~House Of Catch Ups~

"No way," Amber gasped as her head snapped around to a sight she certainly didn't expect to see, "I would not have guessed that," she admitted.

There, in the corner of that very cafè was none other than Victor Rodenmaar Junior. He was wearing the same (unfashionable) clothes that everyone was used to seeing him wear, and he was sipping on his tea, reading the news paper. He was half hidden behind the greenery of a pot plant, but Nina could make out that he was taking his fob watch out of his pocket to check the time.

He was getting up to leave and at that moment, Amber abruptly stood up from her chair, her lips pursed together, and sped walk over to the door, right where Victor was heading. Victor, not watching where he was heading, ran straight into Amber and was knocked to the floor, while Amber stood her ground.

"Er...Sorry, sorry," Victor apologised frantically, not realising who he had bumped into.

He attempted to stand up, but his hair kept flinging into his face and it took him a rather long time to get up because of the interference between his long hair, and his not very flexible clothes. Amber looked over and Nina and KT, who were both biting there bottom lips, while Amber's eyebrows had risen and her eyes widened, apparently astonished at the fact that Victor had just apologised.

"What? Mi-Miss Millington?" Victor asked in utter disbelief as he recollected himself, and finally realised who it was.

"I'm sorry Victor, I didn't see you there," Amber lied.

"Hello Victor," Nina said, stepping in before Victor could reply to Amber.

"Hello Miss Martin, Miss Rush," Victor acknowledged bitterly.

"May we?" KT asked politely, signalling to the table in which Victor had been sitting.

"Oh, alright," Victor huffed, barely audible.

"Yes!" The girls all whispered in victory.

They all squished up into the little booth, with the girls sitting on one side, and Victor on the other. Everyone then looked at Nina to begin.

"So...how've you been?" She asked awkwardly.

"Ugh," Victor spat with a roll of his head, "Enough chitter chatter Martin, we're not here for a recap of my life. Why did Miss Millington really run into me?"

"You saw through that, huh?" Amber sighed quitely.

"Of course I saw through that. Do I look like I was born yesterday?" Victor thundered.

"No. The day before," Amber muttered so that only KT and Nina could hear, and they both snickered at Amber's witty comeback.

"What was that?" Victor boomed.

"Nothing," Amber smiled too sweetly and innocently for it to be real.

"Well...What am I here for?" Victor asked, ignoring Amber and moving on.

"Eddie and I had the same dream," Nina finally confessed.

"But Eddie isn't the Osirian anymore," Amber added.

Victor frowned slightly in confusion.

"And..." KT hesitated.

"And what, girl?" Victor interrogated.

"Jerome told us that Joy had the same dream," Nina finished, knowing where KT was leading.

"Now, I'm not sure about Edison," Victor admitted, "but leave it with me, I'll do some research. Give me your phone, and I'll enter my number."

"You have a phone?" Amber frowned in disbelief.

"It's the twenty first century Miss Millington, who doesn't have a phone?" Victor retaliated, acting all cool.

"Ahh...Men who pretend to be 60 when they're actually like 101," Amber pointed out.

"Yes, well, I am not 101," Victor argued.

"How old are you the then?" Amber asked, her eyebrows raised.

"I'm 100," Victor defended poorly, gripping the sides of his coat and readjusting it.

"Same thing," Amber rolled her eyes.

"What about Joy?" Nina asked, handing her phone over.

Victor punched in his number and then looked up at the girls who were waiting impatiently for an answer. He opened his mouth like he was about to say something, but the closed it again before anything came out.

"Joy?" Nina prompted, her wrists rotating in circles as to egg him on.

"Er..." Victor stuttered.

"Just tell us!" Amber screeched impatiently.

Victor leaned in closer to the girls and whispered quietly so that only they could hear.

"I'll tell you everything you need to know. But not now, and not here," he looked up to see if anyone was listening in and the bobbed back down and continued, "I put my address and number into your phone, Nina, and I want you to come to my house at exactly this time next week."

"Okay..." Nina frowned, "Why can't you just tell us now though?"

