered.
Another one tomorrow, so until then...