Victor sat back up in his seat and continued, "There are still great dangers in this world Miss Martin. You must not let that-" he pointed to the phone in Nina's grip "-fall into the wrong hands. And I mean that. People can do a lot with my information."

"Alright," Nina agreed, "but there will be some other things we need to discuss when we see you."

Victor nodded knowingly and added, "Alright, I must be off, or I'll be late for my..." He trailed off.

"Late for?" KT asked.

"Er...nothing," Victor dismissed with a wave of his hand and left the shop.

"I'm kind of excited to hear what he has to say," KT admitted, as they walked back over to their table and sat down again.

"Yeah, and about these dangers," Nina mocked using her hands to make spooky movements.

"Why couldn't he just tell us though? Who would listen?" Amber asked.

"What about the person who made Vera unconscious?" Nina suggested.

"I suppose you could be right Neens," Amber agreed.

"Do you think we should've told him about Vera?" KT asked.

"No. He would've flipped," Amber opinionated.

"But guys," Nina interrupted, "Did you see his face? He knows something about Joy."

Just then, Jamie came back to take their dinner orders and Amber pointed out where Victor had gone. They all (including a confused Jamie) watched Victor enter the door to the pilates class, across the road.

"So," Jerome said as he and the rest of the boys exited the cinema and got into the car, "How'd you like the movie?"

"It wasn't bad," Alfie shrugged, "It would've been way better with more action. And Zombies."

"Oh, you and your zombies Alfie!" Mick laughed.

"I thought it was amazing," Fabian chimed in.

"Because your a nerd," Alfie pointed out.

"I am not!" Fabian argued, turning his head around to look at the boys in the back seat.

"Is that so, Rutter? Tell me, how many times have you been to a college party?" Jerome retaliated.

"That's invalid," Fabian protested, "It just means I'm a good kid, and I wasn't raised that way. It doesn't on any scale, classify me as a nerd."

"It does not on any scale classify me as a nerd," Jerome mocked in a ridiculous voice.

"Oh shut up," Fabian frowned.

The car rolled through the traffic in the darkness of the night, and Jerome sat there, restless, eager to get up and do something.

"Eddie, where are you taking us?" Jerome asked suddenly.

"Good question, my friend," Eddie complimented, "I happen to know this little place downtown. I've been here with Patricia before. And we are here."

Eddie parked the car and they got out and stood in front of a huge building that looked like a rainbow music note. When the boys had finally clicked, as to where they were, they all looked at Eddie with disapproving stares.

"What? It'll be fun. You don't even have to sing. Let's just have dinner and watch others humiliate themselves," He laughed, walking towards the entrance.

The boys trudged behind him and upon entrance, they were greeted with a pink glow in the room, coming from the lights in the ceiling. The stage was empty, and to their right was a bar. Behind the bar was a restaurant, all still connected, but slightly more isolated to the stage. The boys found a table where the stage was still visible and sat down to take a look at the menus.

"So Eddie, what's going on with you and Patricia then?" Jerome asked nosily.

"I'd rather not talk about it," Eddie dismissed.

"Oh, come on dude," Jerome encouraged.

"Fine," Eddie gave in, "but the truth is, I don't actually know. She kind of just finished us and I have no reason why."

"None at all?" Fabian asked.

"Nope," Eddie admitted.

"Well tell us what happened and we may be able to figure out why," Fabian suggested.

"Um...No thanks," Eddie rejected.

"Alright then. What about you Mick? How's Australia?" Jerome asked.

"Oh, actually, don't tell anyone, but I think I'm moving back here," Mick whispered.

"Really? Why?" Alfie asked.

"Well, dad's coming back here for work, and my scholarship has ended, so I want to come back," Mick informed them.

"That's awesome. Did you meet any girls in Australia?" Jerome asked.

"Yeah, I did, after I got over Mara. Her name was Jasmine Jones and she was a physicist," Mick told them.

"A physicist?" Jerome asked surprise, "A little to smart for your liking, isn't she Mick?"

Mick didn't respond, he just made a face at Jerome as if to say 'Really? You wanna go there?'.

"So what? The relationship crashed and burned?" Alfie asked.

"No, she had to move to Asia and we couldn't make the long distance thing work," Mick admitted.

"Sounds familiar," Jerome coughed.

"Oh shut it Jerome. I'm sorry about that Mick," Fabian sympathised.

"Yeah, it's okay," Mick shrugged.

"Because you're still into a different brainiac?" Jerome smirked.

"What?" Mick asked confused.

"So we've done Mick and Eddie," Jerome said, moving on before Mick caught on, "now what about you, Rutter? I've heard from Mara about your, shall we say...problems?"

"And what 'problems' have you heard of, exactly?" Fabian asked, using air quotations around the word problems.

"You know, the problem in which you kissed Martin while you were still dating Jaffray," Jerome said.

"I wouldn't be bagging me, if I were you Jerome," Fabian said confidently, "Because that sounds an awful lot like what you did."

"Yes, it does," Jerome admitted, "but I got my happily ever after. Who knows how yours will turn out," he taunted.

"So...Eddie. What are you going to do to get Patricia back?" Fabian completely changed subjects out of the blue.

Jerome knew he had one the battle against Fabian, and for that exact reason, couldn't wipe off the smirk that was now permanently glued to his face.

"I don't know," Eddie shrugged.

"Write her a poem," Alfie joked.

"Or...a letter," Jerome said, his eyes wide like tennis balls.

"A letter?" Eddie laughed.

"No, Eddie I was serious. That's how Joy and I got back together," Jerome told them.

"Yeah, but dude, Joy and Patricia are two totally different people," Eddie pointed out.

"Trust me Eddie. It'll work. If you're stuck, ask Trudy for help. She was really helpful when I wrote one," Jerome informed.

"How's Joy, Jerome? Fabian asked, obviously deciding the previous topic had come to an end.

"She's better," Jerome said.

"Um, guys, what are we talking about?" Mick asked, obviously bewildered.

"Oh, hasn't any one told you? Joy's parent split up, and bot Joy and her mum have been distract ever since," Alfie explained.

"I saw her last night when all you guys had magically disappeared," Mick said, but obviously didn't notice the glances shared between the four other boys, "She didn't look distraught."

"I think it's because she's here with all of us," Jerome said. "You should've seen her before we came. She was an absolute mess."

"And you were an absolutely brilliant boyfriend," Alfie complimented, patting Jerome on the back.

"This is what you miss out on when you're in-" Alfie began.

"-Hey guys," Mick interrupted before Alfie finished.

"What?" They all asked in unison.

"I don't want to interrupt your chit chat, but there is something that you have to see," Mick said pointing towards the stage.

~~~~~
After all the commotion, Patricia was now finally being pulled by the crowd towards the stage.
"Joy?! Willow?!" she asked urgently.
"Yes? So what song are you going to sing? Ooooohh, what about Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz?" Willow stood where she was in a daze.
"Sorry," Joy shrugged her shoulders. "You hear Mara, a deal's a deal."
You could tell Mara and Joy were trying so very hard to hold back their smirks but it just couldn't be done. Their grins were about as wide a ruler as they watched Patricia suffering in her worst nightmare.
"Hello, hello, hello! Welcome young lady to our Karaoke Voice Battle! Now what's you name, what you're going to sing and how you feel about being up here?" Anthony yelled into the microphone jubilantly.
The look on her face explained it all.
"Ermm, so, what's your name?" Anthony smiled nervously, glancing at the crowd every few seconds.
Silence.
"Ermm, anyway what song are you going to sing?"
Silence still.
"The Climb by Miley Cyrus!" Joy shouted from the crowd happily.
"Now she'll be singing one of my favourites," Willow whispered to Mara and Joy who were trying to hold in their laughter.
Patricia groaned awkwardly into the microphone which was still held in front of her face.
"Alrighty then! This beautiful young lady is going to now sing; The Climb! Music please!" Anthony yelled, handing a slightly embarrassed Patricia a sparkly black microphone and walking gracefully off the stage.
"Well at least the microphone looks alright," she muttered.
"Go Patricia!" Willow encouraged from the crowd.
"Oi! Shut it, don't interrupt the singing!" a grumpy guard yelled at her angrily.
"Oh I am very, very, very sorry," Willow said solemnly, walking over to the guard.
"Uh, Willow? Where are you going?" Mara asked uncertainly.
"Oh, just to comfort the big grumpy guard over there. He definitely needs a hug. I'll be back soon!" she said as she skipped off over to the guard.
Meanwhile Patricia was in her worst nightmare. The music had started and you could hear Patricia's voice for miles. It was not only loud, but surprisingly she had a brilliant voice. Willow wondered why she didn't sing more often and had concluded she had a secret talent she had been hiding from everyone.
As Willow approached the guard, she was distracted by a sight that she certainly hadn't expected to see. She noticed Alfie and the other boys in the restaurant, watching Patricia in awe. She took a detour from her destination and skipped in the direction of the boys.
"Hi!" She said happily.
"Hi Willow," Fabian said, not moving his eyes from the direction of Patricia.
Eddie suddenly diverted his glare from the stage and looked urgently at Willow.
"Willow, can you do us a favour?" He asked and proceeded without an answer, "Please don't tell Patricia that we were here."
"Okay. I'm good at keeping secrets," Willow nodded, "But...Why do I have to keep it?"
"I don't know, just please do it," Eddie begged.
"Okay," Willow agreed, leaving the boys and heading back over to Joy and Mara.
Patricia finally exited the stage and came into the huddle where her friends were standing.
"Patricia, you were amazing! We only made you sing because you recommended this place. Why didn't you tell me you could sing? I though I knew everything about you!" Joy spluttered.
"That was the worst song choice possible though," Patricia confessed modestly, "Why did you make me sing that? I would've chosen a Sick Puppies song."
"But you don't sound like a sick puppy," Willow complimented, "Thank you for singing one of my favourite songs! Over the Rainbow would have been better though."
"It wasn't in range," Patricia admitted.
"Oh yes it was," Mara smiled, "Especially when you do it. I'm really mad."
"Why?" Patricia asked.
"Because I thought I was the good singer of the group!" Mara laughed, "I suppose tonight's proven otherwise."
"Does that mean you're going to sing?" Willow asked, her eyes widening by the second.
"I promised I'd go after Patricia," Mara shrugged as she headed up onto the stage, a round of applause following.
They did the same introduction thing for Mara, and Patricia headed to the bathroom, leaving just Willow and Joy alone.
"Joy, I really need to tell you something," Willow admitted.
"What is it?" Joy asked, focusing on Mara.
Willow opened her mouth like she was about to say something but closed it before opening it again and saying, "I can't tell you."
"Whatever Willow," Joy said, not caring.
"Oh fine! Geez! You don't have to pester me Joy! I'll tell you!" Willow sighed.
"Okay then," Joy said confused, turning towards Willow.
"The boys are in the corner over there," Willow spilled, pointing towards the boys who didn't notice her.
Joys mouth fell open in shock and Willow closed it with her hand.
"Just do not tell Patricia," Willow instructed.
Joy gave her a look that said 'I can't' but Willow demanded.
"You have to! I wasn't meant to tell anyone!" She said.
"Okay fine," Joy sighed, just as Patricia came back from the toilet.
They all watched Mara finish her song and applauded loudly along with the rest of the crowd, Willow being the loudest. Willow was the next to get on stage, singing the first song that came to mind, which was a nursery rhyme that her grandpa had taught her and out of the corner of her eye, she watched Patricia, Alfie and Jerome sing a long a bit.
She got down from the stage, took a deep breath in and took a bow in front of Patricia, Mara and Joy.
"Good Job Willow!" Mara complimented.
"Let's go to that restaurant," Patricia suggested.
"No," Joy said hastily, "Let's go next door. It will be quieter."
"Alright," Patricia agreed reluctantly.
"Wait one second," Willow said as she went over and gave the security guard a big hug before leaving with the others.
A/N
Alright...
So Patricia can sing.
That's messed up.
I was going to be evil and do someone else's POV and leave a cliffhanger of Mick pointing towards the stage, but I'm not that mean.
On a side note...
VICTOR IS BACK!
So, what does Victor know?
How are the boys going to approach Patricia now? Will they say anything?
And who do you ship from HOA? OC's (Jamie and Jasmine) included.
